"Will you stop arguing and listen to what I am saying, Sahni?" Reyaansh burst out. 

He was trying his best to explain his point of view to his partner but she was not ready to listen.

"No. You listen to me, Lamba. My assumptions are always right and you know that," Aradhana argued. 

She was now getting frustrated, he never let her work her way. 

It had been two years since Reyaansh and Aradhana had been working together as reporters. The entire office could vouch for the tremendous job both of them had done over the past years, and had also been awarded many times for the bravery and relentless passion they had for their work. But more than anything, everyone enjoyed their legendary pride and prejudice enactments. Both were too egoistic to listen to what the other had to say, always leading into verbal duels, much to the amusement of other reporters. 

"Listen, it's not another sting operation, it's a terrorist attack," Reyaansh tried to explain.

"I know that," Aradhana replied. "I am going to stick with my plan and if you wish then you can come with me, otherwise I don't care. 

And she left the cabin. 

Reyaansh couldn't believe that she is the same as she was while joining the office. They never cope up well with each other. He has been used to her carelessness despite being trying to change it. She never thought for a second before risking her life. He never realised why. 

But Reyaansh did care for his life. He has been taking care of his family. He did know the value for life. It was his duty to find the truth but he also knew how to save himself from danger. Thus, he always made missions with a safe exit plan, but Aradhana always had an entry plan. She says once you enter a problem, you will find a solution on the way. Perhaps, that's the reason why they always fight.

With no other option, he followed her. 

Sweat beads ran down his face, when he realized that Aradhana has moved in. He found her car on the parking with a note inside that she was going in. When he neared the shopping mall which was hijacked all his eyes could make out was huge crowds of people gathered a few metres away from the main building.

"This girl.." Reyaansh tried to rush across the ring the NSG commandos had formed only to be pulled back. Never, never had Reyaansh Lamba been so desperate in his life. Terror echoed every heart that beat in the chests of those who saw this spectacle.

''We are sorry sir, you need to hold back!!'' one of the NSG men told Reyaansh.

No. He cannot stay calm. He can not hold back. It the first tome Aradhana has started any mission alone. They have always taken every step together. How can she do it? Wait, is he afraid to lose her?

Reyaansh climbed up the pipe from back of the building and entered through the window. He gazed around. It was a washroom. He opened the door and peeped outside. Men, women and even kids seemed scared and sitting in a corner. His eyes looked everywhere in order to search Aradhana but he couldn't see her. He decided to search for her and took step forward.

"Stop!" he heard someone shout. His feet stopped recognising Aradhana's voice. But where was she? 

"Why the hell are you shouting stupid woman?" A man, wearing a mask marched towards the crowd and held up Aradhana pulling her hair.

"Aah!" she screamed in pain. 

Reyaansh's hand balled into a fist. He just wanted to go and pull his head off for torturing Aradhana like this. He moved forward when he realised Aradhana looking at him and signing him to stay back.

"I need to use the washroom,” She said to the man. 

He pulled her rudely and towards the washroom. Meanwhile, Reyaansh closed the door and hid inside. 

"Will you come inside with me now?” he heard Aradhana speaking and some footsteps going away. 

After a nanosecond, Aradhana came inside looking for Reyaansh.

She finally crashed into him as soon as she saw him behind the door. Hr crushed her into his embrace, his hands going through her hair.

He cradled her head in his palm and looked for any wounds. His trembling fingers brushed the corner of her lips which had a slight cut.

"I will not leave anyone of them,” He said with rage in his eyes.

"Don’t be mad. They are so many, with so much weapons. They are dangerous,” Aradhana spoke.

"Why the hell didn't you wait for me before coming in? You knew I’ll come behind you," Reyaansh asked cupping her face. "You should have atleast called me when you realised the trouble, right?"

"I tried. But they took my phone. Do you think the police will save us?" Aradhana whispered trying to control her tears.

"Of course they will,” Reyaansh whispered back. "You again didn’t think before risking your life.”

"Actually," Aradhana smiled. "I knew you would come to save my life."

Reyaansh chuckled. He knew she was crazy but he didn't know she trust him so much. But he had realised that he couldn't afford to loose her. He again brushed her wound and she hissed in pain. Suddenly, they heard a knock.

"How much time more?"

