The sun rays were peeping in her room through the windows and falling directly on her face making her flinch her eyes. Yesterday night, She and Abhay had come so late that it seemed to her, she had just slept.

"Day 2" She read as her cell beeped.

"Darn, office again" She groaned.

Forcing her laziness to jump through the window, Khushi got up the bed to get ready.

Arnav glanced at the time. It was finally the time to get ready. He didn't sleep an inch last night and he was hating it. He closed his eyes, she flashed in front of them, he opened them, his ears echoed of her attitude. For the first time, Arnav actually wanted Khushi's contract to get over soon. She was interfering with his system.

"So, you fresh" Abhay asked, leaning across the dressing table as Khushi combed her hair.

"Get out of here, I slept so late, I feel like dozing off again" She said, yawning.

"Lazy bee! I'll see how this laziness vanishes into nowhere, when you see HIM"

"Shut up. I m already so pissed. Another day under him"

"Don't worry, as long as you kill him on his face, things are going to be fine. Cry a lot or you won't be able to pass your day" Abhay teased her.

"You" She said as she grabbed something to hit him but by then Abhay had run for his dear life, making her laugh.

Arnav had reached his office and was standing next to the same window, where he stood last night.

It was 8:00 and Khushi would be reaching any minute.. For some unexplained reason, he wanted to see her face as soon as possible. Last night was a torture for him.

He had vivid dreams of that guy hovering around Khushi and doing things to her which he certainly didn't like. For now, he just wanted to see her and assure himself that she was okay.

And he'll have to enquire about that guy too. Was Khushi having an affair with him? No. That can't be. He knew her well. She wasn't that type of girl. Not during the college time. But who knows? Maybe she'd have changed. Maybe she was in a relationship with that man? No.

You are over thinking ASR. It's nothing so. He said to himself.

"If you get too depressed cuz he said something, simply dial me, I'll pick you up early" Abhay said while driving.

"Don't you have work to do?" asked Khushi.

"I own a full chain of printing press you idiot. I have people who can handle my work if I am not there for a day or two. Plus I don't do much. Just keep ordering stuffs." He laughed.

"Yeah, Mr I m so rich" she made a face.

"You could be too, if you join me"

"No, this is what I dreamt. Working as a fashion designer"

Their drive finally ended and both of them got out of the car.

"If he does something, just let me know, I'll kick his ass off"

"Yes, Mr. Bodyguard" Khushi said as she kissed him lightly on the cheek and went towards the office. She turned back to wave him and found him waving back. She smiled and entered the building and Abhay drove away.

"Good Morning" greeted the guards. She had made friends with every staff person around her. Everyone except Arnav.

"Good Morning" Khushi replied and went to her cabin.

She opened her drawers and everything was there intact and she sighed.

"He isn't that immature to burn my things. What the hell was I thinking yesterday" Khushi thought as she switched off the CCTV.

She prayed to her DM and drowned in her designing pad, to design more

Arnav was boiling in anger, seeing Khushi kiss Abhay and than wave at him. He closed his fist so hard that it turned white. Unable to control himself, he threw the lamp on the small table next to the window and marched towards her room.

Khushi was peacefully designing when her door opened with a bang. She at once looked up and saw him, fire blazing in his eyes.

Saying she was scared, was a huge understatement, cuz she had never seen any man as angry as Arnav was right now.

"You need something, Sir" She said, trying not to stammer.

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" He barked madly.

"W..what did I do, Sir?"

And he was blank.

"What the hell was I thinking?" He thought. What was he supposed to answer now?

He now carefully looked at her and she actually took her breath away. Dressed in a Red plain shirt with black jeans and hair done in a high ponytail, forced him to look at her, and keep on looking.

"Sir?" Khushi asked, as she observed him staring at her.

Arnav at once looked here and there and thought of something to say, before he made a complete fool of himself and then that person struck him.

"What do you want to show by romancing with your boyfriend in the middle of the parking area?" He asked, controlling his urge to grab her by the elbow and kiss her wildly as punishment.

"What do you mean?" Khushi replied sternly.

"Oh and now Ms. Gupta would try to act all innocent. I saw you yesterday, hugging him and than today kissing him as well" Arnav said.

"So, why are you so concerned?" She said, folding her arms across her chest.

"I am so concerned, because this is my OFFICE not a "Kissing Booth", where you hug and kiss and smooch your boyfriend"

"SHUT THE HELL UP" Khushi roared as she proceeded towards him.

