Part 4

 

In the guest house: (Next day)

Armaan, Ridhima, Atul, Anjali, Rahul, Muskaan came to guest house early today because they didn't have much work in the hospital. The boys suggested that they should go out for a move, while the girls wanted to stay back as they were tired of yesterday's party (remember they did some arrangements for the party also especially ridhima). After so much discussion girls agreed to watch the movie but insisted they will watch any old movie in the house itself. Poor boys agreed to it as they did not have any other option. After having their dinner, the boys and girls were ready to watch the movie. After a lot of discussion they decided to watch "Dil Chata Hai" movie. (This is my all time favorite movie, I love Aamir Khan and one you will know one more reason why I put this movie as u read further. I hope all of u watched this movie and I  hope you don't mind me using it here.)

The girls arranged the eatables(like popcorn, chips, kukure etc, and cool drinks), while the boys put the movie and set the sofa and chairs to sit and watch the movie. (This is typical Indian style of watching movie, at least according to me. So plz don't upset if u don't like this. If you don't like my idea you can simply think that they are just sitting and watching movie without eating stuff.) They are sitting in the living room and watching the movie. Anjali, muskaan, ridhima are sitting in the sofa and eating popcorn, while Armaan, Atul, Rahul were having cool drinks.

The song Dil Chata Hai is played. Atul says that they (Armaan, Atul, Rahul) are good friends like aamir , sif, Akshaye Khanna. Armaan says that they are more good friends than them in the movie. Muskaan shouts at them to stop talking and watch the movie as they are disturbing them. Rahul says muskaan that her popcorn eating sound is much louder and asks her to first stop eating popcorn. She hits rahul with popcorn. Rahul catches the popcorn and throws them back at muskaan(popcorn fight). Atul says " why r u wasting popcorn? Cant u fight without wasting popcorn?? "

Armaan : champ, ye dono lad rahe hai aur tumko popcorn ki fikar horaha hai?? kya yehi tumhara dosti hai(acting)

Atul : sorry armaan.

 Armaan, Atul stop Rahul, while ridhima and anjali stop muskaan and once again everyone are busy watching the movie.

Atul cries  when aamir & Akshaye fight and Aamir khan leaves. Anjali gives him tissues, Atul says 'thank u Anjali". Armaan and Rahul finally succeed in making atul stop crying.

Finally the most awaited scene (the play in theater) comes. (I hope everyone watched this movie and remember this scene.)  the CD ends after this scene and they have to put the next CD. Armaan goes to change the CD, while Atul asks everyone to close their eyes and think about the person for whom they can die 100 deaths just to spend one day with them. All of them agree except armaan and ridhima(u know the reason). Now lets see what they see when they close their eyes.

Atul : sees anjali watering all the plants(trina,maya..so on')

Rahul : sees muskaan, but he is not shocked as he already knew that he loves muskaan.

Muskaan : sees Rahul and is shocked.  She thinks why she saw him. She cuts her thoughts thinking that as they fight for most of the time she saw him. But in corner of her heart she thinks, may be I love him.

Anjali : sees some blured image of a person with a plant but cannot understand who it is. She thinks may be it is atul, but then thinks it is not atul as he is not her type.

By this time rmaan changed the CD. "Tanhayee" song is being played. Armaan and Ridhima have tears in their eyes remembering about their break up, but no one notices it as they are busy watching the movie. Ridhima gets up to leave saying that she is feeling sleepy and she is going to sleep. She goes to the teras. Armaan knows why she left and thinks to go and have a talk with her. Seeing that everyone are busy watching the movie, he goes to the teras to talk with Ridhima.

 

Lets see what is happening on teras :

Ridhima is crying.

Armaan : (slowly comes and puts his hand on Ridhima)

She wipes her tears so that Armaan doesn't see, but still her eyes are red, filled with tears. Armaan is also in the same condition, but he thinks that it is high time that he should talk with Ridhima about what he feels. With that determination he says "ridhima"

Ridhima : Armaan plz, chale javo.

Armaan : Ridhima plz, ek baar mere aankho me dekho.

Ridhima doesn't want to look into Armaan's eyes for the fear of getting lost in them. But Armaan slowly turns Ridhima and makes her to look into his eyes.

Armaan : Ridhima, aaj mai tum se kuch bath karna chata hoon.