"Just 2 mins." Aradhana replied. Llisten, Lamba. I have to go. Please don't do anything before the police reaches. There is no guarantee of us meeting again okay; because if they tried to harm anyone, then I am going to stand for them. All the best."

She said and turned but Reyaansh pulled her arm. He looked at her cut again and then her lips. He felt drawn towards those lips. A sensation that pushed out all others. He leaned forward and let his lips seek and close upon Aradhana's. He heard her indrawn breath, but he paid no heed. His lips moved gently over hers, coaxing, nudging. letting go, drowning in a softness, a silent avalanche of some unknown unuttered longing. Control was slipping away, the kiss had unsaid questions and unexpected declarations. She pressed her lips hard against his mouth and he pulled back. 

Both of them reassured each other, though from the inside both of them were equally scared. Just like probably the hundreds stranded inside, a silent sense of hope gave them strength.

Aradhana's heart skipped a beat. Death - this was the first word that entered her mind right then. She was never afraid of death but what just happened between her and Reyaansh, made her realize that she has fallen love with him. She realised she had always in love with him. That’s why she risked her life, she knew that he would come to save her. But now, she wanted to live with him. 

Reyaansh didn't know why he did that. He just felt like kissing her and he did. They have been working since 2 years and faced dangers together but he was never so restless. He looked deeply into her eyes and realised she had tears. She held his face and pulled him down, placing her lips on his forehead and then pressing it softly there. She didn't look at him again and left from there leaving behind a restless Reyaansh.

"Congrats Mr. Lamba and Miss. Sahni. This wasn’t possible without your cooperation," The DCP of police congratulated them.

"Thank you sir". Both of them shook hands with him.

Yes. They finally did it. They were able to save the hundreds of people and also themselves. 

Reyaansh sat on the couch with mug of bear in his hand. His mind was full of things that happened at the day. He closed his eyes and his eyes flashed the moment when he kissed Aradhana. He opened his eyes in a jerk. He closed them again and saw the glimpse where she had kissed his forehead. He felt that it was out of a lot of love and only love. 

His thoughts were broken by the door bell. He looked at the time. It was a quarter to 11. Who could come at this time? he thought. He put the bear mug on the table and opened the door. There she stood, looking at him with a smile. 

"Aradhana?" he asked her to come in. "Is everything okay?"

"I need to discuss about a case with you," She replied sitting on the sofa in the dinning hall. 

"Case?” Reyaansh couldn't believe. "At this time?

"Yes. It's now or never," She whispered.

"What do you mean?" Reyaansh asked as he sat in front of her. 

"It's our case, Reyaansh. You didn't say a word after that..."

"Aradhana,” He stood up. "It was just.. a.. a weak moment..."

"Really, Reyaansh?" she went near him. "It didn't mean anything to you. Was it really just a casual kiss?"

"Yes."

"I was always Sahni for you. Why am I Aradhana now then? Don't I affect you?" She asked.

"No." He said after a pause.

Aradhana pulled him towards herself.

 "Now?" Her breath almost kissing his face, and her magnetic voice dazzling him as he closed his eyes.

"No" he said with assembling every ounce of strength in him and pushed her away.

 But she was determined to get him no matter what. After all, he was her first love.

And so what she did was totally expected and yet not for it was something that could sweep anyone of their world. She held him tightly not letting him move. And her lips placed on his, they just stayed like that as she neither kissed him nor moved away, just patiently waited for him to give up. And he finally did, closing his eyes and parting his lips, he pulled her closer by his lips. She kissed him back, as softly as she could. His hands left her and pulled her closer by the waist as hers travelled up to his nape pulling as close as possible. It was soft but soon turned to a passionate one.  

Aradhana's sleep got disturb feeling the tingling sensation all over her body.  She opened her eyes lazily and found Reyaansh was kissing her. She recollected the events of the last nights. A small blush crept on her face remembering the intense moment between them. Sensing her awake he looked at her with his eyes full of desire. Moving towards her lips he looked at her with his intense gaze and locked her lips with his. Later, he lay on the bed on his back taking her in his arms.

 "Congratulations, Miss Sahni.” Reyaansh said as both of them played with each other's fingers. “You trapped me.”

"what?" Aradhana asked confused.

"In your love," He winked and she smiled.

"I love you Aradhana," He kissed her temple.

"I love you too Rey,” She kissed on his chest.
