Sanyogita is missing 

Arjun pauses for a while before speaking " Boss don't worry Nothing will happen to madam. Perhaps she put her mobile in the charger and went to sleep and her mobile may be silent so she couldn't hear the ring tone"

Prithvi glanced at Arjun , praying Arjun would be right but his heart wasn't convinced this time too " No I don't think so. You said that she called you and told you My life is in danger. And she WhatsApp me and said it's urgent to call her back. My inkling is saying She is … she ..is "

Prithvi's voice muted in slow motion.

Present day- 

This is the continuation of the prologue...

Throughout the entire night, Prithvi found it impossible to close his eyelids and fall asleep. His mind was preoccupied with something that was causing him great restlessness and anxiety. Even Arjun, who was accustomed to seeing his boss in control and calm, was concerned by Prithvi's state of unease. He couldn't help but wonder how much he was worried for his wife . 

Prithvi called home finally, the landline of Malhotra mansion kept ringing but no one answered it. He had been trying to reach someone at Malhotra mansion for a while now, but the landline just kept ringing. Frustrated, he glanced at his mobile screen, which showed it was already ten forty-five. 

Prithvi glanced quickly over Arjun's anxious expression. It embarrassed him to be so frightened in front of his secretary. Furthermore, he realized that Arjun, who took on his work, needed rest as well.

“ Arjun,!”

" Yes Boss!” Arjun responded after breaking out from his massive thoughts of worry 

" It's too late and you need a proper sleep" 

“ It's alright Boss, I will go, but not before you go to bed because you have been working since the morning. Being overly stressed out makes you ill." 

"Thank you for your concern, but I was unable to get any rest until I spoke with my wife."

Arjun fixed his gaze on Prithvi. He felt bad for telling him about Sanyogita's message and then worrying about his boss. But he did as per the request of his boss' wife who he respects a lot.

“ Boss, why don't you call your brother and sister at home? Maybe they could help you?" 

Prithvi released a hopeless breath "Anushka's  exam is coming up. She must therefore be nervous after hearing the news . And Arian…

Prithvi abruptly stopped when there was no sign of luck, as if something was going through his head, and a fluttering smile appeared on his lips and cheeks. 

“ Yeah ..I can, I can call Ariyan !! 

“yes Boss Just made a phone call to him and I believe Madam is safe “

" I hope so “ as soon as he finally decided to call his younger brother Ariyan. Prithvi knew that Ariyan was an early riser and would probably be up doing his morning exercise. He would know Ariyan would wake up early in the morning for his morning exercise.

Anticipating with great expectations his younger brother would receive the call, a flood of hope kept rising in Prithvi's mind. 

The phone was picked up on the third ring.

“ Hey bro, what's?" " 

Prithvi heard the voice was groggy 

Ariyan took several yawning , 

“ You didn't wake up !" 

“ Why ??

" Oh sorry for disturbing your sleep bro. You usually wake up at dawn so I thought to make a phone call. I'm sorry I shouldn't…“

"Just fine bro…I'm about to wake up but last night I worked so late. I just went to sleep a few hours ago" 

A guilty build-up in Prithvi for disturbing his brother so early in the morning.

“ Bor...Is there anything you want to share with me…” Ariyan said this time he rubbed his eyes'' Unless you would never call me this time?”

A deep breath released from Prithvi's mouth making the person on the other side of the call worried 

“ Bro, what happened? Is everything alright?? Ariyan add again

Prithvi glanced at Arjun who blinked his eyes as if he could easily hear his boss's hesitant expression.

He took another deep breath and said the situation to his younger brother.

At first, Ariyan was surprised to hear him but also told him he was thinking so much so he tried Prithvi to relax.

“ Bhaiya you called me for this only, don't worry Perhaps Bhabi has gone to sleep “

Prithvi told him the things Arjun said to him. Sanyogita's last three messages and also when she reached Arjun after getting no response from her husband on mobile, she called Arjun to alert her husband regarding his life being in danger.

