PART- 16

 

Recap: Raj calls back to colonel sahay and he confirms that everything in the fax is true. As usual there is another drill of Major Niar and everybody talks about taking revenge while naina makes plan and end up breaking MC's leg-bone in demonstration of the drill. Naina gets a note that somebody knows her secret and she has to meet that person @ the lake. Naina meets the person and he is none other than rajveer. Naina blames rajveer for not helping kunal and she tries to leave after saying so many harsh things but rajveer stops her by holding her hand and they both look @ each other angrily.

 

NOW:

Raj (still holding naina's hand tightly) - I have heard enough!!! I know that you are upset about whatever happened. But don't ever curse my friendship because only I know what I would do for my friends.

Naina was still looking @ him with so much anger and trying to free her hand but raj's grip was too strong.

Raj continued:- You think that I am going to stop you in your mission and I was spying on you then you are wrong naina. I knew about you from colonel sahay and he sent me a fax where he specifically said that you are here on the same mission as I am. Yes naina, I am also here to prove kunal's innocence whether you believe me or not. I couldn't help him back then because I was on another mission and for me my country always comes first just like every other soldier. I know it was navin & neha's fault who didn't trust you and I also tried to talk to them about it but in vain. I tried to find you and kunal when I came back but…………. Anyways please believe me naina, I got orders from colonel sahay that you and I have to meet him tomorrow 10:00 am @ his farm house near army base. Now it's your choice whether you come with me or not.

 

After saying all, raj calmed down a little and looked @ naina (who was also little calm now) for an answer.

Naina- first of all, you should let go of my hand captain.

Raj realized that he was still holding her hand and he leaves her hand.

Raj- I am sorry. Can you tell me whether you are coming or not.

Naina- I think it's too late so I should leave. If colonel sahay wanted this meeting than I will inform him about my decision and he will let you know what ever it is.

After saying that naina left from there, and raj was standing there alone wondering if naina ever would trust him. He didn't know why but naina's hate and anger was making him crazy from inside. He just wanted her to trust him once. He didn't know it was possible or not but he hoped for that.

Next morning, around 7:00 am.

 

Raj was ready as he had to leave by 7:30 am and it was almost two and half hour drive from KMA. He wanted to know if naina was coming with him or not and he also didn't want any of his friends or faculty members to suspect naina or him about this matter, so he told an orderly to call for naina. Meanwhile shalu was going to infirmary and she heard raj talking to orderly about calling naina.

 

Shalini- raj, tumhe naina se kuch kaam tha kya?

Raj- yes, but why did you ask?

Shalini- I hope it wasn't that important because naina is not in the academy.

Raj- what? Where is she?

Shalini- actually, yesterday night somebody called from naina's house around 11:00 pm and said that her uncle is in the hospital and she needed to go for at least two days so Brigadier gave her permission.

Raj(surprised)- but how do you know that?

Shalini- well because brigadier wanted medical report of a senior cadet and I went to gave it to him when all this happened.

Raj- oh all right.

Shalu- are u going somewhere?

Raj- yes, I am actually going to Mumbai for some work.

Shalu- oh I see, did u tell abhi?

Raj- yes he knows and he and Major Niar are going to cover my classes for some time.

Shalu- oh all right then have a nice trip. Bye.

Raj- bye and then he left and on the way he was smiling @ naina's plan of getting out of KMA. He was also sad that she didn't come with him.

Three hours later,

Raj was @ colonel sahay's farmhouse, and he rang door bell.

A servant opened the door, and asked who he is.

Raj- Hello, I am here to meet colonel sahay. My name is captain shekhawat.

Servant- sure sir, he is waiting for you. Please come inside.

Raj came inside and sat on a sofa in the living room.

Colonel sahay came in the living room and Raj got up and saluted him.

Colonel sahay- oh hello captain, please don't be formal.

Raj- ok sir.

Colonel sahay- kya loge captain?

Raj- coffee will be fine.

Colonel told servant to bring four coffees and sat opposite to raj.

(Colonel sahay- C.S.)

