Part 10:

 

"WHAT?" Kripa almost shouted at Aamna out of rage, sitting beside of her at her office desk. "Are u sure? I mean, he can't do it right." She said not wanting to believe what was being told to her.

"No Kripa, I am sure. I myself booked the rooms of the hotel on your and Angad's name." Aamna said with confidence.

"But he never asked me about it, I mean am I not suppose to know where my boss is taking me?" Kripa said in fury.

"Well indeed u have right to know. But then again what can we do?" Aamna said placing her hand over Kripa's.

 "Of course I can. He is not going to get away this time so easily. He will have to answer me this time." Kripa said getting up in anger and determination.

 

Kripa barged inside Angad's cabin without knocking with anger clearly written on her face.

She stood in front of him, her arms folded. Seeing this Angad excused himself from his phone conversation and glared at her in a bossy way. "What was that Mrs. Khanna? You r expected to knock before coming in, have u forgotten this?" he said.

"Oh really. Then you are expected to atleast tell ur employee before taking him or her for a business meeting, rather than taking his or her assent for granted." She said in same tone.

Angad gave her a smile and gestured her to sit down, to which she reluctantly obeyed to. 

 "Calm down Mrs. Khanna and listen me out." He said calmly.

Kripa surprised at his tone, agreed for the same.

"Well Mrs. Khanna it a large scale business presentation and I needed an efficient assistant to accompany me. Now, look at the prospects." He said trying to reason with her.

"I cannot take Aamna because she is expecting and her husband doesn't allow her to travel. Jessica is a minor and needs her parent's permission to go. As for mukti, she has some health problems to deal with. Now are there any other prospects." He asked.

Kripa started to think, but before she could he said again "of course not. U r the only one available…u r not a minor, u r not expecting, u r healthy and above all ur husband have no objections on it." He winked at her.

Kripa cocked her eyebrows and said "but still u should have told me."

"Oh my darling Kripa, being a dedicated employee u r, would u have refuse to go with me, anyways?" he asked lovingly.

Kripa nodded in no.

"See, that's why I didn't ask." He said leaning on his chair giving her a know-it-all look and signaled her to leave.

"And mind to knock next time." He said as she was going out.  

Kripa came out a little lost, wasn't she supposed to have an upper hand in this conversation. She felt defeated…again.

 

Simi came hopping towards Angad after completing the scene. "How was my performance?" she asked cheerfully. Anybody on the rehearsal could tell that the girl was practically bowled over by Angad.

 "Fabulous as always." Angad smiled at her. Kripa threw him an angry look.

Simi grinned larger and said "thanks. How about if u drop me home today, then may be we can dine together some day." She asked beamingly.

"Sorry kid. Hard luck. I am taken." He said patting her head and eyeing Kripa from the corner of his eyes.

"oh." Simi sighed with disappointment "but still u can drop me right."

"Of course I can. You as well as our madam producer." He said turning towards Kripa.

"I will drop her." Prithvi butted him.

"Don't bother Prithvi. I will drop her." Then without giving him time to respond he turned towards Kripa "lets go Kripa." He said and without waiting for an answer walked out. Simi, disappointed with this threesome, hurried and took a sit in front before Kripa. Kripa sat at the back.    

 

Angad stopped the car near simi's house and came out to see her off. "What about wishing me goodnight?" simi asked making a small pout.

Angad laughed and pecked her cheeks "Happy. Gosh a man is not safe with u girl." Waving her off e came in again only to get an angry gare from Kripa.

He started driving again but stopped the car within few minutes and turned back "come in front." He ordered Kripa.

"I will not." She replied stubbornly.

"Kripa come in front right now." He said again.

"NO." she said again.

"Fine then I am not driving." He said leaving the steering wheel.

Kripa threw her hands in air and came in front facing the other side.

 

Angad stopped the car in front of her hotel a little distance away. Kripa mouthed thanks and started moving out when she felt him grabbing her arms. She turned to face him and gave him a questioning look. "You forgot something" he smirked at her and bent her seat a little. Then before she knew, his mouth was on hers. He gave her a hard demanding kiss as she struggled to break it, before surrendering to it. Her arms automatically circled him in as he leaned over her. After a few minutes, Kripa gathered her full energy and pushed him away. "What was that for?" she asked trying to catch her breath.

He just shrugged his shoulders and said "I was wishing u goodnight."

Kripa gave him a hopeless look and walked away towards her hotel.
