Teenage Love

 

Chapter 9

 

It's been two hours passed since she talked to Khushi, Now,Payal was getting panicked,somewhere she knew there was something bad going to happen  as after her last conversation with Khushi she had again called her on her cell phone but her cell phone was switched off and when she called at her home, her mother told her that she said she was going to your house. But she didn't come, yet. Payal  bit her lip and sucked in panic.

Why Khushi didn't come. It's almost two hours passed since I talked to Aunty. Payal thought restlessly, Khushi's sudden disappearance made her panicked, firstly, she thought to call again to her house but then she dropped the idea as she did not want to create any trouble for Khushi.

 "Khushi why did you switch off your cell?"

Payal said getting desperate,holding her head in her hands and let out the sigh of frustration .Khushi had never done like that before. When I talked to her last time it seemed she was trying to hide something from me, this thought struck in her mind and she jerked up her face, dropping her hands aside, her breath caught in her throat to think, what if she broke that promise and went to meet Arnav alone.Payal knew Khushi was so innocent and deeply in love with Arnav and  could do anything to make him happy .

"Why Khushi?"She barely whispered under her breath, her heart swelled with hurt, tears rolled down on her cheeks and she sucked in a breath of pain. Why did you break promise? You have hurt me Khushi. She couldn't control the hurt that rushed through her veins to think she couldn't keep her promise. She must be with Arnav. Is she safe?, another question roused which struck in her mind,made her  breath caught in her throat and she gasped several times to compose herself, Then,she banished the tears from her cheeks and  wiped off the sweat with her palm, with the shivering hands she grabbed her mobile and Payal dialed Sammy's number because he was the only person who must know everything but their plan as he was Arnav's best friend. With an impatient sigh, she waited for him to pick up the call "please Sammy ,pick up!"She murmured impatiently, her eyes often rising to glance at the clock, hanging on the wall, and at last, after three bells he picked up her call.

"Sammy, where is Khushi?"she asked anxiously, without giving him breath to speak and Sammy gasped loudly, to feel the panic in her voice.

 "Payal,what's the matter?"he replied  concernedly.

 " Sammy, I'll tell you later but  firstly, tell me Is Khushi with Arnav?"

She swallowed before spilling out words, a drop of sweat trailed down on her cheek and she wiped off it with the back of her palm, gasping the air to wait.

 "Ermm! Actually Payal"he fumbled with words, a little hesitation settled across his features as he remembered his promise to Arnav,not to tell anyone about their date.

 "Payal,didn't Khushi tell you anything about their date?"

He asked and she got shocked to hear that.

 "Date!!!"A gasp of shock slipped her lips and she could barely breathe for a moment to think Khushi had hid it from her.she felt a pang of hurt rushed through her veins and then her swallowing it she tried  to compose herself to think, her first thought should be Khushi's safety at that moment. "Sammy, where they had to go for date?"

She asked in shaking voice, swallowing back the hurt that crawled around her heart like a snake.

"Actually"

 Sammy hesitated and she interrupted him with her plea.

  "Please Sammy"

"They are in Arnav's farm house"

 He leaked out and Payal felt earth spinning around her to think what if they did something that they shouldn't.

 "Please tell me, where is it located?"

She asked, gasping for breath to calm her nerves. Sammy had told her address but he had taken a promise in return she'll not tell Arnav that he told her about their date and she got to agree on his condition.

 

            Payal took the car keys of her mother's car and rushed towards the outdoor, "start the car "she get in the car immediately and said to the driver. She told him the address of Farmhouse during the drive.

"Please GOD save my Khushi"she prayed under her breath, closing her eyes and some unshed tears flushed in her eyes,she sucked in and rubbed her eyes before they spill out.

 "How much time it would take to reach there?" she asked impatiently.

 "Madam, it's twenty minutes drive"

He replied, giving her side glance and Payal breathed sharply before throwing her head on the back of the seat.

"Please Khushi don't do anything wrong" she prayed silently while concentrating on the road when her eyes fell on Khushi and her breath caught in her throat, she was walking on the road alone, wrapping a shawl around her possessively.

 "Stop the car" she yelled out of breath, and with the impatient jerk opened the door and rushed out towards her.

 "Khushi"

She called her name and Khushi looked up, rousing from her own world, her eyes lit up with tears to see Payal,standing in front of her,she blinked back the tears,the words seemed to stick on the wall of her throat and she barely spoke her name.

