CHAPTER 16

"ap kya keh rahe hai rashid?" dilshad paused in shock; "apne mere bache ka sauda kar diya" she continues with her hands on mouth.

Rashid turned baffled looking at dilshad with a shock. He did not expect this to happen. This was definitely not in his plan. How come this happened? How soon? He asked himself looking at dilshad with shock.

"dilshad nai, bat wo nahi hai" he tried to say something even before dilshad barked on his face, "No more lies Rashid, how did you ever thought of doing this with my son. Have you forgotten his mother is still alive! And I am still here Rashid and won't let you take my son's happiness at any cost" dilshad pointed her index finger at Rashid to warn him; "you better have not Mr rashid ahmed khan, because if you think , you can do anything wrong in my presence to my children, you will have to face consequences even for thinking it." she completed ticking her finger in air like a lioness.

"Dilshad!" Rashid scolded her raising his voice to shut her voice but it did not help him, but made dilshad more furious.

"NAHI RASHID!!, apke awaj chadhane se sach , jhut me taqdeel nai hoga(change)" she turned her head away from Rashid in disgust, "if you think I will buy your lame excuse on how you were left with no choice but to sacrifice my son's happiness for nikhat than let me tell you Mr Rashid khan!" this time dilshad yelled at him with a sharp turn making rashid bewildered at her sharp gesture, "Koi baap apne ek bache ki khushiyo ki khatir dusre bache ko zeher ka pyala nai deta peen eke liye. Nikhat jee leti shayad sari umar humare paas rehker, per ab wo apne he bhai ke gunehgaar banker zaroor marjayegi."dilshad used all loud gestiured to emphasize her point; " ek kasai bhi apni pale hue Bakre ki halal nai krta, per tum to ..." She trailed off in disgust as her eyes narrowed and face twitched in utter disappointment.

"dilshad!!" rashid raised his hand in air to stick it on her face but she quickly reflexed him with a turn holding it before it could meet her cheeks.

"zoya, meri beti hai rashid. Or asad zoya ka nikah ho kar rahega. Main apne bache ko apki jhuti shaan ke khatir tabah hote hue nai dekh sakti . kabhi na" she said throwing his hand away from her grip. Rashid was shocked to see dilshad's this face but he knew, he was the one who invited it first.

"dilshad baat jhuti shaan ki nai hai, kya main apne bte se mohabbat nai krta, kya asad meri jaan nai hai." He asked looking away from dilshad; dilshad narrowed her eyes and tilted her head to see rashid's expression in sarcasm "ap mohabbat krte to ye nai karte, kabhi nahi!" she said as rashid turned to her and his eyes speaks hurt; "dilshad..." his voice shivered more than his feet now.

"rashid kya ho jata agar hum bankrupt hojate to, ap per or asad per humara pura bharosa hai, ap apne beto ke sath milkar dobara ashiyana khada kr deta, itna bada bhale he nai hota, rashid hum do niwale sukhi rotiu me bhi khush rehte, mere bacho ka klahu bahane ki kya zarurat thi." She cried real hard remembering the look of asad and zoya few hours back downstairs.

"Nahi rashid Nahi" she said wiping her tears while her eyes spoke fire, "ap ko is cheez ki mafi nai mil sakti, kabhi nahi." She said spilling venom on rashid ; " or ye jo mansoobe pale hai na apne, use yahi fek dijiye, kyunki ab ye nikah nai hoga kabhi nai" she challenged him again before walking out of their room.

Rashid stood there freeze for minutes before trying to swallow everything that happened in such a little span of time, a few minutes back everything looked so good and then now...

"asad" zoya whispered holding his finger in her small one.

"hmm" asad said holing her more in his grip.

Asad and zoya were now sitting on the swing together, taking a ride together. Asad's hand is circled around zoya's waist while he is playing with her fingers with other. And zoya is sitting next to him with her head leaned on his shoulder and one hand supporting the chain on the swing.

"asad ab sab theek hoga na?" she asked with a small tear resurfacing in her eyes.

Asad brushed her upper hair with thumb while pecking on it lightly; "sab theek hoga." He sighed tucking a hair behind her ear.

Zoya snuggled more closure to him resting her head now in his crook of the neck. Both remained quite now, as if giving some unsaid promises in silence. She closed her eyes in peace feeling relax in his warmth while he shut his eyes and felt her softness beneath his skin.

"Bhaijaan!" nuzhat cried out loud, her eyes were now watering, "bhaijaan wo abu, abu!" she said pointing at the house while asad and zoya both looked at her in confusion.

"ya allah kya?" tanveer screamed in fear as the reciever fell from her hand.

"kya hua beta" abdul quickly walked and stood beside tanveer. she had sweats bud on her forehead and her eyes went wide in shock.

"abu, asad ke abu, unhe dil ka daura pada hai, jaldi chaliye hume hospital jana hai" she said running to pick up her purse, abdul too took his cell and dialed number to inform driver to start the car.

