Chapter 22
Here is the next update....
In the evening, after the party, Ritu had left with Abhi, Nandini, Aditi and Karan. Aalekh, Huda and Ali left as Ali was staying at Aalekh's place.Vidya and Gunny went to their room as well as Pooja and Shikha.
Raj saw that Khushi had fallen sleep in his lap so he decided to take her up to the room. Naina was on the terrace and she was looking up in the sky. She didn't realize when Raj came up and stood beside her.
Raj- Naina?
Naina- Tum kab aaye?
Raj- Jab tum gehri soch main thi. Kya soch rahi ho?
Naina- Kuch bhi nahi...
Raj-Agar tum nahi batana chahti to main nahi poochonga...
Naina- Zindagi ke beete din ke bare main soch rahi thi... aaj mama, papa aur Naveen bhaiya ki bahut yaad aa rahi hai... Kaash aaj wo yahan pe hote...
Raj- Agar aaj wo yahan hote to tum he dukhi dekh kar wo bhi dukhi ho jate... Janti ho Naveen hamesha tumhe haste hue dekhana chahta tha. Aur tum us ko ro kar yaad kar rahi ho?
Naina looked at him and then smiled.
Raj(smiled)- That's like my Naina. Pata hai naina, maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki meri zindagi main kabhi phir se khushiyan lautegi. Jab se tum meri zindagi se gayee tab se jaise main jeena bhul gaya tha lekin ab tumne mujhe jeene ke liye do wajah di. Ek tum aur doosri hamari beti... Aur ab main tum se vaada karta hoon ki main tumhe kabhi akela nahi hone doonga... Hum hamesha apni zindagi saath bitayenge. Ab sirf maut hi ham ko alag kar sakti hai.
Naina put her hand on his lips.
Naina- Raj, phir kabhi maut ki baat mat karna. Main ab tumhe khona nahi chahti. I love you Raj...
She hugged him and he hugged her back. They remain in each other's embrace for a long time as none of them wanted to be apart from each other.
After some time, Raj felt Naina's shiver because of cold so he separated himself from the hug.
Raj- Hum ko neeche chalna chahiye warna tum he thand lag jayegi.
Naina- Haan raat bhi bahut ho chuki hai. I have a lot of work tomorrow...
Raj- Work? Kal tumhe kaun sa kaam hai?
Naina- Gunny and I have to go to head quarters tomorrow about the new posting. Tum bhi aa rahe ho na... Meeting hai...
Raj- I can't come as I have to go to court tomorrow.
Naina- Oh... but what about the meeting?
Raj- Abhi attend kar lega...
Naina- Ok.
They both came downstairs and Naina was going to sleep with Khushi so she wished Raj good night and about to leave for the room when Raj held her hand. She looked back at him with confusion.
Naina- Raj, kya hua? Haath chodo. Mujhe sona hai.
Raj- Haan lekin mujhe 'good night' to wish karo pehle.
Naina- Abhi maine kaha to sahi...
Raj- Lekin aise nahi.
Naina-To kaise?
Raj looked at her naughtily and Naina understood his intension so she tried to remove her hand from his grip but it was too tight.
Raj- Main hi demonstration de deta hoon...
Naina- It's okay Raj. Waise bhi do baar good night wish karna zaroori nahi. Maine ek baar kar diya na... Aaj is se hi kaam chala lo.
Raj didn't listen to her and kept coming close. Naina's face showed that she was enjoying this and she really wanted the same thing.
Raj was an inch apart from her and he was about to close the distance but he stopped and looked in her eyes for the consent and finding it, he closed the distance by putting his lips on hers. As their kiss deepen, they felt the same passion, same intensity of love for each other after almost six years.
After it seemed like eternity, Raj broke the kiss and found Naina's cheeks red from blush. He smiled cutely at her and then kissed her forehead and whispered 'good night' to her.
She smiled and left from there. Raj just stood there until he heard the door closing behind him and he just went up to his room and went to sleep remembering the kiss they just shared...
The next morning, everyone was at break fast table waiting for breakfast except Raj and Gunny as they offered to make breakfast.
