Chapter 22
Hello people!
Here is the next part of the series...
Coincidentally Yours!
Part 22 - The plans!
"May I have this dance with you?"
Ajabde looked at the forwarded hand and then at Pratap... Their eyes met and got locked like always. This time they could not decipher what was going on with the other one. There were so many emotions altogether, it was not easy to look away that easily.
"Please?"
Ajabde blinked first as her hand was held. She looked at hopeful Shakti and back at Pratap who was still locking his eyes on her. Not all the expectations come true. Pratap did not make a move.
Did she expect him to make a move?
She was not sure. What was that in her eyes, when she looked at him? He was not sure.
Shakti raised his eyes in question, she nodded with a small smile. Pratap did not move nor stopped looking at her. She went slowly as Shakti helped her reach the dance floor.
Ajabde glanced one last time and saw Pratap still staring at her without blinking eyes. The moment she turned to dance, Pratap left the party without getting noticed.

He sat on the bench of their back home orchard alone. Events of past few months flashing before his eyes as he put his black jacket aside, suddenly feeling hot in that chilly night.
He looked up in the dark sky, remembering the first rains he saw her in. How she enjoyed it like a kid! And of course, that chaay! And the adventures began. Then, she was with him in Office, at home... How her presence annoyed him! to how he loved to annoy her. All the teasings, all the laughter... Then, she was there with his friends, for shoppings, for food parties... He started gluing to her all the plans! They were everywhere... Coincidentally, contrasting in most of the things. How she spoiled his parents! How she spoiled him! How he got carried away! How she inspired him to work more hard! How carefree she was, yet so caring!
Her talks, her antics, her tinkles, her giggles, her smiles... Uff! Her way of working was mischievous, as he never thought she was actually working or taking training... All he may be thought was, she was on her vacation, enjoying whatever and however she could. Others might have thought the same.
And may be that was the plan!
The plan. In disguise of childish carefree visitor, she was the officer, helping his Dajiraj to gain the assignment through him and prevent frauds at the same time. Even Shakti was the part of the plan. Though it seemed, she made a good friend out of the mission. At tea spot, at mall, at dance floor... May be a special friend? How far they were, he had no clue. How close they were? May be he did not want to know.
He did not need to care for all that, did he? Could he?
Pratap was feeling little lost, knowing Ajabde wasn't the wicked Ajab he saw and liked on vacation but some secret agent on mission. What made him feel more lost was the fact, how he was feeling all this while. From stranger to colleague to carefree child to friend to matured officer... He was drawn to her every roles. Lately he couldn't take his eyes off her. Whenever he saw her, he wanted to talk. What? Don't know. Anything and everything. He had so much to share, so much to listen.
Since past few days, she looked somewhat aloof. May be, busy shaping up her mission. He himself was also busy na... He felt something was not right. But happenings of last two days hit him the most.
How easily she said, she will move back. Was it so easy for her to leave?
What was she thinking? Was she thinking anything?
She came without asking him... and was leaving without asking him. What was the big deal? Or was it a big deal?
Ughh!!!!! He held his head in his both the palms...

The prospect of her leaving is not sitting well with him. He got so used to her company.

The girl kept looking at you and you did not act. Then you have to stew in your own juices.

Spoke too soon. It was Shakti who asked her, not Pratap. What will he do now?