Arnav didn't show, but he was actually taken aback by the wildness she displayed.

"Watch your tone, Ms. Gupta" Arnav said, pointing his finger towards her.

"No, you watch your tone, Arnav" Khushi said, pointing the same.

"Sir" He said, this time actually angry.

"I don't care. What I care about is that you are taking out a whole lame meaning of my relationship with Abhay. I don't need to explain you who he is to me cuz I know what sort of cheap mentality you have there" Khushi said pointing towards his head.

"He's a best friend, dearer to me like my brother and If you've a problem with the way I greet him, then fine, you won't see any of it from today."

"Abhay. Like her brother" Arnav mentally noted.

"Fine" He said and walked out of the room. At least he managed to steal this much of the information.

"What a cheap bas***d" Khushi said, shaking with anger.

Appalled by his thoughts and too frustrated and disgusted to see his face, Khushi remained in her office during the lunch break. She ordered herself a pizza and waited for it in her office.

Arnav was sitting in the canteen busy having coffee and seeing some files on his table. He was half expecting to see Khushi there when he heard the peon talking to another one.

"Take this to room O-9A"

"Ms. Gupta's room?" said the other one.

"yes"

"Ok"

Arnav was watching them closely and was hearing them as well.

"So she doesn't want to eat in the canteen. So why the hell was I eager to come down to have my lunch?" He thought and marched back to his office.

Arnav shook hands with Mr. Roy, who had come to visit AR to finalize some terms and conditions.

"So, Mr Raizada, are you satisfied with our designer?" asked Mr. Roy.

"Yes. She's very talented"

"I am glad you like her work"

Arnav was still talking to Mr. Roy and his other delegates when all of a sudden, Khushi appeared out of nowhere in front of his glass door.

And forgetting everything around him, he found himself staring at the her.

She saw he was busy in a meeting, jerked a little, smoothed her long pony tail and turned back to her own office. And she had once again occupied his mind with that little gesture. That was HOT, he thought.

"So Mr. Raizada, what do you think about this? I think the former idea is more impressive. Isn't it? Mr. Roy asked him.

"Ermm.. Yeah you are right Mr. Roy. Go on with the former agenda" he replied, still looking in the direction she had just went.

"I am glad he was busy in a meeting or I would've killed him today! I always knew he had that disgusting shit stuffed in his cranium" Khushi said to herself as she entered her cabin and had a glass of water.


"I don't know what he thinks of himself, but one thing's for sure, Arnav Singh Raizada, you'll pay for everything you've said and done to me. I would've never taken this seriously but today, you crossed the limits. Accusing me of cheap things with my bestie...I'll show you who I am" she continued to herself.

"Mr Raizada, are you sure you are okay?" Mr Roy asked, as Arnav was constantly stammering.

"Yes...No...I...Mr Roy can we resume this meeting some other day?"

"Sure, there's nothing to worry about. We'll come back day after tomorrow that is Thursday"

"Okay, that will suit me. You may leave the file"

Once they were out of sight, Arnav went and splashed loads of water on his face.

"You've ruined my meeting Khushi, but no more of you. Concentrate man..!" He thought and resumed reading the file.

"DAMMIT" Arnav said, as he threw the file on the floor, it was half an hour since he began reading and he wasn't concentrating on anything but Khushi.

"WHAT IS UP WITH ME?" He shouted, running his finger through his hair and clutching them very hard. He was going crazy.

He marched in his room, fast, faster and then so quickly that it seemed as if he was tipped over the edge.

"I don't care. What I care about is that you are taking out a whole lame meaning of my relationship with Abhay. I've no need to tell you who he is to me cuz I know what sort of cheap mentality you have there"

"He's best friend, dearer to me like my brother and IF you've a problem with the way I greet him, than fine, you won't see any of it from today."

"Like what? Spending other night with me and running away like you did before?"

"I love you even more when you blush"

"Your love my lust"

"Why? is it driving you insane?"

Khushi in college, Khushi in the shopping center, Khushi in the party, Khushi in his office, Khushi hugging Abhay, Khushi kissing him, Khushi going wild listening his accusation of "doing romance", Khushi' Khushi' Khushi"

"She has started to affect in ways no one ever has. I think, I...have...started liking her.." he declared, much to his displeasure.