Vidya- Yaar, I am so hungry aur ye log abhi tak naasta nahi laye...
Naina- Mujhe to lagta hai in logo ne kuch nahi banaya ab tak. Hum ko aaj bahar hi jana padega...
Pooja- Main dekh ke aaon?
Shikha- Bhaiya ne mana kiya hai ki koi andar nahi jayega jab tak wo naasta nahi late.
Vidya- Lekin hum hamare nanhe jasoos ko to bhej sakte hai na...
Shikha- Main samjhi nahi...
Khushi- Bua, wo meri baat kar rahi hai... Main hamesha Ali chachu aur Gunny uncle pe spying karti hoon jab wo kitchen main hote hai...
Naina- To ab aap ja kar dekhiye ke aap ke papa aur Gunny uncle kya kar rahe hai...
Khushi went up to kitchen while all ladies laughed. Khushi came back in a minute and looked at them.
Vidya- To kya khabar hai?
But before Khushi can answer, Gunny and Raj came out with breakfast.
Raj- breakfast is ready...
They served plates but no one started eating.
Gunny- Are yaar koi kha kyon nahi raha...
Pooja- Wo jiju baat ye hai ki, hum pichle wala dinner incident ab tak yaad hai is liye thoda darr rahe hai.
Naina & Vidya laughed while Gunny had annoyed look...
Raj- Lekin is baar maine iski help ki hai...
Shikha-Is baat ka aur bhi darr hai kyonki aap jab bhi khana banate hai, kitchen saaf karte karte do din lag jate hai...
Raj(annoyed)- Theek hai hamari koi kadar nahi to mat khao... chal Gunny yahan se...
Khushi- Lekin papa, maine to mana nahi kiya aur mujhe to bahut bhookh lagi hai...
Raj and Gunny smiled at her and served her the breakfast.
Khushi took her first bite and told everyone that it was delicious. So everyone else tried it and it really was delicious. They praised both Raj and Gunny while Khushi was smiling. Naina noticed that and whispered something in her ears.
Vidya- so khushi, will you tell us the truth?
Khushi- Papa ne aur uncle ne naasta bahar se mangwaya hai. I saw them taking the delivery and paying bill.
Raj and Gunny looked at her with shock while others were laughing.
Raj- To is liye aap ne naasta try kiya tha madam?
Khushi (cutely)- sorry but aap ne bhi to cheating ki papa?
Raj- Ye bhi baat hai.
After the breakfast, Raj had left for the court promising Khushi that he will be back soon while Gunny and Naina left for the head quarters.

At the court house:
Ritu was waiting for Raj. Raj went up to her and they both silently walked to the lawyer's office.
Raj- Ritu, are u sure?
Ritu- Yes I am Raj...
Raj- Ok...
Inside the office, the lawyer gave them divorce papers and necessary documents which stated that they were separating by mutual decision.
After they signed the papers, Raj told Ritu to come back to the house but Ritu refused saying that she was here for only two weeks until procedure and then she wanted to go to hospital in Pune and do some good community work at last stage of her life.
Raj - I understand... I will see you tonight at Abhi's place. As we are having dinner there tonight.
Ritu- Okay...
At head quarters:
Brigadier sahay had called for the meeting as he wanted to transfer Gunny and Naina there along with Ali.
Brigadier sahay- Colonel Randhawa and Major Singh, your orders are here. After your mission in Punjab, it was decided that the same team who work in Punjab will work in Mumbai now. You both are going to work with Colonel chauhan and Colonel shekhawat. We have many cases regarding drug dealers and many other crime cases that can link to people who are associated with national threat. I hope you are ready to work in different environment.
Gunny- We are sir, but we still have three week vacation left, Right?
Brigadier- Yes colonel because we don't have any new case on hand so enjoy your vacation...
Gunny- Thank you sir...
They were about to leave when Brigadier held Naina back so Abhi took Gunny with him to show around.
Brigadier- Naina, when you had requested to work part time for the army, I was shocked but yesterday after meeting your daughter, I understood that you want to fulfill your responsibility toward your family. I am proud and glad that you just didn't leave army like some officers do when they have family.
