PART- 46

 

Recap: Raj thinks about some beautiful memories that he had spent with naina. There is a meeting called by Brigadier chandok. He informs everybody that naina had been arrested for shooting captain amit, and captain shikha is also injured and captain karan is missing. Everyone is shocked. Brigadier orders to investigate this case to kunal and raj and they both are shocked.

Now:

Kunal and Raj were in Rajasthan on the other morning. It had been four days since naina's arrest yet nobody was successed to get any information out of her. They both were at the head quarters.

The superior officer welcomed them but both of them were not interested in anything except meeting naina, shikha and amit.

Kunal- Sir, We would like to meet captain naina, shikha and amit as soon as possible.

Colonel- Well you can meet captain shikha whenever you like as she is in military hospital but I am afraid that you can't meet captain amit or naina right away.

Raj(frustrated)- And why can't we?

Colonel- Because Captain amit's condition is worse since the morning and doctors are operating on him and about captain naina any of you can meet her but we needed to know what she did and why she did against this country.

Kunal- It's not proven that she did anything against the country so at least don't blame her yet.

Colonel- We have enough proofs to blame her and we are not going to spare her because she commited the crime.

Raj- And according to you, what crime did she commit?

Colonel- She shot captain amit and one of the officers had seen that incident, and Captain Karan who was on the visit is missing due to her and all the ammunities, case work and every single document is missing about the case who she and captain amit were working on. Those documents were last seen with captain naina.

Kunal- But that doesn't mean that she did something wrong, may be she is being trapped.

Colonel- That you have to find out major. Our orders are to keep her into the custody and provide you any thing you want but as I said to you earlier only one of you can introgate her at a time. That's an order from ministry.

Raj- Then I would like to meet her right away.

Colonel- Sure I will make arrangements.

Before colonel can order some one, he got a phone call.

Colonel- Hello.

A person said something and colonel was shocked.

Colonel- What? I will be there.

Kunal- Any problem, sir.

Colonel- I have to rush to the hospital as captain amit's condition is worst.

Kunal & Raj- We are coming with you.

All three of them rushed to the hospital but it was too late.

Doctor came out from ICU room and informed them that they couldn't save captain amit as too much blood had lost from the body. He is no more.

Kunal was crying and even raj had tears in his eyes. Raj just knew amit for two days but still he felt so much pain and kunal was in so much pain as to him amit was like his own brother.

After a while, kunal was little better as he had to be strong to give this news to amit's family, shikha and naina. He didn't have courage to tell naina.

Kunal- Main naina se nahi keh paaonga raj.

Raj- Lekin usko batana to padega na…..

Kunal- Mujhse nahi hoga, mujhe to ye bhi nahi pata ki main shikha ko kaise kahoonga aur karan uska bhi kuch pata nahi.

Raj- You have to be brave kunal. You have to tell shikha before somebody else does. And I will go and tell naina.

Kunal- Theek hai, but naina se kehna hum harange nahi. Hum use zarror bahar nikalenge.

Raj- We will kunal.

Raj asked for permission to meet naina from colonel and colonel gave him the permission as he never could believe that naina shot one of her best friend but he had to follow the rules.

After sometime, raj was accompanied by a guard in a dark room with very little light. Raj could see that it was an introgation room. He never imagined that he would meet love of his life after so many months in that place. But it was a bitter reality. The room was surrounded by cameras as his discussion with naina was about to be tapped. He knew that and he felt stabbed in his heart as even if she will be infront of her, he wouldn't be able to comfort her or share her sorrow. The most difficult thing was telling her about her friend's death one whom she accused of killing and yet she didn't know about it.

He never felt so helpless in his life before. He remembered the promise he made to naina that he never ever let her live in any pain but today he was the one who are going to give her pain by questioning her because of his damn duty. He closed his eyes in the pain and suddenly the door was opened. Naina was brought there with two female guards. Raj opened his eyes to look at her. He saw that there were handcuffs in her hands. He saw that she was looking at him like she found a new ray of hope but he knew it was about to be broken. He was about to break her trust. How could he possibly live with it but it was the only way to save her somehow.

Raj(to guard)- Remove the hand-cuffs.

Guard- But sir?

Raj(shouted)- Now……

Guards removed her hand-cuffs and left the room as raj told them.

Now they both were alone in the room and their eyes were fixed on each other. Raj never saw naina in that condition. Naina had so many brushes on her body which he could clearly see. Her eyes showed so much pain that she felt in past few days. He felt so much pain that he couldn't look at her.

He motioned her to sit down as he knew the information he was about to give will break her.

They sat down in front of each other. Naina was confused by his behavior but she remained quiet.

Raj- Captain Naina singh ahaluwalia, I have to tell you something.

Naina was shocked as raj was calling her formally which he never did before.

Raj couldn't look her into eyes as he didn't have that courage so he continued looking down- Captain Amit is no more in this world. Two hours ago, he died in the operation theatre as he had lost a lot of blood due to his injuries.

After saying this, he looked up at naina to see her reactions. Much to his shock, she didn't have any emotion left in her eyes. No pain, no sorrow, no tears. Nothing.

Raj didn't know what to do. What to tell her? He just gave the news of her best friend's death and it didn't make any difference to her.

Raj asked her about the case gathering courage that it would make difference to her but she remained quiet and didn't answer him anything.

Raj was now frustrated and completely begging- Please, naina tell me something. So I can make this right. You have to understand. Your information is the only source we have to save you and give punishment to amit's murderer.

Naina still didn't say anything and raj knew that she wanted to be alone so he was about to leave when naina spoke.

Naina- Major Rajveer singh shekhawat, nothing will stop me from doing my duty. I know that they are hearing this conversation, so let them hear this too. I already lost my one friend and I am not loosing another. I didn't shoot my friend as I never ever could do that and I am going to prove that nothing will able to stop me from doing that not this jail, not any torture and not the whole army.

Raj turned around and he understood everything what naina wanted to tell him and what she wanted him to do. He just nodded at her, and they understood each other.

Now they had to just take a step to complete the plan that they both thought already.