 "Payal"Tears rolled down on her cheeks and Payal felt a twinge of apprehension to see Khushi in that condition, fear rushed through her veins to think why she was alone? Where was Arnav? But before she could speak or ask anything, Khushi hugged her tightly, crying hysterically on her shoulder.

 "I am sorry,Payal, I've hurt you. You were right, Arnav, does not love me" Her voice sounded so broken that Payal felt her own heart broke with Khushi's tears.

  "Khushi,tell me what happened??Please tell me"

Gasping for air, she asked worriedly,raising her head she wiped off tears from her cheeks,Khushi removed her shawl from her chest and showed her unbuttoned , torn shirt and the marks on her skin was enough for Payal to understand everything. She felt her heart tore into pieces and hugged broken Khushi tightly; her own eyes shimmered with tears to see her that much hurt. She feared it from the beginning and now, it turned out the truth.She knew it wouldn't be easy for her to come out of that incident ever as Khushi loved Arnav truly, madly, deeply. 

 

 

 "Love sometimes gives you immense pain that you could not get out of it ever"

 

After that incident Khushi's life had totally changed, she was no more like that Khushi whom everyone knew before. After that day, she couldn't get courage to step into her school and decided to leave it .Though, her parents tried their best to convince her to continue her studies there as there was just one week left for her final term but she didn't get agreed, she had decided to leave this country and go to London to her Aunt and uncle's house.

After a lot arguments and discussions, at last Khushi's parents had accepted their defeat and gave her permission to go abroad in her aunt's house and would complete her further studies there.

   On the other hand, that incident had effected Arnav,too. He had accepted his mistake but it got too late to make amendments as he had lost her trust, her love and it was out of the question to get her back, he tried many times to get access to her, tried to meet her but Khushi had refused every time.she had declared, she even didn't want to see his face but still somewhere Arnav had some hopes in his heart that after some days Khushi anger would get vanished, and she would listen him. He'll ask her for forgiveness but it could not happen as she decided to leave this country  and he didn't know about her decision, Even Payal had refused to talk to him whenever he tried to ask about Khushi.

 

              Payal opened the door and stepped into Khushi's room and  as she had expected, Khushi was busy packing her belongings, She walked slowly towards her,Khushi heard the sound of the door  and  immediately wiped off her tears with her palm and turned around.

 "Payal when did you come?"Khushi said, spreading a weak smile on her face but even it could not help her as Payal had been seeing her dried tears and puffy eyes already.

 "hmm I just"

Payal left her sentence in mid way,giving a deep look to Khushi who was trying hard to pretend she was happy with her decision but she knew she wasn't.

 "Khushi,I want to ask you something?"Payal said in serious tone,starring at her and Khushi looked up zipping her bag, "Payal,we'll talk later but firstly, help me in packing my things, you know I am hell confuse right know,don't know what things I should take with me or what shuldn't"Khushi swallowed the tears, gathering her stuff from cupboard, Payal knew Khushi was avoiding her question but she had to ask before her departure, she held Khushi hand and made her sit on the bed "I help you"Payal whispered, grabbing all the cards, gifts, all the pics of Arnav and Khushi, her Payalry and her bag in which she had saved them,all the gifts which Arnav had given her.

Payal placed them near her,Khushi's eyes fell on her and his pictures, how it looked perfect to be with him, she sighed sadly,a sob slipped from her heart and she turned away her gaze,Payal who was noticing her changing expressions, finally spoke up because it was the right time to ask those questions which she wanted to ask "Khushi are you really want to leave these things here?"She asked, pointing towards Arnav's pictures, Khushi gasped, lifting up her lashes to meet with her gaze. Her face turned to look pale for a moment before she could compose herself, hurt still seemed to bite her heart and she swallowed the tears, gathering all her courage to speak.

"I want to leave all these memories of my past here and want to start my new life with new memories" she said plainly,but Payal could feel immense hurt in her words and it had hurt her.

"Khushi,I just want you to re-think about your decision, don't take any decision in hurry as I know you still---'"Payal cut short by Khushi's outburst "I don't love him anymore"

"I hate him," she almost screamed in frustration as her heart was still rejecting her decision and Payal got her answer, she knew Khushi was just trying to escape from herself, she was trying to run away from herself which Payal never wish to see,a lone tear came out of her eyes to see Khushi like that and lashed it out.

"I'll miss you,Khushi"Payal hugged her tightly while weeping; Payal had accepted her decision as she wanted Khushi's happiness.
