First of all HAPPY HOLI!!!

This is a one shot written by Rupanshi (PunjabiKudi_17) and me (Mahnaz).

"Ji, daadi aayi!" Kriya yelled from her room and rushed downstairs. It was the grand festival of holi and her husband was missing from the house since morning. And having all the guests and every relative in the house, just made the matters worse. Every time she met someone they would ask about Rey or ask if she was planning to have a baby.

She was busy in preparations since yesterday and all Rey did was fool around with her. She had called him for almost thirty times but every single time it went to voice mail. She was raged right now and all relatives asking for her help did not help either.

One thing she noticed was that all the kids from the house had vanished and if she asked their mothers they would just make an excuse. At least if they were here, they would help their Kriya chachi.

Clad in a white ghagra choli she made her way out to the front yard. The preparations she did we're looking quiet good. The others in the house already started playing holi. She was so jealous of all the aunties present in the house. All of them had their husbands apply colour to them first but she did not even touch the colors waiting for Rey.

Rey. She hadn't seen Rey since the morning and was continuously calling him muttering things like.

"Please Rey, jaldi aao Kahan hain aap." And "Main aapki family ko aur nahi sambhal sakti, phone uthaao."

It was then she heard a car rather jeep entering the gate and when she turned she saw Rey stepping out of the driver's seat and standing in front of the jeep with all their college friends and the bacha party with him.

"Never fear when Rey is here." Rey said the most common line looking at her and giving a heart melting smile.

All the kids and their friends started shouting "Happy Holi." And simultaneously walked past Kriya, leaving Kriya and Rey alone.

All this time Rey was just checking out Kriya and giving her the innocent smile whereas Kriya was glaring at Rey, fuming with rage.

"Aapko pata hai..." Kriya started to scold her husband, but he stepped forward real quick and held her by her waist, tracing his fingers on it.

"Ab to tumhaara pati parmeshwar bhi aagaya ya phir tumhaara hero, ab to gussa mat karo." He said in that husky voice of his. Kriya's breathing started to uneven because of their physical proximity.

Rey leaned in to dig his head in he neck but she resisted, his grip getting tighter as a reward to her actions. Kriya smirked at him and leaned in until their faces were less than three inches apart and whispered.

"Aap tab hi hero banoge jab aap apni heroine ko rang lagaoge." She brought her hand to his face applying red color on his cheek and ran away, breaking apart from his grip, laughing at his face.

Rey was shocked at first that the innocent and naive Kriya can do something like this, but soon recovered. He ran after her taking a handful of color in his hand.

Kriya squealed as she saw Rey coming after her and ran as fast as she could. She cursed herself for wearing a ghagra as she couldn't run well in it. She passed Sharon laughing and hid behind Swayam. Rey came to Swayam and asked him to move.

"Swayam, hatt na saamne se." Rey told Swayam.

"Nai! Swayam tum agar hatoge na to mein kabhi baat nai karungi sochlo." Kriya shrieked, laughing at Rey.

"Swayam!" Rey said, giving him a death glare. Swayam was dumbfounded and Sharon was laughing behind him. Tired of this tom and jerry game he decided to move but Kriya's hands left his shoulders as soon as the thought crossed his mind. He looked back and saw her running towards the house, laughing. But when he turned, he saw green color flying towards him.

Rey quickly apologized for what he did and continued his chase after Kriya.

Kriya ran inside the house trying to get away from Rey. Soon after Rey followed her inside and they were creating a havoc near the sofas. Rey was jumping over the sofas, trying to catch Kriya.

Kriya sees Rey's daadi entering in the hall and runs off to the stairs leaving Rey confused. Kriya completes climbing almost half the stairs and Rey again starts following her.

"Rey beta." Rey heard a voice from behind him. Rey closes his eyes and turns around.

"Ji Daadi, Kuch kaam tha." He asked, in a very impatient voice and wishing that his daadi would say no and let him go.