In the hospital, asad zoya dilshad and nazma were all sitting on the bench, nikhat is in farhaan's arm and haseena is in the corner of the room narrating a stranger women ,how sorry she is on the incident? and how much she had struggled to come here?

nikhat looked at her direction but then choose to ignore as she was already disturb with her father's health.

'bhaijaan! ye rahi dawaiya(medicine)" ayaan came near asad and offered him a thin transparent plastic bag which had some packed insuline and saline bottles.

asad nodded and got up , making dilshad fall on zoya's arm and nuzhat shifted a little to console her mother.

asad and ayaan together ran towards the door and after a knock they waited there to someone come out and take in medicines.

"rashid miya theek hai" abdul asked concerned but was welcomed by haseena's blabbering.

"haan, theek he hai, dua chal rahi hai, mujhe itna bura lag raha hai mano..." and her blabbering went on and an on and on. and poor abdul just kept on nodding his head in acceptance.

tanveer looked at haseena in disbelief as if silently asking why this sample is here,and then quickly took her eyes off meeting other members out there.

zoya looked at her and nodded , acknoledging her presence while nuzzat looked confused on seeing her.

dilshad was not in the state to notice her presence. so tanveer shifted her eyes on nikhat who was sniffing in farhaan's arm.

tanveer's eye widened in shock on seeing haider here, then she remebered that he was their relatives. she looked at him in disgust and immediately all the sour memories stored in her mind, flashed before her eyes making them wet.

farhaan on other hand stood there frozen yet again as he was not expecting her here , his eyes roamed around the corner confirming who all have their attention here on him. on confirming no one is bothered, he excused himself on the name of visiting dargah to pray for rashid. nikhat smiled on farhaan as she felt real proud of him that he is so much concerned for her father, she nodded her head in yes and farhaan left the space quickly locking his eyes on tanveer.

"mera farhaan ka nikah bhi baki hai, kam se kam rashid sahab imran or nikhat ka nikah dekh ke jate" haseena cried out as if rashid is already dead.

"ammi, aise mat kahiye. abu ko kuch nai hoga" nikhat raised her voice and then quickly ate her anger with a good explanation.

"nikah nikhat or haider ka. " tanveer repeated herself shock.

"tum yaha kyu ai ho." farhaan asked her holding tanveer from her forearm.

"tumne jhut bola?" she reacted as if she did not hear him saying anything, she was too shock to know that the man who took all her happiness , she did not had his real name all this time.

"haan bola! to" he said unaffected.

"main tumhe paglo ki tarah dhundti rahi or tum mujhse jhut bol rahe the." she asked shock.

"maine pehle he kaha tanveer humara rishta khatam ho chuka hai, to kya fark padta hai ke main haider hu ya farhaan"he said with a smirk.

"main tumhara sach sabko bata dungi farhaan, tumne mujhe to khrab kar diya , main asad ki behen ko nai sehne dungi ye dard" she said as she tried to take a step in hospital's direction.

"are rukh...kaha chali" farhaan stopped her in insulting accent.

"kya batayegi , or kise? tere batane se na main tujhse nikah karunga na ye nikah tutega. kyunki nikhat mujhse bahot pyar krti hai, or wo tujhpe yakeen kabhi nahi karegi" he said with a laugh ; "or agar kar bhi liya to kya , wo is sadme se ek or bar khud khushi kr legi. isme na tumhe kuch milega na mujhe." he said overconfidently.

"chalne de jo chal raha hai, tu apni soch. suna hai asad se nikah kar rahi hai tu. kamaal hai haan tera, bohot badi asaami hath laga hai tere. hmm...waise maal tu bhi buri nai hai, rato ko roshan sahi maine me karna janti hai jo" he said licking his lips while tanveer moved her head in disgust.

"are bura laga, chal ek deal karte hai"tanveer looked at farhaan in shock.

"tere is bache ko acha naam mil raha hai tyu uski soch . is bache or apni soch. mere fikar karne wale bohot hai, tu apne us baap ki soch." he indirectly threatened her and she gulped accepting his point.

"meri maan, asad se nikah karle, isse do fayde honge... tu bhi khush, or mere bare me to tu socheghi he. har raaz ki ek kimmat hoti hai mohtarma" he smirked rubbing his hands together.

"soch ke dekh. sahi bol raha hu" he said for the final time , before he left her alone.

tanveer stood there in silence replaying every minute of him with her in back of her mind and again her innocent mind compared farhaan with asad. she smield whenever asad's moments with her flashed before her eyes and frown whenever she remebered of farhaan.

after waiting for a long silence she walked back to hospital, with a smirk on face.

"kisse mohabat ke ab purane ho rahe hai,

khudgarz ab sare zamane ho rahe hai,

ek masoom se dil ki khata hai kya,

jo in sab me hum bhi shameel ho rahe hai"

she heard evil part of her mind reciting this shayari with a smile.
