Geet goes and greets them…
Maan doesn’t understand whom would she even know?
She was too young to remember these people…
Just then Maan looks at those oldies….
They are keenly watching the drama… it’s not that they are looking for some entertainment… but they are really concerned about their daughter Geet’s married life… she had a bumpy ride in her life from her childhood and she deserves to be happy at least now…..
Maan is ready to wait….
Geet goes and talks to them…
They are happy to see Geet…. But, who is that angry young man?
They could easily recognize him seeing their banter itself…
Geet: namaste dadaji, mein aapse ek madat maangne aayi hoon
“kya hua? Woh tumme tang kar raha hai kya?”
Geet: kya?
They are ready to help Geet…
Their eyes are on Maan and they are suspicious….
“Yahi haina Kiran ka beta?”
Geet doesn’t understand that they are referring to Maan as Kiran’s son as he is the only Khurana boy, people in their age see no difference between cousins as such, that too Khuranas are staying under one roof know?
Geet: nahi, Annie unki beti hai, ye Annie ke bade bhai hai
“Wahi toh, yahi tummara gharwala haina?”
Geet turns and looks at Maan immediately…. She doesn’t know what to say…
Those people are also looking at Maan only…
Maan is observing them too, he understands that they are talking about him only….
Geet: haan yahi hai
“Lagta toh Sharif hai”
“Kya kiya usne? Hummare Hoshiarpur mein aake hummare hi beti ko pareshan karta kya?”
Geet comes to Maan’s rescue…
Geet: aaisa kuch nahi hai, unko jaldhi jaana hai, kaam haina?
“koi baat ho toh humme bathao, hum bhi tumhare Darji ki tarah hi hai”
Geet: aap toh jaanthe honge ki mein ek bechari maa aur unke do bachon ko lekhe aayi hoon
“humne bhi suna hai, bahut chote se bache hai uski”
Geet: woh log ab yahi rahenge, hummare purane ghar mein
“ Ji beta, Woh log kushi se rek sakte hai yahan”
Geet: unka koi nahi hai meri tarah, aap unko thoda dhyan rakhna
“Aaisa mat kaho beta, hum sab tere saath hai, aur tumhare gharwala toh haina?”
Geet: haaan, hai
Geet keeps watching Maan…
Maan is impatiently waiting for her….
“tum donno ki jodi bahut achchi hai”
“bagwan aap donno ko hamesha kush rakhe”
Geet thinks that they need their blessings very badly now…
Hope their good wishes give at least Maan some peace of mind and happiness….
Geet: aap ke aashirwaad haina, sab sahi hoga
“Tum donno se milke bahut kushi hui hai”
“usko nahi milaoge?”
Geet signals Maan to come…
Maan goes to meet them out of respect for Darji….
He can guess that they’re Darji’s age people and must be his friends…
Maan goes and greets them too ..
They are really happy….
“Ghar mein sab theek haina puthar?”
Maan: ji
“tumne humme apne shadhi mein kyun nahi bhulaya?”
“ Hare chup, bhulatha toh bhi tum iss nalayak gutne ke saath jaathe kya?”
Maan: woh hummari shadhi thodi jadhi mein Hui thi
“suna hai tum logon ne baag ke shadhi ki”
“ Hare bagwan, Balwant, isska muh band karo pehle”
“humme toh bahut kushi hai ki Geet ka shadhi bhi Khurana pariwar mein hi Hui”
“Geet ke Darji Aaj hota toh bahut kush hotha apni pothi ko tumhare saath dekh ke”
“yahan aao puthar, hummare paas”
They want to say something personally….
Maan goes closer…
“Geet bahut naazuk hai, bahut nadaan hai, uski choti moti galtiyon ko lekhe naraz mat hona, bachi hai, maaf kardho uski galtiyon ko, Geet akheli hai, tumme hi usko sambalna hoga, hum buddon ki baat ko zara mann mein rakhna beta”
Maan knows that they are reacting for what just happened….
Maan smiles…
Maan: haan, zaroor, aap log kabhi hummare Ghar aana
“Aayenge, aap log bhi aathe raho”
“ji, hum chalte hai”
Geet goes to sit on the back…
Maan catches hold of her, opens the front door and makes her sit there…
Ye ladhki jahan bhi jayegi mere naak katwayegi…
Ye log mere barein mein kya sochte? Mein kya “Ravan” hoon?
Geet ne toh mujhe “Ravan” nahi “Rakshak” banake rakha hai sab ke samne….
Maan is very upset….
They are on their way back to Delhi….
Maan is back to his DD mode… Geet paas hai toh Maan DD hi ban sakta, haina?
But Geet is happy that Maan came….
Though he only came to stop her from creating more problems, he is still concerned about Geet… his eyes tell her that there is something still left between the two of them…
Some bonds are made for life, though we might loose touch with each other or the relationship sours… even if we are not in talking terms we will want to know what’s happening in the other person’s life….
Their bond is like that….
Maan thinks that he has hastily made a wrong decision by acting like an immature teenager then…
Why did he do that stupidity?
Why did he put Sindhoor on Geet’s forehead?
Does that mean that they are married?
How absurd and filmy?
What was Maan thinking?
He was young but not unreasonable like Geet…
But for some strange reason, Maan’s reasoning skills doesn’t work when it comes to Geet…
Iss pagal Geet Handa ko dekh ke Maan Singh Khurana bhi hamesha pagal ho jaatha aur Geet ki tarah galtiyan karke beitha….
That’s why he need to stay away from Geet…. That will do good for both of them…
Thinking that he was solving her problem, he had only created more problems for her….
Had he not done that foolish act, both their lives would have been saved…
They wouldn’t have been bound by this fake bond, this namesake marriage has only given pain to both of them…
It’s only wise to break the fake bond and free themselves from this never ending problem….
Maan looks at Geet….
She is sleeping….
Maan could keep admiring her all day just like that, watching her…
