Part 29

After talking to Mr Roy, Khushi came to the seating area, but found no Abhay and Anjali. She looked for them, and found Anjali talking to someone she couldn't see.

When she finally reached them she called Abhay and the trio turned to look at her. It was then Khushi noticed Arnav who was looking at her with expressions that reminded her of the night they danced, he was mesmerized!

"Look,now Khushi too is here" said Anjali.

"I've been searching you guys for so long. You said you were in seating area" She said, walking towards Abhay and Anjali, clearly ignoring Arnav, as though he didn't exist.

"You look beautiful" He said, loud enough that Khushi couldn't ignore. He was not willing to buy her ignorance. Especially today.

She stopped in her tracks, and looked in his direction. There, his smirk.

"Thank you for the compliment" she said in a very affluent manner as Anjali was watching them.

And with these words, she drifted her attention back to Abhay and Anjali.

"So hadn't you told me you'll be in the seating-area? And I see this is a lounge" Khushi directed her words to Abhay.

"It's not Abhay's mistake, Khushi. Actually I asked Abhay to come here and meet Bhai. He was not coming, I forced him. Sorry."

"Oh no no! You need not to apologize, Anjali. I was kidding. I was just being angry with him" She pointed towards Abhay.

"No need to be, Khushi. Abhay cares too much for you. In fact, he was not coming with me, I literally had to plead him" All three present there, noticed that hinge of heart-break in Anjali's voice.

"Oh my! Abhay, you are so rude. Why didn't you go with Anjali? Stop treating me like a KID" She said with gritting teeth, hoping Abhay would understand, it was high time, he stop acting cold to Anjali.

"You shall stop scolding him, Khushi" Said Anjali, laughing.

"Okay, only because you said so" Khushi replied, humorously.

"I think if you both ladies are done with complaining and scolding, we shall go and sit" Abhay said.

"Sure" Said Khushi.

"Wait" Arnav interrupted and all three stopped.

"Khushi needs to stay right here! You two can leave." Arnav said in an authoritative tone.

"Why?" demanded Abhay, forgetting there was Anjali present.

"What why? I thought you had so much common sense, Abhay" Arnav shot back.

While Anjali was looking at his brother and Abhay with a perplexed look and Khushi had to do something to change the track.

"See, Abhay, now you made Arnav upset, by being rude to his sister! You are such an idio.. Now let me see what he wants." She refrained from saying him an idiot infront of Arnav, causing him to feel degraded.

Abhay shot Khushi a nasty look, took Anjali's hand which wiped all sort of confusion from her face and walked towards the seating arrangement.

"Well, I finally got some time with you" Said Arnav, as Khushi looked them walking away.

"Bhai is so sensitive when it comes to me" Said Anjali, sitting next to Abhay.

"All brothers are. I am very much sensitive when it comes to Khushi" For no reason, Anjali heart felt immensely lighter, hearing the words from Abhay's mouth.

"I guess, that's what makes them a girl's armour" Anjali said.

"So, is this designed by Arnav himself?" Said Abhay, pointing to her dress, as Anjali had texted him about the dress the minute she had recieved it.

"Yeah! I personally asked him to design me one and he did"

"Khushi too is wearing her own design" Abhay didn't praise Arnav's design.

"Seriously? WOW! That dress is great! No wonder Bhai praised her, he praises very few people"

"Yes she looks good" Abhay added. But deep down, Anjali desired to hear the same compliment for her.

"You've changed a lot since we met" She finally let out.

"Accha? How?" Abhay knew that very well.

"You are not the same Abhay! You were so fun frolic, so cheerful, lively and you've changed" She didn't add how he used to praise her 24/7.

"No.. It's nothing like that."

"Yes it is" She retorted.

Abhay could feel Anjali's temper rising. He knew, he had crossed all the limits, but he had to.

"You should always keep long hair Anjie, they suit you" He said, wishing to cheer her up.

"I know that. Thank you anyways"

"Great! Now she isn't talking to me! Wait and let Khushi know this and she will eat me alive" He groaned.

"Did you want to say something?" She asked.

"Many things" He replied, making her heart restless.

"Well, now's not the time I guess" She said.

"Why not?"

"Because, this is your fashion show. You should be watching if everything is okay an"

"That's not my job. I've not hired the event manager for nothing."

'Okay! There was no way out!' She noted.

"So what for you stopped me here Arnav?" His name, from her lips, already created a havoc on his senses, and he controlled his urge to do something more than saying.

"I am glad you wore this dress" He started carefully.

"Why wouldn't I? I designed it and it was my favourite dress"

"Mine too" He prompted back.

Khushi who was by now looking every where except him, now looked straight into his eyes.

So she had been correct, he didn't send her the dress because he wanted it out of the show. He sent it because he wanted to see her in it as it was his favourite.

"Anyhow, I stopped you to inform you that both of us will be walking together on the ramp"

"You are kidding me. Right?"

"No, I am not. I'll go as the CEO and you'll follow me, as the designer of the launch"

"Bu"

"I didn't ask you, Khushi. I told you. Now you may go and tell Abhay and come back-stage." And with these words, he walked away!

"ARNAV!" She bellowed with all the mights and he stopped.

"Good" She thought.

Arnav turned towards her and found her coming towards him.

"What?"

"You can not order me like this"

"I wasn't ordering you. I was just telling"

"Acha? Seemed more like an order to me" She said, folding her hands.

Her anger was making him crazy. She was beautiful every way. How could he be such an idiot to let her go?

"See Khushi! You are the designer of this launch. People need to know you. You should come on the ramp"

"Okay but why with you?"

"Because.." Arnav began.

"I suggested that" Mr Roy completed his sentence.

"Sir?"

"Yes Khushi! It would look great if the renowned designer and the new comer walk together"

Mr Roy went on with his words, but neither Khushi nor Arnav were paying attention.

She was going on ramp with him! With Arnav! Wasn't this the thing she always dreamt?

She could hear those college days in her ears.

"One day, I'll be wearing your design, Arnav" Said Khushi, placing her hand on his.

"I'll design one for you" He said, holding it tight.

"Really?"

"Yup"

"Then when you will be a big fashion designer, we'll walk together on the ramp"

"Sure dear."

"Oh God! Arnav I just don't know how to wait till that moment" She squealed and Arnav laughed. She was an idiot then.

When she finally arrived in the reality, Mr Roy had left and there was only Arnav.

"I.. wi..will go with yo" She was overwhelmed.

"Your dream is coming true, Khushi" He wiped the tears which rolled down her cheeks and left.

I know you guys were expecting the main fashion show in this update, but I delayed it again.
