CHAPTER 5: HISTORY REPEATS

Khushi was in love! and the feeling was beautiful. She wanted to shout, yell, and jump. She felt that she was on top of the world. She wanted to tell Arnav and she would do this tonight. Earlier, Arnav had called and told her to attend some business party with him. and she was very excited. So right now she stood in front of mirror looking for last minute changes when she heard a car screeching by followed by a loud honk. And she knew it was him.

Arnav was waiting impatiently for Khushi. It was a business party and like always he hated going alone. And so he had asked Khushi. he just needed some time to spend with her and this was a perfect excuse to do so.

Arnav and Khushi entered the party together like a perfect couple hand in hand. And they definitely grabbed many eyeball. Khushi was being conscious. She could feel many eyes boring her skin. But one look at Arnav, all her fears went down the drain.

"Arnav! its so good to see you" a too girly, sugar coated voice greeted him.

Arnav frowned. He turned to look when he was surprised to see their college friend ashima there. But soon that surprise was replaced by worry. Ashima always had crush on him and at the same time Khushi and ashima couldn't stand each other. And what worried him most was Khushi didn't even remember her a bit. This smelled trouble.

"hey ashima! What are you doing here?"

"its ash! Stop being formal. I came with my father and my god, you still look sexy as ever" she leaned and kissed his cheek. Khushi was furious. Who the hell was this girl and how dare she kiss Arnav?

"oh my! Khushi? you guys are still together? How have you been?" Khushi frowned and looked confused. Does she know her? she looked at Arnav who was giving her a nervous smile and yet nodded.

"I am fine (turning to Arnav) lets meet the host. He must be waiting for us."

"excuse us ash" Arnav said

Time flew by. Both were busy socialising but ashima was busy ogling Arnav. Khushi did notice did but said nothing. She saw ashima approaching Arnav many times. They both laughed together. She knew they were together in college but she couldn't stand them together. If that wasn't enough, Arnav was also too involved with her. why the hell was he doing so? She didn't like this a bit.

Arnav tried to keep Khushi away from ash as much as possible and for this, he talked to her, dodged her flirtatious remarks. But what he didnt knew was how this was affecting Khushi.

It was time for dance. Khushi stood in corner having her fruit punch waiting for Arnav to ask her for one dance but he never did. she saw ash asking for a dance and what surprised her was that Arnav agreed. She was furious. She wanted to punch Arnav and at the same time pull ash's hair and then burn her into ashes.

Arnav was uncomfortable with the closeness he was sharing with ash. They were dancing on a slow romantic number. He could feel ash throwing herself at him but he didn't want to push her. he had to keep her away from Khushi and he could pay any cost tonight. He sighed. He would be having a lot of answering to do tonight.

Khushi couldn't stand this anymore. The way she was throwing at Arnav was making her fume more. The music was about to end and she was glad that it was over. As the song ended, she had the final blow. Ash had smacked her lips with Arnav's. damn her! Ash was kissing Arnav! that's it. she gave one final look at Arnav and walked off in anger.

Arnav had never anticipated the kiss. As soon as he felt ash kissing her, the first thing he saw was Khushi glaring at them and then walking out. he pushed ash away," never ever do that again" he warned her and ran after Khushi

Khushi was furious and muttering under her breath. How dare he? How dare he kiss that girl? She kept walking outside the venue towards the car when she realised that she didn't even come in her own car. she sighed and turned when she came in face to Arnav.

"Khushi..I.." but she didn't wait to listen. She was about to leave when caught her arm.

"Khush, whatever you saw, it isn't like that" Arnav tried to explain

"I don't care"

"Khush, I swear it was Ash"

"Ash? Eh?"

"I mean Ashima"

Khushi struggled to free her arm, "leave it Arnav. I am in no mood to listen"

"Khush i..."

Khushi snatched her hand away," dammit Raizada! What language do you understand? I said leave me alone, will you? Just go to her. your little precious Ash must be waiting for you"

Arnav looked at her in disbelief," why the hell are you over reacting?"

"I am over reacting? I am? she kissed you Arnav! and you feel I am over reacting? fine! I am! happy? Now leave me alone"

Arnav sighed," Khush..i didn't mean to.."

"I exactly know what you meant Arnav. for god's sake, leave me alone"

"whats your problem Khushi? why cant you listen to me for once?" Arnav yelled.

Khushi was furious. She pushed Arnav," you, you are my problem. From the day I have met you, you have been invading my dreams. I tried to keep away from you, but you? No, you have to come in front me. I decided to work when the person I am trying to ignore turns out to be by boss. What am I supposed to do? When I try to leave, he doesn't let me. And then one day, he suddenly tries to make me remember my past. And I do get flashes. Making me all curios and desperate. And then? Nothing. He doesn't even say a word. And then suddenly, I realise I am in love. yes, I am in love with you Bloody a** thick headed baboon Raizada. I Love..."

But the words never came out. Arnav shut her mouth with his. And after a wait of long time period, Arnav kissed his Khush. he kissed her like no tomorrow. The need, the love, the desperation he had for Khushi came in form of kiss. Khushi could feel his need. What started as a heat of moment, turned out be a passionate kiss of love. Arnav broke the kiss breathing heavily," I love you too"

Arnav was stealing glances with Khushi while driving while Khushi was blushing. The kiss they shared some time ago was still fresh in her mind. She smiled to herself. Whenever Khushi would look at him, Arnav would wink and give her his seductive smile. Khushi shook her head," will you concentrate on driving"

"I am"

"no, you are not"

"I love you"

"I love you too, Arnav. now please drive carefully"

"I am Khush"

"no you are not"

"yes"

"no"

"yes"

"no"

"yes"

"no"

"yes"

"ARNAV WATCH OUT" and the loud screech followed next. Khushi felt a dj vu. She felt like she was living this moment again. Arnav was afraid. Afraid to lose Khushi again. No, not again. not this time.

1 hour later

Arnav was pacing in the hospital corridor. Tears were rolling down his cheeks. No! this couldn't happen again. he cant lost Khush again. he had just got her back. Arnav had applied breaks on time. No one was hurt. Both were safe but Khushi, she had fell unconscious. He had immediately rushed to the hospital. And since then he was pacing around. Their families were on the way.

"Arnav"

He looked over to see their families rushing his way. "how did this happen?" he heard his mother ask. and then he broke. He hugged his mother tight letting out everything that happened.

"I cant lose her again mom. I cant"

"Arnav, nothing will happen. Doctors are there. She will be fine"

At the same moment, doctor came," Mr. Raizada?"

"how is she doctor?" Arnav asked

"she is fine but I am sorry"

"sorry?"

"she is in coma" the doctor declared

"No! how? She wasn't hurt, right? Will she be fine?" Arnav asked.

The doctor sighed," Khushi isn't hurt physically but mentally she is. She was stressed. We all know that. and this accident triggered her mind. She went back to the night of accident but her mind wasn't able to take that stress. We still don't know if she has regained her memory. This trigger may have given her, her memories or it may even happen that it would be wiped out completely but at the same time, it has put her in state of coma. It's a miracle that she is alive as such triggers in delicate condition like her may be fateful."

"when will she be out of coma?"

"we cant say. It can be 2 hours, two weeks, months or may be never. I am sorry"
