Part – 72

On their return journey....

Geet is not sleeping….

She has just closed her eyes and is thinking about the past…

How and why all this misunderstanding happened?

Geet thinks about her stupidity….

Geet knew that Maan was madly in love with her….

Geet was so happy to know that someone is there to give her all the love she needed…

Everything changed that night…

Geet was more scared about Maan than anything else, when she found out that she was with Dev…

She couldn’t imagine what will happen to Maan when he gets to know about this….

Geet was so scared that she was ready to end her life for she didn’t want to ever see Maan after what happened…

What was there left for her to go back to Maan? What was there left for her to live in this world without Maan?

That’s why she wanted to end her life then itself before Maan got to know that his Geet betrayed him…

But Maan came and saved her….

Maan understood everything just by looking at Geet’s condition…

The first words he uttered….

Maan: kaun hai woh?

Maan went mad with anger, Geet had never seen him like that before….

Geet got worried about what will happen….

Geet: Dev

Maan: ye kya kar rahi thi tum? Tum meri ho Geet, Maan ki Geet, aur tumme koi haq nahi aaise apne jaan dene ki, kyunki jho bhi hai woh mera hai, tumara nahi, samjhi tum?

Geet knew what he meant…

Geet thought that Maan was mad because Geet just lost something that belonged to Maan, and not Geet….

(But actually Maan was only warning her to not think about taking her life for she had no right to do so when Maan was there…. )

Maan went in search of Dev, if not for that accident, Maan would have taken Dev’s life that night….

Geet was thankful to babaji that Maan was saved from becoming a murderer because of her….

Then they went home and Geet tried to hide herself from Maan for she was ashamed of going in front of Maan after what happened….

Maan loved her so much that he was the one more affected…

Geet couldn’t stop her overthinking mind from thinking about what would happen if at all she got pregnant….

That thought itself made her depressed… she has been only thinking about that over and over again…

The fear took over her mind completely blocking her from thinking straight….

That’s when she missed her periods…

They say that the mind is so powerful that it can easily control our life…

That’s what happened with Geet….

The fear successfully made her believe that she was pregnant….

Then she remembered what Maan said that night….

“ Tum meri ho Geet, jho bhi hai mera hai, tumara nahi”

Geet was afraid about Maan’s reaction when he would get to know about her condition..

Geet thought that Maan would ruin his life when he hears the news…

Geet wanted to tell the truth to everyone, that way she would take the blame on herself and that would become her problem alone, Maan would be spared from destroying his life..

But Maan took the blame on himself and married her…

Geet’s fears came true….

Then Maan kept chanting, “ mere hothe hue mere Geet ke saath ye kaise ho gaya”..

Maan was angry with himself for not protecting his Geet… he cursed himself for whatever happened….

He kept telling Geet… “ Geet, jho bhi ho tum meri ho, sirf meri, Geet sirf Maan ki hai, aur iss mein teri koi galti nahi hai, galti meri hai, mujhe hi apne Geet ke raksha karna tha, tum fikar mat karo Geet, mein sab sambhal loonga, mein apne Geet ko wapas lekhe aaoonga, mujhe meri Geet wapas chahiye”

Maan was saying that because he wanted his Geet who had just started to believe that she could also lead a happy life with Maan…

Geet lost her tiny hope that her life could be simple and easy….

Maan had worked hard to instill that hope in Geet, now everything has gone in vain…

Maan was only worried about that….

Geet thought that Maan wanted his Geet(the one before the unfortunate incident), who was all Maan’s, like he said, that Geet belonged to Maan and only Maan….

Geet started fearing how would Maan accept the fact that his Geet was carrying someone’s else’s baby…

That thought was killing her from inside, she had lost her abilities to see what was actually happening in her life… she had become a victim of her own fears… that made her believe that Maan killed her baby in order to get back his Geet, to say in his words, “Maan ki Geet”…

Maan stops the car at a restaurant….

Geet comes out of her thoughts….

Geet goes to the restroom and comes back….

Maan is waiting for her at the table….

Maan has ordered something already….

Geet goes and sits there…

The food comes…

There’s only one plate of parathas….

Geet’s favourite lacha Parathas… with paneer makhani….

Geet looks at the table and then Maan….

She can’t even ask him, why he is not eating? Or what is wrong with him?…

Because she already knows the reason, and the reason is one and only Geet Handa…