Ridhima sees Armaan and understands what he wants to talk about. She again turns back. (Now Ridhima's back facing Armaan)

Ridhima : Armaan plz. I don't want to talk anything about it.

Armaan comes in front of Ridhima and holds her hands tightly saying

Armaan : no Ridhima, today we have to talk.

Ridhima : Armaan, I wrote whatever we had to talk in that letter. Now nothing is left to talk about it. And after that we decided to be like good friends right? Then why are you again talking about it?

Armaan : Ridhima tumne letter me ye baath bataya ki hum dono alag alag log hai aur hamara rasta bhi alag alag hai. lekin iska ye matlab nahi hai ki hum dono eksath nahi rehsakthe. Hum ekdoosre se alag hokar bhi eksaath rehsakthe hai. aur yahi bath samjhane ke liye mai tumse dosti ka kadam badhaya hai. varna ye baath tumbhi achi tarah se janthi ho aur maibhi ki hum dono kabhi sirf dost nahi rehsakthe.

Ridhima : Plz leave me alone.

Armaan : KASH ME TUMKO CHOD SAKTA. KASH MAI TUMHE BHOOL SAKTA. KASH MAI TUMSE DOOR REH SAKTA. PAR AFSOS MAI YE NAHI KARSAKTA RIDHIMA. I STILL LOVE YOU. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?? I LOVE YOU AND I KNOW YOU ALSO STILL LOVE ME.

Armaan takes Ridhima's hand and puts on his head.

 Armaan : Ridhima tum meri kasamkhakar kaho ki tum abhi mujhse pyar karthe ho ya nahi.

Ridhima tries to take her hand back, but Armaan's grip is very strong.  

Armaan : bolo Ridhima

Ridhima : ha, mai abhi bhi tumse pyar karthi hoon Armaan.

Armaan : then why are you doing this to me Ridhima?? WHY?? WHY??

Ridhima : Kyunki saath rehne keliye sirf pyar hi kafi nahi hai Armaan. Aur hum ekdoosre se bilkul alag hai. The way we think, the way we look at things, the way we react to situations, the way we live, everything is different from each other. Isiliye hum jab bhi saath rehthe hai, hamare jhagda hote hai. Humdone ekdoosre ke saath kabhi kush nahi rehpaye na hi kabhi rehsakthe. Isiliye mene socha hai ki hum alag hona hi hamareliye behtar hoga.

Armaan : Ridhima, it is you who always fight. I never fight. You always fight even for small things.

Ridhima : Armaan, yahi tumhara problem hai. You always do mistakes and you never accept your mistakes.

Armaan : Ha, ek mai hi hoon, jo hamesha galtiya kartha rehtha hoon. Aur jo tum har wakt mujhe ye karo, ye mat karo, lecture dete rehthe ho, vo kuch nahi?

Ridhima : wahi to mai tuhe samjhana chathi hoon Armaan. Jo baate mujhe pasand hai, vo baate to tumhe pasand nahi, aur jo baate tumhe pasand hai, vo baate mujhe pasand nahi. Isiliye ekdoosre se alag rehkar hi khush rehsakthe hai.

Armaan is angry now as Ridhima is still saying the same thing that they cannot be together. He wants to make Ridhima realize that it is all her mistake to think that they cannot be together.

Armaan : "HUM SAATH NAHI REH SAKTHE, HAME ALAG REHNA CHAHIYE"  YE KEHNA TUHARE LIYE KITNA AASAAN HAI NA?? KYU NAHI HOGA?? KABHI  BHI  TUMNE  MUJHE  SACHA  PYAAR  KIYA  HI  NAHI.  ISILIYE  TO  ITNA  AASAANI  SE  YE  SAB  KEH  SAKTHI  HO.  PYAAR  KYA  HOTA  HAI  YE  MUJH  SE  PUCHO.  MAINE  TO  HAMESHA  TUHARI  GALTIYA  MAAF  KARTHA  AAYA HOON. LEKIN  TUM  TO  MUJHE WO GATLI  KA SAZA DE RAHE HO, JO GALTI  MAINE  KIYA  HI  NAHI.

Ridhima how is listening to all this now thinks that it is time for her to make Armaan understand his mistakes.