After learning everything, Ariyan 's cool calm voice began to break when Prithvi told Ariyan everything.

“ Don't worry Bro, I'm going to check out Bhaiya and let you know everything" 

"Thanks,  bro" 

" Hey don't be dramatic, we are family after all. “

Without any delay, Ariyan stepped out of his room and noticed that the light was still on in his sister Anuska room. He realised that she must be studying hard for her final exams. As he walked down the hallway, the soft glow of dim lights illuminated the spacious living room downstairs. He continued until he reached the door of his brother and elder sister-in-law's bedroom.

“ Bhabi!!..Bhabi!!! " Ariyan was worried about his surroundings too. If anyone among his family members heard his voice early in the morning must have been tense after learning the news that his brother told him a few minutes ago.

But He too was helpless.. having no other option she called Sanyogita's mobile.

An automatic robotic voice said “The number you're trying to reach is currently unavailable please try again later" 

“ Bhabhi…it's me Ariyan…! Bhabhi!" “.. 

However, upon knocking, he received no response. Upon further inspection, he found that the door was unlocked. 

With concern in his voice, he knocked again and asked, "Bhabhi, is everything alright? Are you okay? Bhaiya is asking about you."

Getting no response he stepped inside the room a little. He couldn't see anything. A mixture of hesitation and anxiety developed within him. 

He stood near the doorway and said aloud “

“Bhabhi, it's me Ariyan, Bhaiya is asking about you. He tried to reach you but as he couldn't reach you on mobile he called me instead. As your mobile is kept unavailable. He sent me to check on your well-being. Are you alright Bhabhi??”

He received no response from Sanyogita, and a sense of worry crept over him as he thought about her safety. Suddenly, in the midst of his search, Ariyan felt a jolt of fear when he sensed someone tapping on his shoulder. As he spun around, he was met with a person who raised an eyebrow and asked a question.

" What came? You seemed frightened as if you had seen a Ghost!" Anushka joked

Ariyan rolled his eyes" When did you come?

I woke up early this morning to study. As I was heading to the kitchen to make some coffee, I heard someone repeatedly calling out "Bade bhabhi." What does it matter , explain it ??" “ What are you doing outside of the Bhaiya bhabhi room early in the morning??" 

Ariyan glanced at his sister without deviating from his sight. He patted his lips to

" Bhaiya asked me to check on the Bhabhi room as he couldn't reach her on her mobile!" 

Anushka's eyes grew wider as mischievous smiles crept on her lips `` Ohh I understand. Bhaiya bhi na he is so worried about Bhabhi. Now in London it is hardly eleven at night that's why he is still waking up but in Mumbai, it's 3.30 in the morning. "

Anushka was about to say something when Ariyan's mobile rang out with an incoming call.

“ Yes, bro!"  Ariyan received the call before putting it near his left ear.

“ Ariyan, is Sanyo alright?" “ 

Ariyan could sense the nervous breathing of his elder brother. 

" Yes bhaiya is just going to wake up bhaiya then Anu meets me! 

Anushka looked at her brother with a grin." Bhaiya don't worry I'm going to tell Bhabhi. But if she gets angry with you for making her wake up so early in the morning then you have to tolerate the aftermath" Anushka shouts in a teasing tone to Prithvi 

Meanwhile, Prithvi closed his eyes with guilt. He prayed so hard that his assumption would go wrong unless he ever forgave  himself.

No, no. Just let her sleep and do not let her wake up. I was concerned about her health after not being able to reach her on my phone. Prithvi hid things he learned from Arjun related to his life in danger. 

Anushka entered the room without hearing her brother's final words.

Ariyan repeated Prithvi's words " Hey Bholu don't wake up Bhabi just check whether she is alright or not. " 

" Don't call me bhulau  ,  you potato chips" 

Anushka whispered back with a sarcastic smirked 

" Bhabhi!! "The large room began to flicker under the white light as soon as she turned on the light. 

“ Look Bhavi is alright 

"Yes, she is dozing off while putting the quilt cover on!" In order to prevent their voices from disturbing Sanyogita's sleep, Anushka spoke softly.

