"Why does a sorry matter so much to you?" Arnav stood in front of her.

"Why does a sorry matter so much to me?" She laughed a wicked laugh.

"When someone spends a night with your sister and then runaway and asks her the same question, that day you'll find your answer" She said.

"YOU DARE KHUSHI" Arnav bellowed in extreme anger.

"YES I DARE, ARNAV!" Khushi bellowed back in his face.

"And thanks for ruining my last day as well" She said and left.

Arnav stood there, fuming, angry! And also regretting.

Khushi stood next to the window of her cabin. Where was her life leading to? However, there was a little smile on her face despite the moments she just went through. Memories came swarming to her mind.

The next day she entered in her college campus with shaking steps. She'll face him.

She went to her class and they all chatted, except Khushi who was lost.

"There comes the hunk" Said Naina and Khushi glanced towards the door.

There stood Arnav Singh Raizada, elegantly dressed with no hinge of regret or guilt on his face. He entered laughing, cheering and highfiving with his friends and the moment his eyes fell on khushi, he smiled and walked past her.

Khushi was astonished.

"After all he did, he's happy? He smiled at me like nothing had happened. But, may be he realized his mistake and.. I hope its that way" Said Khushi, as she silently prayed and walked towards him.

"I need to talk to you" She said

"I'll be back" Arnav excused to his group and followed Khushi.

"What an amazing night!" he smiled at her.

"You flying to California?"

"Yes. That's the plan."

"How can you, Arnav? After all that happened between us, how can you leave me and go? You said you love me.."

"Whoa, Khushi! When did I ever say that?"

"But all those things..."

"Listen, Khushi, I don't believe in the crap of love. I was attracted to you or let's make it simple, your love my lust! I thought I had explained it all in that letter."

Khushi couldn't believe her ears. He lusted her. She lost her virginity to a man who just LUSTED her...!

"But"

"Listen, Khushi. I never said I love you, it was only you who claimed it. I guess both of us got what we wanted and now it's time to part our ways. There's no way I'll be back with you because I've a whole future to establish."

"And what about me and my future?" She murmured.

"You know it better. Bye" He said and walked towards his group.

She was torn that day. This man had used her like a commodity and later discarded her without giving a second thought. It was not wrong to say that he didn't have a heart. And today it was just the other way round. This time he was asking her to stay. Not because he was sorry for what he had done. But only because he needs her for his own selfish lust or love.Whatever it may be. But this time it will be Khushi who would leave him. He should know how it feels when someone you need leaves you and that too by insulting your feelings.

Lost in those thoughts, she never knew when Arnav had come and stood next to her. She was a little astonished and before she could open her mouth, Arnav spoke,

"The second outfit is ready. You can inspect it after the lunch break."

"Why after the lunch break? I'll do it now" she wanted to finish her work as soon as possible.

"And I need to go early today. Can I? There isn't much work in the office." She asked.

"Any special reasons?"

"No. Not special" She said.

"Okay" he said and she left the room immediately.

He could sense that she didn't want to spend an extra second with him. He wanted to break everything that came between him and Khushi. But here it was his own sins which were blocking him from her. Why did he have to treat her the way he did. He knew, what we sow, that's what we reap. But he never knew, he'll reap by being rejected by the girl he rejected.

He had never known Khushi to be this heartless. She knew he wanted her to be before his eyes but she was denying him the same. Has Khushi become so hard because of the scars he had given her? Or there is more to it?

Can it be possible that Abhay is contaminating her thoughts? May be he had taught her to be revengeful. Whatever it was, Arnav wasn't going to give up his attempts of winning her heart, healing her heart.

Khushi had done her work and her office time was nearly over. She was glad she had worked for AR. That was a massive plus point for her career. She could get a great job anywhere now that she worked for AR. Then it struck. AR was offering her a job. Khushi Gupta was offered a job by Arnav Singh Raizada. But she was not working for him. Not even when she really wanted to do it.

"Let this man suffer" She told her heart and with a deep breathe went to Arnav's cabin.

"Congratulations, Khushi for completing your one month contract at AR Fashion House. I hope this effort will be beneficial in your career and you will be very successful" Khushi could bet Arnav was saying all this just as a formality because his chief employees were present there. This was a formal bid adieu for her.

"Thank you, Mr. Raizada" She said with a voice full with gratitude. No matter what, this place gave her a new career.

"Remember that AR is always there to welcome you back" Arnav last words snatched the smile from her face but she still maintained that glad look.

Khushi was unlocking her car, when she felt someone standing behind him.

"Bye" He said before Khushi could turn to look at him. She was surprised to see him there. He had personally come to her just to wave her off?

"Good Bye" She said and sat inside the car.

"Good Luck" He said.

"Thank You"

Khushi had started the engine.

"I'll miss you, Khushi" He said. FINALLY!

Khushi eyes got big and she looked at him.

"I won't" She said and there she drove her car away.

"I know" he sighed.

Looking at the car moving away did something to his heart. He felt as if his heart was about to break. He wanted to scream, to run, to stop her, to hold her, kiss her hard and keep her with him always, but you don't always get what you want especially when you let it go yourself.

He was still there when his cell rang.

"Bhai!! I AM COMING TODAY" Anjali screamed happily in the phone.

"Good"

"Just Good? Get me something"

"Okay, Barbie."

He needed some diversion and some shopping would be good enough.

It was evening and Khushi decided to go shopping for Abhay. He was returning back and a gift would be good to welcome the lover boy.

She got ready and drove to the mall. She went to the shop from where she always bought shirts for him and chose a black shirt. However what came next was something she had never dreamt in her wildest of dreams.

"Nice Choice"

This voice echoed in her ears. She froze to the ground. Her first meeting with Arnav flashed in front of her eyes.

"Not again" She muttered before she turned to face the owner of the husky voice and stared into those chocolate brown eyes.

She looked at his hands and saw two bags of some branded stuff. So he too was shopping. What an unwelcomed co-incidence.

"So this was why you wanted an early day off from the office?"he asked.

"I guess I am not obliged to answer. And am already late."She said and prepared to leave.

"Wait a minute, Khushi. I want to talk to you. Can we have coffee together?" He asked.

He was asking her to join for a coffee? Did he really think she was going to say 'yes'?

"NO. I can't come. I am late. I have to leave"

"Please, Khushi" He insisted.

Were her ears out of order? Did he just use 'please'?

"Okay" she gave in. Arnav had used a 'please'. That too with her. That was obviously an occasion to celebrate.

"There is a cafe at the top floor of this mall. We can go there" Arnav suggested and she nodded in approval.