"Yeh, kya haal banaya hua hai aapne iss kamre ka, chaliye ab theek kariye isse." Daadi said in a very stern voice. Rey was about to whine and object but he saw Ansh, his cousin's son walking by. Rey quickly grabbed Ansh as soon as he walked past him and said "Daadi, yeh Maine nai Ansh ne kiya. Isse saaf safai karwaiye, ok." Rey blabbered and went towards the stairs hearing Daadi scold Ansh and Ansh trying to tell her he didn't do it.

Kriya entered their room and tried to hide somewhere, but nothing worked. She suddenly heard the door knob twist and quickly hid behind the couch.

As soon as Rey opened the door knob, he couldn't find Kriya anywhere he was about to go out when he sees Kriya's dupatta lying on the floor. He goes near the couch whereas Kriya is hoping he doesn't come any closer.

Rey sees Kriya and is about to reach out to her when she gets up from behind the couch and starts to go towards the door, trying to be faster than Rey. Rey fails to hold her so he catches her dupatta instead.

Kriya was about to exit their room, when she felt her dupatta being held by Rey. Her breath hitched.

Kriya started panting as Rey tugged the dupatta towards him and her hand involuntarily clutched the dupatta near her chest. She kept stepping back until her back hit Rey's chest. They stood like that for a minute or two, Kriya panting and Rey's hot breath teasing her neck and ear.

"Rang nai lagana?" Kriya asked him, blushing.

"Itni aasani se nai Mrs. Singhania. Yahan nai sabke saamne lagaaunga. Aakhir Sab ko pata chale ki Rey apni Biwi par kitna haq jatata hai." And then he left her dupatta and stepped back.

Kriya looked at him for three seconds and ran down blushing. Kriya was out of the house, in the yard, running while blushing. She suddenly crashed into Sharon.

Sharon looked at the suddenly blushing Kriya and asked "Tum Theek to ho na Kriya?"

Kriya sees Rey coming out of the house and starts blushing. Sharon notices this but stays quiet. Kriya and Rey keep stealing glances of one another.

After sometime Kriya and Sharon are talking about something when Rey came behind Kriya and motioned Sharon to keep quiet.

But Sharon being Sharon, did not listen to him and pushed Kriya on him. Kriya stumbled a bit but Rey catches her at the right time and they have a eye lock for eternity.

Sharon clears her throat, bringing both of them back to Earth. Just when Kriya thinks that Rey will let go off her but right then Rey picked her up bridal style in his arms and held her close.

Kriya was shocked at what he did. It was not only that their friends were here. But Rey's family was also present and it embarrassed her every time she acknowledged her position with Rey. Kriya thought that something very romantic is gonna take place as soon as Rey started walking.

Kriya was just blushing and Rey was smirking. Rey walked towards the big tub filled with water and colour mixed in it and dropped her in it.

Kriya was shocked to no end, she was fuming with rage and literally turned red, partially because of the color and the other half because of the anger boiling in her.

Rey, Swayam, Sharon and everybody else were laughing and Kriya was just staring at Rey, horrified.

Kriya looked at Rey like she was ready to kill him. She stepped out of the tub and stood in front of Rey. Rey knew something really bad was going to come but he was hell shocked when Kriya did nothing but walk away.

After that everything became back to normal. Kriya was not talking to Rey and he was literally dying to talk to her.

Kriya, all the time was hanging out with Ansh or other kids and aunts not giving a chance for Rey to speak to her.

Kriya was talking to Ansh, both of them complaining to each other about Rey.

"Aapke Rey chacha Bahut bure hain, aapne dekha na unho ne kaise mujhe paani Mein daal diya." Kriya complained.

"Haan chaachi, unhon ne to Daadi ko bhi jhoot bola ki Maine hall Mein gandagi ki." Ansh made a crying face.

All this time Rey was looking at Kriya, wanting to talk to her, it was almost evening and he hadn't even applied color on her though he threw her in the tub, but it only fumed her. She looked beautiful pouting and talking to all those kids surrounding her.

Kriya heard one of the relatives call her for help and excused herself from Ansh.

