Hey Guys..Im new to this section..I had written this story two years back..when i was in grade 8.😆and thought of sharing with you all.. Hope you'll like it...and please do commment..

Into the labyrinth

 

 

I quickly ran and hid behind a wall. My heart was beating with fear. The Minotaur was a huge and nasty creature. I still can't believe why I had to come along with Thesus to fight the Minotaur. This is how it all began.

Thesus and I were chosen to fight the Minotaur. The Minotaur was a massive and unpleasant creature. It had been destroying many people lives. We had found out that the Minotaur lived in the labyrinth.

I was very scared and wanted to back out but Thesus was depending on me, I couldn't let him down. My heart was pounding faster and faster as we came towards the labyrinth. I couldn't understand why I, a dumb twat, had to come along with Thesus

Thesus, who was a brave and strong warrior said, "Come on, we have to get there quickly". A shiver went down my spine. I started to chew my sleeves; my knees were trembling with fear. I briskly replied, "Can we…stay... out here for  ...a little while more?" Why would you say that?" asked Thesus. "Maybe you are right let's go in", I said, trying to sound confident.

We entered the labyrinth. Darkness was all around us. "Wait Thesus, I said, let's tie the end of this ball of string to that big rock!" "Good idea" replied Thesus. I tied the string to the huge rock and took out a torch out of my rack sack. I turned it on. All at once light appeared.

"This is much better", said Thesus.

Thesus bravely walked forwards and I nervously followed him. In front of us was a small hole. Thesus said, "We'll have to crawl under this small hole". I'll go first," I said. I bent down and started to crawl. I was crawling so fast that I wasn't noticing where I was going. Finally there was a way out of the hole. Thesus and I quickly came out of the hole.  

Soon there was another task to complete. Beyond I could see a huge rocky mountain. As there was no alternative, we had to climb up it. Step by step, I held on to the rocks and made my way up. By the time we got there I was about to die. "There is no time to waste, lets make a move", reckoned Thesus.

As the mountain was steep, we had to be careful of taking side steps.

Eventually we reached to a safer place that was full of many rocks and stones. To tell you the truth, this place gave me the creeps.

"Hisssssss!" "What was that?" I said nervously. Thesus took out his massive sword. "Come out who ever you are!" said Thesus confidently. "Thesus!" I shouted. Thesus turned around, there in front of him was a gigantic cobra. The cobra wrapped me around its long, scaly body. I let out a scream. Thesus took his sword and copped of the cobra's head. I horrifically ran to a far distance from the dead cobra. The cobra was lying in a pool of blood. "I don't think I want to be here", I said unpleasantly. Thesus and I made our way to the other side of the mountain.

There was another magnificent mountain to climb. Again, but with a little more confidence, I climbed up the big rocks. Eventually we reached the top.

We made our way deep into the labyrinth and reached to a little stream. Thesus jumped in first. I fearfully put my foot in and felt that the water was freezing cold. I quickly took my foot out. I knew I had to do this. I rapidly swam to the other side. The water was so cold that I was freezing like an ice cube.  

In the distance I saw the Minotaur's hideout. "Thesus, Thesus, look over there!" I said anxiously. "Yes, we have finally made it; now one can stop us know from killing that Minotaur" said Thesus. I gulped. Oh no, I'll have to face the Minotaur, I thought to myself. "Here it goes", I said to Thesus in a shivery voice. 

 

Facing the Minotaur

I wasn't sure I wanted to go in. But at the last moment I couldn't let Thesus down. So in we went. Thesus bravely walked forward. I quietly followed him just like a mouse.

Thesus and I looked around. There was only darkness to be seen. I turned the torch on. In the darkness I could see a fearful eye. I heard a roar. I panicked. I quickly ran and hid behind this wall.

So this was what had happen. Thesus is trying to fight the Minotaur and I am hiding behind this wall. I got to help Thesus.  I peaked out from the side. I could see the gigantic Minotaur. Its big long horns were shinning bright. The horrid face was full of anger. His muscular body was ready for a fight. The dreadful Minotaur's hairy arms were gripping Thesus.

I gently tip toed behind the Minotaur. I picked up the sword, which was lying on the floor, and banged it on to the Minotaur's back. He let out a big scream. "Thesus, get up, knows the time!" I yelled.

I threw the sword over the Thesus. Thesus bravely stabbed the sword into the Minotaur's stomach. Thesus stabbed him again and again until the Minotaur fell to the floor. Thesus took out a rope from his rack sack and tied the Minotaur up.

After pulling the overweighed Minotaur all the way back to the village, I was exhausted. The mayor of the village gave me a medal for showing bravery and of course Thesus was also awarded. As for the Minotaur he will never bother anyone else.