Ariyan's eyes flitted over the scene on the bed.The centre of the king-size bed features a bulging tall figure adorned in a brown quilt.

After leaving the room, they simply shut the door without locking it from the outside.

" Bhaiya bhi na!! Whenever it's a matter of Bhabhi he gets very worried about it! With astonishment, Anushka said 

With a small laugh tucked under his lip, Ariyan joked about following his sister. 

I now wholeheartedly concur with Bhabi. Bhaiya is  the king of overthinking when it's a matter of her” Ariyan teased his brother 

Both of them shared laughter 

" ssshh!!" Ariyan warned Anushka

" Oops sorry!" 

The siblings started to cross the hallway together. 

"Man na padhe ga..bhabhi is in a deep sleep. I called her several times even when you heard my voice and appeared"

" Really?? " 

" Yes" 

"But you knocked on the door, I noticed. Usually, Bhavi awakens. She never sleeps this deeply. You know what I'm trying to say"

Ariyan gazed at his sister, his brow furrowed in concern.

"Is she alright?"

" Yes she is"

"Hey, I just checked on her and she's sleeping peacefully, but if she has a fever, she might be in a deep sleep."

"Ariyan, it's not good for her to have a fever during pregnancy, unless it's just a normal viral fever."

" That's why I called you Bholu-rani!!...you should at least check on Bhabhi. Bhaiya even called me to do that "

" Alright, I'll go check on her. You can update bhaiya about it, okay?"

" Yea..just go na"" 

Anushka turned on her heels and commenced to head towards Sanyogita's bedroom.

Meanwhile Aryan got another phone call from his brother. He received the call and answered.

Anushka cautiously stepped into the bedroom. Entering the master bedroom of her brother and sister-in-law without permission made her feel as though she was about to commit a crime. However, she was complying with their brother's request and also making sure her elder sister-in-law was doing alright.  

"   Bhabhi AAP thik toh Hain na?? (Bhabi , are you alright?) . “.

Anushka did get a response.  She was really getting worried then. She stepped towards the bed and sat near the edge 

She put her hand over the quilt to check Sanyogita's body temperature.

As she adjusted the quilt, Anushka's heart skipped a beat. She shifted the quilt a little from above downward, Anushka thought her breathing stopped all of a sudden.

What she saw beneath the quilt left her in disbelief - a side pillow with a small head pillow placed in the middle of the bed. It wasn't her sister-in-law. 

Anushka sprang out of bed and began frantically calling out for Sanyogita. "Bhabhi!!! Bhabhi!!!"

She searched every nook and corner of the room, but Sanyogita was nowhere to be found. She even knocked on the bathroom door, but once again, there was no reply. 

As the situation grew more uncertain, Anushka's mind began to spiral into a state of panic. The tension was palpable as he realised that the bathroom door was now locked from the outside..

“ Thanks, bro. You don't know how much you relieve me tonight.Bhaut Jada tension me in padh Gaya tha” 

Ariyan words brought a flickering smile to Prithvi's cheeks “ You will too understand when you get married.Anyway Don't wake her up..let her sleep. I'll talk to her in the morning" 

" Sure ?”" 

“ Yes. And you too go back to your room and take a tight sleep" 

“ Yo too bro .You too needed a sleep. Btw, did you have your dinner..what will be the time in London right now??

“ Just half past eleven in the night “

" Bro, don't worry. Just have your  dinner first . Soon you will have a talk with Bhabhi in the morning " 

Ariyan heard the relaxing chuckles of his big brother on the mobile. He took a relief breath.

" You too sleep tight you too need this " 

They talked a few more moments before hanging up the phone call.

Ariyan's smiling face faded away in the air when she saw his younger sister coming running towards him.

Anushka was taking rapid breaths as she emerged from Sanyogita's room.

" Hey, what happened? Why are you looking so pale?? Subah subah Bhoot dekh liya kya "

Aryan put the mobile into his trouser pocket.

