PART 11

In the evening after class:

Kt,Sneha and Prachi were walking down the stairs...

S: Where are they? They would be in the football ground, they are having their team selection na...
P:And I will have to wait for Neev till 4 o clock..
K:No problem..we will also sit with you....

Sneha and Prachi looks at each other and smiles...

P:We know why you are saying that....
S:To wait for Laksh na....(laughs) (Prachi also laughs)
K:(blushing) No..No..Nothing like that......(smiles)

After sometime they reached the football ground. They saw Neev,Laksh and Manthan standing outside the ground waiting for their team selection .. They went to them..

P:Why are you waiting here...Your selection didn't start...
N:(looking at the ground) That Eklavya hasn't finished yet with your department team...

Kt looked at the ground..Eklavya was there in the ground with her classmates, doing the final round of selection...At that time a girl (G) came to them....She came to Laksh...

G:(excitedly)Hiiiii Laksh......
L:Hiiiii Sania....
Sa:(blushes and continues in a nervous tone)I...I..I just came to wish you "All the best" for the selection...(smiles shyly at Laksh)...
L:Oh...thank you...

Kt was noticing the girl ...She didn't like the way in which she was staring at Laksh or the way she talked to him.....

M: Only Laksh...not us?
Sa:(suddenly) No...all of you...All the best guys..(smiles at them and went away..)
N:She is our classmate...Seems like she has a crush on our Laksh...(laughs)
L:(nervously looking at Kt)(to Neev) Kya Neev....Tum bhi...!!(to every one)Aisa kuch bhi nahin hai....Hai na Manthan..?
M:(smiling) Kya pata....?(laughs)

Eklavya had finished with the selection and they were moving out of the ground..Then he saw Kt with her friends..He stood there staring at her...

L:Come with me Kt...I've got to talk to you...(walks away)

Kt went with him...Eklavya was noticing all this..He thought.."Chakkar kya hai..?"....Kt and Laksh didn't see Eklavya watching them from a distance..

K:Kya baat hai Laksh..?
L:Kt...Don't take Neev seriously..She is just my friend..
K:But Laksh.....Even I agree with Neev...(feeling irritated)She is trying to flirt with you and I didn't like that....(looks away from Laksh)
L:Aisa kuch bhi nahin hai Kt..

Eklavya understood that there was something between Laksh and Kt..He was about to go to them while his friends called him and he went away with them...

It was time for their team selection..Their team Captain Abhir Mishra was calling them all...

N:Oye Laksh....LAKSH..
K:Neev is calling you Laksh...
L:Oh...I will talk to you later...Come on...

They went to the others...Together they went to the ground.. Kt,Sneha and Prachi sat in the stands around the ground to watch the selection..The boys were about to leave to the ground..

L:(gives his bag to Kt)Kt..Keep this with you...
K:(smiles)All the best Laksh..
L:(pinches her cheeks)Thank you sweetheart..(and then he went with Neev and Manthan)

Kt gently touched her cheek were Laksh had pinched and she smiled...Prachi and Sneha didn't notice this..Kt looked at them and she saw Sania and her friends sitting a little bit away from them on the stands...Sania was staring at Laksh and was whispering something to her friend and they both giggled..Kt felt irritated and she stared at the playground instead...The selection had started. In the first round, each participant was called in the alphabetical order of names and they were made to score goals from a certain distance from the goalpost..Each player was given 3 chances.Abhir was noting down their performance....All of them didn't score at their first chance..A few people scored 2 goals whereas some didn't even score once...Soon it was Laksh's turn...

Laksh walked to the ball in order to kick it...Kt saw that he was nervous..She wanted to cheer him up....But then...

Sa:(stood up and yelled)COME ON LAKSH....JUST DO IT.....

She and her friends began to clap their hands and screamed together "LAKSH.... LAKSH.... LAKSH"

Kt glared at Sania.....Laksh wasn't noticing any of these..He was concentrating on the goalpost as he kicked the ball...And then he scored a goal....He scored a goal each in his next two chances also...Abhir became so happy and he ran to Laksh and congratulated him

A:Great Laksh...You are awesome!!3 goals together...!!You are in the team...That's decided..
L:(feeling so happy)But the result...The result will be known only after the selection is over na..
A:(smiling)Dude..You don't have to wait till that...

