"Soniyooo, how about a Boy's Vs. Girls Dance off? to celebrate the night?", Viren Jiju asked Jeevikha Di, as Me and her where chatting to a few of the guests.

My eyes and mouth widened into a O shape due to shock at the offer, i was going to tell Di to reject it but before i could do anything she said yes to Jiju and headed to the middle of the hall with Ash behind her dragging me along as well.

"Dii, what are you thinking!?", I asked her, as we stood in the middle, waiting for an idea to come to us.

"What Mannu i couldn't say no and disgrace all us girls in the eyes of those men.", Di replied, reluctantly agreeing i turned to her with a look that said "Well now what do we do?". "We dance?!", she replied as she moved forward to whisper something in the DJ's ear. 

Next i knew i was being dragged to the floor beside Di as she began moving her hips and hands to the beat. Having no choice i joined her along with the other girls.

As our song paused, the boys where already ready with a counter attack song.

Dekh tera ye roop soniye - (virat sang as he pointed towards me with a wink)

Main jede jede tenu takyaa (Jiju and Virat both stepped towards me nd Di respectively, and hit our shoulders with theirs)

Gore mukhde pe zulfan di chaavan (They move their hands about in bhangra style and point to us while kicking their feet.)

Gore mukhde pe zulfan di chaavan ( again They move their hands about in bhangra style and point to us while kicking their feet.)

Haaye main mar javaan soniye ( they kick their feet as they place their hands on their hearts moving around Me nd Di)

sajan tumse pyar kee larayee me - (Di, I and the other gals pointed out towards the guys and pulled our hands hand back in to our shoulders)

tut gai chudiya kalayee me, kalayee me (We clanged our choodiyan together and ran backwards

tenu nachne de eh shounk shounk da mul nahi (Virat Joined Viren Bhaiya as they walked upto the ladies with their Arms moving about in Bhangra style)

je nachna mitra naal ta boli pauni peniyeh (Together the guys and girls went about in a circle while doing bhangra, getting all around them hype and making them join in)
je nachna mitra naal ta boli pauni peniyeh (The Audience became awake with applause as the song ended with everyone just enjoying)

The rest of the night continued with just chit chatting, singing songs with the dholki, and having a good time. For Manvi any thought of being in fear the whole night due to Karan had vanished immediately, because everything she looked up and around herself she found Virat around her, always watching her, protecting her. And his care filled her heart with joy and peace that she just couldn't describe.

Chaudhry Mansion- 12am

  Manvi giggled as Viren Jiju and Jeevika Di continued to tease Arnav Bhaiya and Khushi Bhabhi, with the rest of the Chaudhry and Vadhera families also supporting them. They had all gathered in the hall after the guests had gone back to the hotel, and had made small talk, the current hot topic was teasing the bride and groom out of proportion. She was sitting on the two seat sofa's armrest on which Di and Badi Ma sat, right across from where Chep was standing, near Jiju and Arnav Bhaiya's sofa. The whole hall was ringing in laughter as Inder Chachu made a comment on Arnav to tease him, and Bhaiya was soon red in the face as well as my to be Bhabhi.

"Arre! Abb bas bhi karo, merai betai koh ithna na chairo! bohot hogaiya!" Shruti Ma said to everyone tring to give them everyone a glare even as she held back her own laugh, but the next minute she burst out laughing with all of us, making Bhaiya whine "Choti Maaa", which just made her laugh harder.

I held my stomach as i continued to laugh at the state of my Bhaiya nd Bhabhi, as i straightened myself a minute later, a movement caught my eye, and out of the corner of my eye i saw Virat?? heading upstairs towards the terrace. For some reason something tugged at my heart, making me slip away from the crowd and upstairs as well, towards him, against my own will.