"Ansh, main abhi aati hun. Phir hum khoob holi khelenge." Ansh nodded excited, he loved his chaachi a lot. She was the only one who took his side in front of his mother, when he didn't do her homework and then made him do it quickly.

Ansh was sitting there waiting for his chaachi when he heard a whistling sound from the bushes behind him.

"Ansh... Ansh!!" Someone whisper yelled. Ansh was scared and wanted to run away when finally the person came out.

"Chaachu aap?" Ansh yelled.

Rey quickly covered his face and said "Aahiste, chaachi ne sunliya na.." He trailed off.

"Main apse gussa hun... Main apse baat nai karunga." Ansh said, pretending to be angry.

"Ansh... Ansh... Sorry na Ansh." Rey whined.

"Acha Theek hai tu baat mat kar Mein karta hun" Rey said, after sometime.

"Dekh, Teri Kriya chaachi mujhse gussa hai, usse please ghar ke andar layega plz." Rey pleaded.

"Main aapki baat kyun maanu, main bhi apse gussa hun." Ansh turned away from him.

"Arey... Mere bhai, Mere baap. Sorry, tujhe Jo chahiye woh dunga okay." Rey said continuously pleading.

"Kuch bhi?" Ansh asked, taking advantage.

"Haan Kuch bhi." Rey replied, desperate.

"Mujhe kal ice cream khilaane le chaliye?" Ansh asked.

"Pakka." Re replied.

"To aapka kaam hogaya." Ansh said. Rey gave him a quick hug and went in the house to vacate the place.

Kriya came back to see a super excited Ansh and asked him what happened.

"Ansh... Aap Theek hain." Kriya asked concerned.

"Chaachi, Mujhe na aap ko Kuch dikhana hai, chaliye mere saath." He tells this in the most dramatic way and starts to pull Kriya along with him by her hand.

When they reach in the house, Ansh gives an excuse of forgetting something and asks her to wait in the house, closing her eyes.

Rey sneaks up on Kriya and taps on her shoulder. Kriya smiles and turns around, but the smile soon vanishes when she sees Rey was the one standing behind her.

She is about to leave when Rey holds her wrist and says.

"Sorry na Kriya. Abhi yeh ignoring session band karo yaar please." He pleaded. Unlike other days, he was pleading a lot today to different people.

"Aapne Mujhe ab tak color nai lagaya... Main apse naraz hun. Ab himmat hai to lagao." Kriya frees her wrist and goes into the kitchen.

Rey was about to follow her when Taani stops him.

"Rey aapne Mujhe to color lagaya hi nahi." She said with that fake innocent face.

Rey stutters for a while but then gets an idea as he sees Kriya coming out of the kitchen with a plate of colour.

"Vaise. Patni ke hote hue pati kisi aur ko rang lagaye achi baat to nahi par agar patni hi nai chahti ke pati use rang lagaye to chalta hai." Rey replied eyeing Kriya.

"To lagaiye na Rey. What are you waiting for." Taani said desperately.

Rey takes a little bit of colour from the nearby table and proceeds to apply the colour on her. Kriya is fuming and stalks towards Taani.

She put all the colour from the plate on Taani and Taani is shocked to no end, whereas Rey is trying to suppress his laughter.

"Tumhe Rey se color lagwaana tha na, to Rey ki biwine tumhe colour lagadiya. Khush." Kriya said sarcastically.

Taani is on the verge of crying and leaves the place fuming, hoping that Rey will stop her. Poor her that day will never come.

Kriya is standing with her back facing Rey and glaring at Taani. If looks could kill Taani would most probably be dead by now.

Rey suddenly hugged Kriya from behind, startling her and whispered.

"I'm sorry." These two simple words made Kriya shudder as his warm breath touched her earlobe.

Kriya blushed and turned to face Rey and he immediately applied colour on her face. Kriya looked at him with eyes full of love and smiled like a love struck teenager and Rey looked like her nonetheless.

"I love you..." Rey said and scooped her in his arms bridal style heading towards their room.

Aage aap log apni imagination use karo.