The first round was over after some time..All of those who had scored at least one goal were selected for the next round.. Neev and Manthan had both scored two goals each.. Laksh,Neev and Manthan were standing with the group of the first years who were ready for the second round..There were 9 of them...Abhir came to them..

A:Now the second round is a game..The game will be between our old team members and you guys..There are 9 members left of our old team of which 2 were substitute players..The remaining members have passed out of our college..So we need 4 more team members and two more substitutes..So after the game the best 6 of you will be selected..(smiles at Laksh)No...5 of you..I mean Laksh is already selected...

Then the game was played...After the second round Laksh,Neev,Manthan and another boy were selected into the main team..2 others were also selected as the substitutes...After talking with their team captain, Neev,Manthan and Laksh came running to the girls..

L:(comes to Kt)Hey Kt...We three are in....
K:(smiling)I know..I know...I am very happy for you Laksh...You made it in the first round itself na...(to Neev and Manthan)And congrats to both of you too..

Sneha and Prachi also congratulated them..The boys thanked them..

L:Kt take that bottle from my bag..

Kt took the bottle from his bag and gave it to him...He drinked from it as if he was very thirsty...and Kt watched the Adam's apple in his throat moving up and down...She felt a sudden urge to grab him and kiss him..She stared at him and thought "How attractive he is!!".. Then Laksh poured the water over his face and head, and shook his head.. The water sprinkled all over Kt...She suddenly came to her senses..

K:Hey...Stop it Laksh..You are wetting my clothes…
L:Oh…Is it..?Sorry Kt (then smiling,comes closer to Kt and sprays more water on Kt by shaking his head more)
K:Whats this Laksh..?(And she moves away from Laksh)

Laksh followed her.She went and hid behind Prachi and Sneha..They were laughing.Suddenly Neev caught hold of Laksh from behind and took the bottle from him..

N:Come here Kt..Take this bottle and pour the entire water over him...
K:(comes forward)Thank you Neev...(takes the bottle and looks into Laksh's eyes)..

Sania and her friends were passing by..Sania saw the scene and came to them..

Sa:(laughing)What is this Neev?(she held out a hand to Laksh)anyways Laksh..You played wonderfully...You were awesome..I am totally impressed...
L:(shook hands with her as Neev released him)...Thank you...And by the way you saved me Sania..(smiles at Neev and moves away from him)

Kt was looking at Laksh and Sania as they were talking...She saw a longing look on Sania's face as she was looking at Laksh..Kt couldn't stand it for long..She turned her head away...Sania walked away after congratulating Neev and Manthan...But Kt didn't see Laksh approaching her from behind..He began to pour water over her head and then only she realised...

K:No Laksh(she runs away from him)
L:(runs after her)What were you going to do Kt?...You will pour water on me,huh? I will show you..Stop Kt(laughs)

Kt didn't look back as she ran to the garden where there was no one at that time..She went and hid behind a large bush..When she again looked for Laksh, she didn't find him..She stood there panting after running.....Suddenly someone caught her from behind and she had a shock..

L:(whispers in her ear)Tum ne kya socha Kt..?Main zaroor tumahari upar yeh pani daaloonga..
K:(struggles in Laksh's grasp whose hands were around her waist)Chodo na Laksh..Please....

He then pour the water over her body...She was all wet...Then she stopped struggling when he released her..She turned to face him..He was looking at her wet face with a blazing look..She couldn't meet his gaze and she looked down....He took her chin and raised her head to face him..He moved her face towards his....Her heartbeats were racing...Her lips were closer to his lips...and more closer...more closer...Suddenly Kt pushed Laksh and ran...But she couldn't run...He had held her hand...

L:(in a romantic tone)Aye Kt....
K:(slowly)Kya...
L:Tum apna waada bhool gayi kya?
K:(turns her face to him)Kaunsa waada..?
L:Wohi....Kiss dene ka...
K:Woh phone pe kiss dene ki baat thi naa...
L:(releases her hand)Nahi...Mujhe abhi chahiye...

K:(coming closer)(in a romantic tone)Kiss chahiye na tumhe...?
L:(excited)Haan...
K:(whispers)Close your eyes...
L:(closes his eyes and smiles)Hmmmm...

Kt gave a sweet kiss on his cheek and ran away ..Laksh stood there smiling looking at Kt...
