This Drabble came about because, after a month of surviving on coffee, I finally got my hands on some tea- and my brain somehow equated that with ArHi (my brain does that a lot).

This Drabble might not make sense, I'm warning you now :P

ArHi Drabble |Tea or Coffee?|

Khushi preferred tea.

Arnav was partial to coffee.

Khushi had once, out of curiosity, taken an experimental sip out of his coffee-mug while it stood, its rich fragrance perfused in the steam rising over it, next to his laptop.

She had promptly emitted a rather choked squeak, grimaced as though she'd swallowed a lemon whole, and swore that the brew had been bitter enough to curl up her hair.

Arnav disagreed.

He thought coffee was the perfect drink for him- sharp and strong, giving his energy levels a kick-start, keeping him alert at all times. He said he found it bracing- everything about it from its aroma to its taste.

Khushi sourly commented that she doubted whether he knew what it tasted like anymore, because it had likely destroyed his taste-buds. She could not understand, she told him, why he would not just drink tea like everyone else in the family.

Arnav scoffed. Tea was too weak, he thought. Far too mild and placid to really do anything.

Khushi disagreed.

She thought tea was soothing, relaxing- it was refreshing to sit with a cup, carefully brewed, with a touch of ginger. She said it warmed one from the inside out, snug and comforting.

Arnav sourly commented that Khushi probably had no idea what a weak, tasteless concoction tea was because all the biscuits she dunked in it disguised the taste.

The two of them squabbled over it the whole afternoon, knowing full well that they would squabble over it again, and again, and again later- in the mornings when they sat together for breakfast, or when he took her out on one of his free days, or when he had just come back home from work and wanted to spend some time with her.

But that was alright.

Because no matter how different tea was from coffee, they could sit side by side.

Leave your thoughts, please? :)

Thank you all SOOO MUCH for all your lovely, wonderful comments! I can't tell you how happy they make me :))

PMs later! Got to get back to work now :'(

What we eat or drink do reflect what we are to a certain extent. And both arnav n kushi are correct in their assessment to a certain extent. Me... I love both. So what does that make me? A bitter but overly sugared person!
