Yello :)

I've been a bit MIA- I caught a bad cold from my brother recently. And I might be a bit MIA in the future as well- my semester is starting very, very soon, and I'm slated to work for two weeks at one of the Uni departments before I start class so... :s Life got real busy real fast. I don't know if I'll be as frequent as before but...I'll try my best, so wish me luck :)

Thank you all so much for all your love and support!!

ArHi Drabble|Bothered|

He was not truly bothered.

Granted, NK held the world record for driving him spare faster than anyone else. Granted, his flamboyant, loud and boisterous personality sat at complete odds with his own sombre, serious and cool one. Granted, they could probably never see eye to eye over anything.

But the fact of the matter was, allowing NK's impromptu decision to take over the Indian affairs of his family business to bother him would only mean he was allowing NK to get the better of him.

And he was above that.

He had tolerated the other man's presence under his roof before. Though it did irk him that NK could not just rent a flat of his own or splurge at a hotel, after some cool-headed thinking he reasoned that it only made sense that he stay with his only relatives in the city. NK just happened to be that type of person. Whether or not it was years or months since he had last seen his Maasi and cousin, for all his camaraderie one would think Mami had been the one to raise him and Akash had been his play-pen-pal.

He could not really begrudge the man for being attached to his family.

So, whether or not he scowled every time NK sauntered into the room or was being particularly (and, he suspected, intentionally) loud, he could still tolerate it and keep the peace.

He was not bothered by a nuisance as small as that.

Oh, no.

What bothered him was that as much as he was not bothered, someone else was.

And most certainly not in the same sense of the word as he strove not to be.

Because this person had bothered to come over the moment she had heard of NK's arrival.

Because this person had bothered to be so excited about his long-term stay that she'd returned the next day with a batch of her handmade sweets to celebrate.

Because this person had been bothered to ask him if there was anything he needed at all, if there was any way she could help.

It made him scowl, and sulk, and subject everyone to spells of mutinous silences- because even though he was bothered, he did not know what to do about it.

It's nothing much, really but...I hope you like it :)

I don't know when I'll be posting anything else...really depends on the workload. I'll try my best though :) The next update should either be the epilogue for MDJND or the last chapters for Fortunate Events :)

And OH- to everyone who's read and reviewed the last chapter of MDJND- THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! You guys have no idea how much it means to me!! I'm still kind of dazed that the story is finished...but it's been a beautiful journey thanks to you guys and I loved every moment of it :) Thank you all SO MUCH for everything!! I wish I could come and hug you all individually for being such sweethearts! <3 :')

Nafisa In the show Arnav was very much portrayed as the angry young man, but I've come to a great realisation today; he was actually always the grumpy old man, constantly grumbling and irritated at and with everything, of course he was never bothered about his strange possessive attachment to Khushi, of course he was never bothered that NK liked her lovingly. Of course not... Manreet :)