Stepping out onto the terrace, I hugged my dupatta closer to myself due to the chilly wind, as I stepped towards Virat. He stood at the railing leaning on it with his hands crossed out on top of it, one hand held in the other.. looking off into the sky. I didnt want to disturb him, and thus didn't say a word as i continued to step forward towards him, but he probably heard something, for just then he turned around...freezing me in my tracks. I don't know how or why, but in those few seconds in which our eyes locked, before he turned his back to me again, I had read his eyes, surprisingly.

I walked upto him, and stood a little behind yet beside him, his back facing me once again. Even i didn't understand what made me do it, but i stepped up and stood beside him, placed my left hand on top of both his and felt my heartbeat speed up with the contact taking a deep breath to calm my nerves, I gazed up into the sky with him.

"You Know…its okay to miss them, to want them here next to you…you don't have to feel guilty about it..", i said in a low voice, my hand still resting atop of his. I felt his gaze pierce into me, as he looked at me shocked, to see that he didn't even have to say a word for me to understand him, honestly even i was surprised.

"Haaan..lekin, pata nahin kyun, i feel as if I'm being unfair to DadaJi, Chachi, Bua and mostly Ma..", he voiced still looking at me, but now taking a firm hold of my left hand in his right. 

"Unfair..??? ufff, ek tumhi ullu ho, jo waise sochta hain…everyone knows how immensely you love them and how much you care for them…there is nothing to be unfair or guilty about wanting ones own parents with them..Maa-Baap ka rishta hota hi aise hain..", I said looking at him now, we where now turned towards each other, my left hand still clasped in his protective grip.

"I..I don't know.." he said with a sigh.

"Trust Me…its okay, don't feel guilty about it or anything…", i tried to console him and make him understand, as i squeezed his hand in assurance. 

Nodding, h pulled my hand closer, and held it between both of his hands as we both continued to gaze up at the stary night for a minute.

(Kadhambhari's POV)

 Kadhambhari, watched as Shruti pushed open the terrace doors, they had come to get Virat and Manvi before everyone headed off to sleep for the night. As they stepped out onto the terrace, they over heard the small convo their kids where having. Kadhambhari's heart filled with warmth as Manvi gently explained to her son, that he was doing no wrong, and she saw how just her hold could relax him. She looked over as Shruti who also had a similar expression on her face. Knowing what she had to do, Kadhambhari signaled Shruti to head downstairs with her silently. 

"Heyy, didn't Virat and Manvi come?", Inder asked Kadhambhari.

"They are just heading down..umm Papa, Chotai Papa (referring to Virats Dadu and Manvi's Dadu), i wanted to put something before the two of you..", Kadhambhari said to them, getting everyone attention.

"Haan Beta, Speak up, don't hesitate", Papa urged her to continue.

"Actually, it must be pretty obvious to all, that i have silently been looking about for a decent girl for our Virat.." she said and everyone nodded, as she stated the obvious, since he was of age to get married now.

"I have found her..it has been on my mind for weeks now, but i stayed quiet as i didn't want to rush into anything, but i know for sure that she is perfect for him, without a doubt", she continued, making all curious to know whom she had chosen for her ladla Virat.

"Its…its.."

(Back to terrace!)

"Lets head down now shall we?", Virat asked Manvi with a sigh.

"Hmm, you head down, ill join you in just a minute..", she said, and nodded at her, he headed down.

He had been walking down the fenced corridor up top, to head to the stairs nd down when he heard his Choti Ma speaking, about finding a girl, for him! His heart dropped with the thought, and he stood frozen to hear her verdict.

"Its..its, Manvi..", he heard Choti Maa's voice carry up.

His heart stopped breathing for a few minutes at that time. Wait, was this what he too wanted? Was this the reason for his restlessness, peace, and all these days? Relaxing his heart and mind of all, he closed his eyes, and sure enough, Manvi filled his sight, mind, and heart, her warmth filled smile made his heart leap. As he heard the rest of the families give their salute to the proposal, he blushed and ran his hand through his hair. Behind him he heard her payal and knew she was coming his way, as a wicked thought came to his mind he started head back, towards her.