Naina- Sir, army is in my blood. My dad and My brother were in army. I will always be an army officer and I will work full time again when any case needs my attention until then I want to take a little break.
Briagdier- That's good. Best of luck...
Naina- Thank you sir...
When Naina came outside, she bumped into Aalekh, Huda, Ali and Aditi. They were very happy as now they were going to work together.
Naina- You guys are here. Why?
Ali- Wo three weeks vacation sirf aap ko, Raj sir ko aur Gunny sir ko hi mila hai. Hum logo ko aur Abhi sir ko sirf char din ki chutti milegi aap ki shaadi ke waqt...
Abhi- Yeah that's too bad... I just found out so I am here for now. You guys go ahead, and we will see you in the evening.

Gunny and Naina left after the lunch and when they got back, Raj was already back. He, Vidya and Khushi were in the hall while Pooja had gone to her law office and Shikha had gone to the army hospital.
Vidya was talking to her mom about something and Raj was teaching Khushi how to play piano and Khushi was enjoying it.
Gunny and Naina went to freshen up. Naina took Khushi with her because it was time for her afternoon nap.
Naina had come down after sometime where Gunny, Vidya and Raj were discussing something.
Naina- Kya discussion chal raha hai?
Gunny- Are main in logo ko hum ne jo house dekha uske bare main bata raha tha...
Vidya- Naina, tum ne ghar dekha hai na... Kaisa laga?
Naina-It's really nice... Aur yahan se sirf paanch minute ki doori pe hai.
Vidya- Waise aaj mama ka phone aaya tha... wo do hafte ke baad god bharayi ki rasam karna chahti hai...
Naina- Ok then, we will get everything ready...
Gunny- We will see you in the evening at Abhi's house as I have to take Vidya for her appointment.
Naina- Sure, bye...
Raj- Bye...
After they left, Naina went to the kitchen to prepare some tea for both of them. Raj also followed her. He sat on the counter while Naina was making the tea. He was silent thinking about something.
Naina- Kya soch rahe ho Raj?
Raj- Wo aaj vidya ne bataya na god bharayi ki rasam ke bare main, bas wo hi... Kya tumhari bhi? I mean...
Naina- Haan Raj, Vidya ki mama ne meri bhi god bharayi ki rasam ki thi. Bilkul usi tarah jaise maine socha tha...
Raj- Mujhe har waqt afsos rahega ki main aise kai choti choti khushiyon main tumhare saath nahi rah paaya...
Naina- Apne aap ko dosh mat do Raj? It was destiny...waise tumhe pata hai God bharayi ki meri gift jo mujhe tum se milni chahiye thi wo due hai...Bolo kab doge?
Raj smiled at her and then said- Bahut jald.... It will be a surprise for you.
They both drank their tea while talking about their day. Raj had told her about his divorce procedure and Naina had told him about new cases.

In the evening, they had gone to Abhi's house where everyone enjoyed the nice dinner. Four days passed in the same matter. Raj and Ritu's divorce had been sanctioned and now Raj was free to get married to Naina.
Raj had given notice in the court for his marriage with Naina. They were getting married after five days, and then they were going to hold a simple ceremony in nearby temple for traditional marriage.
Vidya's baby shower was held the next day after their marriage so Vidya's parents were there too. Ali's parents had come there too because they wanted to talk to Pooja and Vidya's parents for Pooja and Ali's engagement.
Vidya's parents always considered Naina as their daughter after her parents' death and Khushi as their grand daughter. They were happy to meet Raj and they had given their blessings to him.
Although their wedding was going to be simple, they all wanted traditional mehndi ceremony so they held small function. Everyone enjoyed the function.

Naina had moved to Gunny's house before Mehndi ceremony. The night before the wedding, Shikha came to meet Naina.
Naina- Are shikha, tum aao na...
Shikha- Pata hai jab se aap ko aur Bhaiya ko KMA main dekhthi thi ek saath, tab se sirf aap ko hi maine bhabhi mana tha... wo sapna shayad aaj six year baad pura ho raha hai lekin main aaj bahut Khush hoon... Aap ke aur Bhaiya ke liye... Aur is liye main ye aap ke liye le kar aayee hoon.
