Part 10

One month went without any importance. Suhani's new apartment is getting ready fast and she is making arrangements for the house warming party.

One day while Shabd is reading an important article in Fashion technology magazine he noticed Mahi moaning in the sleep. Her temples swollen and face is frown. He put down the magazine and moved close to her. He caressed her forehead and temples gently and Mahi relieved slowly. He smiled and caressed her chin with his thumb admiring her beauty. "When am I going to cherish this beauty? Kab mujhey apnalogi Mahi?" He sighed and kissed softly her forehead and dropped his hand around her waist and closed his eyes.

In the middle of the night Mahi opened her eyes and saw Shabd's hand around her. She smiled and blushed and hid her face under pillow. Her heart is beating fast as thinking of his touch and removed it and turned the other side. Shabd opened his eyes and smiled and again dropped his hand around her and moved a little closer to her. Mahi smiled and let it stay on her and closed her eyes pulling the pillow on top of her head. Shabd is happy for her not removing his hand this time. He slowly stretched his left hand on top of her head under the pillow. Mahi moved backwards and placed her head on his left shoulder without turning his side. Shabd folded his left hand and covered her neck and touched her right shoulder as protecting her. She tugged herself close to him and he tightened his right hand around her waist. Both could feel their hearts beating so fast and Shabd placed his left cheek on Mahi's right cheek. He felt hot and startled and looked into her face. She hid her face into his shoulder more closely.

"Mahi! Tumhara badan garmi hai. Are you feverish?" Mahi shook her head as she doesn't know and turned his side. He touched her forehead and switched on the light on side table. Mahi fell back flat closing her eyes and moaning in pain.

He searched his draws and gave a pain killer to her and made her sleep again. He pulled her close to his chest and tugged her under blanket. Mahi circled him and hid her face in the neck curve. Shabd felt her heat but bore till morning as he doesn't want to disturb her. He soothed her pain by gently caressing her back.

Morning by the time Mahi opened her eyes Shabd called doctor and informed Brij and his wife Mohini. Mahi smiled for his tension "Shabd! Yeh mamuli si bukaar hai, itna hungama karney ki kya jaroorat thi?"

Shabd grinned "I can't see you suffering like that. Puri raat tumhari badan bahut kaampraha tha and you are moaning in pain. I couldn't sleep as worrying about your fever. What if this turns into something serious? Tum mere akeli ladli wife ho!!" He grinned and winked at her.

Mahi laughed and Shabd admired her laugh and she blushed and hid her face in hands. Shabd kissed her forehead "Aisi hasti phirti ladki achanak bukar sey bedridden hojaaye toh, pata hai kitna hairaani hoti hai?" He kissed her cheeks.
Mahi shook her head sideways and laughed again. Mohini and Brij came at the same time and admired at the cute couple. "Kaisi ho Mahi?" Mohini checked her and hugged.

Mahi's fever last for two days and Malhotra couple stayed to take care of her on Shabd's request. Mahi felt happy and proud for Shabd's interest in her health.

"How are you feeling now?" Shabd enquired while Mahi lay on the bed after sending her parents. He checked her forehead as she nodded her head for his enquiry. She blushed when checked her cheeks and hid her face under pillow. He smiled and tugged her under blanket and switched of the lights.

Suhani moved to her new apartments after a month and arranged a party. She invited her friends whom she is in touch with since her school and Shabd met all of them and introduced Mahi too. They showed interest in Mahi's projects and praised Shabd for his help in fulfilling her ambitions.

Mahi felt proud about Shabd and realized how lucky she was to have him in her life. She looked at him with affection. Shabd is busy through entire party with his friends. Mahi kept admiring her husband even she is busy with the other guests.
Shabd noticed today the love that he was longing to see in her eyes. His heart is yearning to hold her in his arms and love her the whole night. He got ready to leave the party several times but his friends stopped him all the time.

At last around midnight Shabd could able to leave for home. Mahi is tired by that time and took a nap in the drive. She slept close to him unlike all other nights as she remembered her sleeping in his pampering hugs in her fever days. Shabd is happy for her atleast allowing him to hold her in his arms at sleep.

"Can you sleep this way forever?" She looked into his eyes and blushed "Agar aap mujhey padhney diye tho!!"

"What do you mean? I didn't ask you to stop studies." He offended. She smiled "Agar mein itni kareeb soye toh aap door reh sakengey?"

Shabd sighed heavily and naughtily looked into her eyes "Theen saal sey tumharey saat ek hi bistar mein without touching you sota raha. Abb tum ek kiss bhi diye toh shayad mujhey samajh mein nahi aayega kya karoon?"

Mahi giggled and hid her face into his chest. Shabd circled his hands around her "I'll wait for you, MahiRani! Mere jaanoo!" He kissed her forehead and closed eyes.

Mahi is also waiting to confess her love as she doesn't want to ruin her studies before she tastes his love.