Before she could make him out since the corridor was slightly dark, he grabbed a hold of her waist with his left hand, and sealed her lips with his right hand so she wouldn't scream, and pinned her between the wall and himself. Looking down at her with a grin, through the dim light, his eyes locked with hers, which where wide open with shock, as she recognized him, her racing heart started to calm down, he gently removed his right hand from her mouth only to hold her waist with both hands now, and molding her body closer to his own. 

"Virat! What is this!", she asked him, sternly with anger.

"Do you have any clue, what the topic downstairs is about right now?", he asked her, gently pushing her hair behind her ear with his right hand.

Shivering, she shook her head negatively, and looked away nervously.

He bent towards her right ear, and gently whispered into it..

"Choti Ma has proclaimed to have found a girl for me and all have agreed..do you know who she is?", he asked her again..again she replied negatively but he could swear he saw her smile falter a little..

"You", he whispered into her ear.

As what he said registered into her mind, her heartbeat once again began to flutter, and she looked up into his eyes, seeing that he was telling the truth, her face turned a crimson shade and she shyly pushed him away, as she ran downstairs to escape him. As she jumped off the last few steps, she went to go stand beside Di and Jiju, as everyone turned their attention to her, with smiles and grins on all their faces, she blushed knowing the reason behind their happiness. Just then Virat also stepped off the last step and went to go stand by his Dadu.

She watched as Kadhambhari (K) Ma, walked upto her, on reaching her she gently patted her cheek.

"Manvi, i have something to ask you..may I?", K. Ma asked her.

"J-Ji Ma..", she answered, knowing what it was.

"After lots of thought, I have chosen you, for the perfect other half of my Virat. I know as long as you are with him, he will be happy, and also have someones support no matter what. I also know that you understand him as no one else can, and vice versa. I have faith in him to also take care of you in return, will you accept Virat?", she asked her calmly.

Manvi didn't need to think, of her answer, she knew her parents and Dadu would only choose the best for her and they had already given their consent, and she also knew in her heart that Virat was the one, for her. Looking down shyly, shy quickly nodded her acceptance and K Ma took her in her embrace.

Virat stood beside his Dadu, blushing, just then he heard Choti Ma say his name as she turned to face him, with her eyes asking for his answer. He nodded and smiled at her, and held out her other arm for him to come and hug her, Manvi still wrapped in the other arm. As she pulled away from them, they both bent down together to get her ashirwad, and then did the same with Piny Ma, and Madan Papa, Inder Chachu, both their Dadu's Swamani Bua, and hugged their siblings who kept teasing them.

"So then, since the tomorrow is Arnav-Khushi's mehndi ceremony, why don't we hold Virat and Manvi's engagement right before then? We can call the pandit to see the best dates for the wedding and go from there?", Virats Dadu, stated Looking at Virat and Manvi who stood beside each other.

The elders all gave their approval and Manvi couldn't stop her cheeks from turning red again. Just then, she felt his hand grasp hers from behind their backs away from all's eyes, and take a hold of it, making her gasp. She tried to twist her hand out of his hold, but his hold was obviously too strong for her.

"Whats this? Your shy now? What was that on the terrace earlier then hmm?", he whispered into her ear, teasing her.

"That, that was different!", she answered him, still trying to get out of his hold.

"Whats different? Actually you know, now I've got the official rights to hold this hand, so what makes you think ill let go?", he asked her, making her blush deeper.

Before she could answer, K Ma called him, so they all could go sleep the tiring day away nd get ready for another busy day tomorrow, and he quickly let go of her hand, hearing his name. Making her chuckle, while he threw daggers at her with his eyes, he joined the rest of the Vadheras as they all headed to the guest house for the night. 

"No problem, ill see her tomorrow" he thought to himself as he headed to sleep that night full of happiness and peace.