C.S.- so captain, any improvement?

Raj- no sir, but you wanted to meet me and…………..

C.S.- yes, naina. She will be here any second.

Raj- oh.

C.S.- I know you are confused captain but I will clarify everything soon.

And he was about say something when somebody entered in the living room.

Raj got up as soon as he saw the person.

Raj- sir aap yahan par?

It was colonel Mehra who was raj's mentor.

(Colonel Mehra- C.M.)

C.M.- yes, captain. Kyon mujhe dekh kar khushi nahi hui?

Raj- no sir absolutely, I am happy to meet you and then he took C.M.'s blessings by touching his feet. (Raj respects Colonel Mehra a lot and treats him like a father after his father's death and C.M. thinks him as his son because he doesn't have kids.)

Colonel Mehra and colonel sahay are old friends.

C.M.- dekha sahay, rajveer sirf mera protge hi nahi, mera beta bhi hai. He is the best son I can ever have.

C.S.- wo to hai. ab tum bhi batho na.

C.M.- are sirf bithayega hi ya chai coffee kuch pilayega?

C.S.- haan maine coffee ke liye bola tha ramu ko pata nahi kya hua.

Ramu brought coffees for them but naina wasn't there yet.

C.M.- so where is naina?

C.S.- well I don't know why she isn't here yet.

And that's when naina entered the house.

Naina- I am sorry sir, I am late.

C.S.- It's ok naina. Come on in.

Naina came in and saluted captain mehra then she turned to colonel sahay, and touched his feet for blessings.

C.S.- are betiyan pair nahi chooti?

Naina- well but aashirvaad to leti hai na?

C.S.- dekha mehra, inse argument mein koi nahi jeet sakta.

C.M.- I know mujhe experience hai jab mein NDA mein inka teacher tha.

C.S.- captain rajveer, aap soch rahe honge ki hum naina ko kaise jante hai right. Actually naina is my protge and his parents, colonel mehra and I are old friends. Is liye is shararti ladki ko mein iske bachpan se janta hoon.

C.M.- well lekin kaafi sharartein tune hi to in ko shikhayi hai.

Naina- wo to hai.

C.S.- well baatein to hoti rahegi lekin we have an important issue to discuss with both of you.

Now everybody got serious when colonel sahay and colonel mehra gave some details to raj and naina.

After their discussion, colonel sahay asked naina.

C.S.- so naina, you don't have any problem in working with captain rajveer right?

Naina- no sir.

C.M.- and what about you raj?

Raj- sir, I don't have any problem either.

C.M.- good hum logo ko tum dono se ye hi ummeed thi. So I suppose you two go right ahead with your plan and if you need anything just ask me or sahay. Best of luck.

Both raj and naina- thank you sir.

Then colonel mehra talked to raj about everybody else, and naina excused her self from there. Colonel sahay also excused himself leaving raj and colonel mehra alone to talk.

 

Naina was outside of the house and colonel sahay came there.

C.S.- naina?

Naina- yes sir.

C.S.- I am sorry.

Naina- for what sir?

C.S.- I know that you never wanted anybody @ KMA know about you and I had to tell rajveer because this case got little complicated and after all I think both of you need each other's help. Colonel mehra and I thought a lot before we informed to captain rajveer about you.

Naina- so you really told him about me and he didn't know anything before that.

C.S.- yes.

Naina- oh my god, I made a terrible mistake.

C.S.- what?

Naina- I told captain rajveer that he was spying on me and a lot other things.

C.S.- naina? Why didn't you call me if you had any doubt?

Naina- I am sorry. I should have.

C.S.- It's ok, but listen as much as this mission is important to you its success is also important for our country's safety, so I want both of you to work on it together with trust.

Naina- I got it sir.

C.S.- and naina, don't worry everything will be ok.

Naina- I know.

 

After an hour, both raj and naina left from the farm house and this time they were together in raj's car because colonel sahay insisted as he wanted naina and raj to trust each other for that mission and he thought that the trip will give them some time alone to work out their problems.