She handed a bag to her.
Naina- Ye kya hai?
Shikha- Khol ke dekh lijiye...
Naina opened the bag and was surprised to see the contents in the bag.
Naina- Shikha ye?
Shikha- Ma ke hai. wo chahti thi ki ye jewelery unki bahu pehne. Bade armaan se banwaye the unhone. Aur jab aap ka shaadi ka joda dekha tab socha ki ye us ke saath suit bhi honge. But agar aap ye pehnana na chahe to koi baat nahi. Sirf apne paas rakh lijiye.
Naina- Nahi Shikha, ye ma ke blessing hai. Main inko kal zaroor pehnugi. Thank you.
Shikha- Aap ko thanks kehne ki zarrorat nahi.

The next morning, Raj was really happy and excited and so was Naina. After all these years, their dream was about to be fulfilled. Raj was wearing maroon and white colored sherwani and he was looking very handsome. They had reached the temple at 10:00 am. The lawyer was already there too. Raj saw Naina coming in maroon and white lehnga which match his outfit. She was looking very beautiful and when he saw the jewelry she was wearing, he looked at Shikha with surprise.
Shikha- Ma ka sapna main kaise bhul sakti thi Bhaiya? Bhabhi bahut achi lag rahi hai aaj...
Raj- Thanks Shikha. main to bhul hi gaya tha.
Soon the wedding ceremony was began. Vidya's parents did kanyadaan ceremony. Raj held Naina's hand tightly, vowing that now he had taken it, he will never let it go.
The rest of the ceremony completed perfectly. After the ceremony, they took blessings from the God idols and elders. They hugged their friends. Ritu was present at the ceremony too and she was genuiely happy for them. She congratulated them for their happy life and left from there. Khushi was really happy today. She was going to live with her mom and dad from now on and she wanted that anything else.
Raj and Naina had signed necessary papers after the ceremony and then all of them left for Raj's house.
Nandini welcomed Naina officially in Raj's house with traditional ceremony. All of them were very happy. The rest of the day was passed quickly as they all just stayed there talking to each other and enjoying time with each other. In the evening, everyone left to their house.

Wonderful update.... Raj and naina are both thankful that life has given them one more chance to live their life together...they had both given up hope that this joy would ever return in their lives...and to top it they now have their daughter khushi, who they love more than anything in the world. It was very cute when khushi opens raj and gunnys pole....by spying on them only to find out that they had order the food from outside... Ritu has changed completely....she makes sure that the divorce comes through quickly so that raj and naina can get married....She even wants to go and do charity work in pune.. Gunny, Abhi Raj and naina would all be working together,,,their new postings have been confirmed...this is great news for all of them Gunny and vidya have also bought their new house in Mumbai so that they can stay close to their friends... It is good that naina and raj finally get married....they know that nothing can seperate them in life.... Raj feels guilty for not being there with naina earlier...but is thankful that Gunny and vidya were there with her like a family... awesome ud. To ab Raj aur Naina ne finally apni life vapas theek se jeena start kar diya. I am happy for the trio. Raj ko abhi bhi lagta hai ki vo Naina k paas nahi tha jab us ki sab se jyada jaroorat thi Naina ko par ab humesha rahenge dono saath aur ab to posting bhi ho gayi hai yahin pe. Khushi ne finally apne dad aur Gunny ki pole khol hi di sab k saamne ki naashta unhone nahi banaya balki mangaya hai. Naina aur Raj ne shaadi kar k apne rishte ko humesha k liye atoot bandhan me baandh liya bhale hi 6 saal baad. very nice ud dear... to finally reetu badal hi gayi...aur raj- naina ki shaadi bhi usi ki wajah se ho rahi hai...!!! mujhe raj aur khushi k scenes jyada achhe lage...!!! raj aur naina phir se 6 saal baad ek hone ja rahe hain...aur vo dono ab sath me hi mission me honge...!!! too gud...dear... cont soon.