" Aryan bhaiya....bh...ba...bhabi" 

Ariyan didn't let her finish the word as he asked with confusion" What happened to Bhabhi??

" Bhabhi isn't in her room!"

" What are you talking about? We saw her sleeping on the bed" 

Anushka gave a sideways nod, saying, "No, no...She is not in her room.I looked in the closet, the bathroom, and the small office space that was connected to their master bedroom, but she was not even there. I'm really scared...khani Bhabi ko usne toh phir se!!  As she let the mean the last words, Anushka felt a bone-chilling shiver across her spine. 

Even Ariyan notices his sister's abrupt increase in anxiety.

"Do not worry, bholu," Ariyan reassured his sister as he pulled her into a cozy hug. He can no longer harm us. Nobody. He is in jail right" 

Anushka tilts her head back and looks up at his brother.

She merely nodded her head.

Anushka was not prepared to take Ariyan's advice to rest in her room. Together, they started looking for Sanyogita throughout the entire bungalow. Even though he attempted to call her mobile number, no one picked up. Though he tried to assure his brother that everything was fine, he couldn't shake off his growing sense of unease. In a bid to clear his doubts, he meticulously combed through every nook and cranny of the Malhotra mansion.

As the sun began to rise outside, Ariyan finally decided to tell his brother,Prithvi.

" Boss, dekha na .AAP khamakha tension le rahe they. madam is alright" Arjun said after getting the news Sanyogita was safe at Malhotra mansion.

Prithvi smiled simply.

" Thanks a lot. Now it's too late to go back to you .You needed a long rest" 

By stating, "Do not let me down, Sir. It's genuine to be panicked. However, there is no need to worry because Madam is safe. In the morning Madam will be you I guess. Good night night Boss.."

Prithvi said, "Good night, Arjun," without saying much more. 

His PA exited the room and shut the door.

Prithvi's mind was filled with worry. He couldn't remove the words Sanyogita called Arjun to alert him regarding danger in his life.

" What danger?? Has she had a dream? Is it possible to dream and fall asleep in less than 30 minutes? 

He ran his fingers over these wet hairs then put his face in between his both palms.

Prithvi then just adjusted himself over the bed to sleep. Although he just had his dinner. But his ingested meal would digest how much he didn't bother to think about it.

His mind kept running through the matter. It was unlike Sanyogita to not respond to his messages or calls.  

Suddenly his mobile vibrated with an incoming call from Mumbai. As he took a glance at the blue screen his both eyebrows pulled inward towards his glabella.

Nevertheless, he kept aside his worry and picked up the call and heard the speaker 

" Yes, Ariyan ...

A hushed silence fell over the room as Ariyan's words hung in the air. Prithvi's eyes were bloodshot with disbelief as he struggled to comprehend what he was hearing. The news hit him like a ton of bricks, causing the ground beneath him to shatter into a million pieces.

" Ariyan ..did you..

" Yes, Bhaiya I talked to them. With no luck in my favour, I  finally decided to contact the cyber team security department of our mansion. The manager soon arrived with his team and showed me the footage of the entire house.  But I couldn't find anything in it !"

" Ariyan sent me the footage!

" Bhaiya I checked...

" Send me the footage Ariyan!!" Prithvi's voice sounded like a command . 

His breathing even grew faster.His temples were pounding with a pulse. A spike of adrenaline shot through his veins as a thousand terrible thoughts started racing through his head.

Ariyan sent the footage to his brother. As Prithvi watched the clips his suspicion grew higher. He couldn't help but feel that something wasn't right.

He had reached a pivotal moment. The fears he harbored before departing for London had materialized. Sanyogita had disregarded his warnings and taken the action he had cautioned her against. Filled with concern and unease, he resolved to contact his informant to ascertain Sanyogita's whereabouts before her phone went silent.

When he received the information, the location of her phone left him devastated. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that his wife's phone was last located in a part of the city in a hotel . His heart sank as he thought of all the horrible things that could have happened to her.