Ridhima : ENOUGH ARMAAN, ENOUGH. TUMHE KYA LAGTA HAI ' TUMNE KOI GALTI NAHI KI?? GALTIYE TUM KARTHE THE ARMAAN, AUR MAI TUMHE HAR BAAR MAAF KARTHI AAYI HOON KYONKI MAI TUMSE PYAAR KARTHI THI. AUR TUM MUJHE HI KEHRAHE HO KI MAINE GALTI KI??

Ridhima crying.

Ridhima : ha Armaan, tumhara koi galti nahi hai, sab galtiya to maine kiya. Di ke saath bet lagana tuhara koi galti nahi hai, Galti meri thi ki maine us bet ke baad bhi tumse pyar kiya. Aur tum kehthe ho ki maine tumse sacha pyaar nahi kiya??

Armaan : Ridhima, wo bet purani bath hai.

Ridhima : mujhe kehne do Armaan

Ridhima : muskaan ke saath uske boyfriend banke jana tumhara koi galti nahi hai?? aur jab maine tumhe ye samjha ne ki kosish kiya ki ustarah kike saath uske boyfriend banke jana galat hai, tub tumne mujhe hi galat kehdiya???

Armaan : Ridhima, mai to sirf muskaan ka madat karaha tha. Kya tumko mujh pe vishvas(trust) nahi hai?

Ridhima : koi kisi ka madat istarah se nahi kartha hai Armaan. Baath vishvas(trust) ka nahi hai. Baath sahi aur galat ka hai. Agar mai rahul se sirf baath karthi hoon, to tum mujh se naarez hote the. Mujhe ek baath batavo Armaan ' agar mai isi tarah rahul ke madat karne keliye uski girlfriend banke uske saath uske ghar javungi to tumhe kisa lagta hai????

Armaan is shocked to hear this. He is very angry. He never thought this way.

Ridhima : Dekho Armaan, mai sirf kehne se tumhe itna gussa aaya hai. Jub tumne Muskaan ke saath patyala gaya tha, aur mujhe iski bare me kisi aur se pata chala tub mujhe kisa laga hoga?? Kya tumne kabhi ye socha bhi hai??

Armaan till now thought that he was right and Ridhima was wrong in judging him, but for the first time he came to know Ridhima's point of view.

Ridhima : Armaan aur agar mai gusse me tumhe kuch keh diya to tum mujhe choodkar chalegaye?? Ye bhi nahi socha ki agar us wakt tum mujhe chodkar chalejathe ho to mujh par kya beet thi hai??? tumne mujhe us wakt choodkar the jis wakt mujhe tumhara saath aur pyaar ka subse zyada zarurath thi. Muskaan ke saath jaakar galti to tumne kiya aur, saza?? mujhse door jaake saza bhi mujhe hi diya??

Armaan : Maine to tumse door jake apne aap ko saza deraha tha Ridhima

Ridhima : Armaan tum to ye maan ne keliye tayar(ready to accept) hi nahi the ki tumne muskaan ke saath patyala jaakar galati kiya.

Armaan : Ridhima, tumne bhi to ye accept nahi kiya ki tune mujhe gusse me kuch zayada hi suna diya??

Ridhima : To mai kya karu Armaan?? Jab tum mujhe chood kar chalegaye the, tub maine tumhe bahut miss kiya. Tuhe kya pata mai kitna royi thi?? Mai to saas(breath) le rahi thi par jee nahirahi thi. Jab mujhe ye pata chala kit um kasuli me the, Maine akeli tumhare liye kasuli tak aayi. Par tum apne gusse me itna uljhe hue ho ki tumne mujhe gale lagane ke bajai chalejane ko kaha. Aur pehli baar tumne hi to kaha tha ki ab hamare beech mai kuch nahi hai

Armaan : Maine vo gusse me keh diya kyunki jab maine tumhe kiss karne ke kosish kiya,  tum ne ye kaha ki abtak tumhe hamara pyaar par pura bharosa nahi hai.

Ridhima : Armaan, tab mai tumhare harkato se pareshan thi. Jab mujhe muskaan ke baare me pata chala tub mai gussa thi, jab tumne mujhe choodkar kasuli chale gaye the tub mai bahut dar gayi thi, toot gayi thi, aur jab mai kasuli aayi aur tumne mujhe accept nahi kiya aur mujhe chali jane ko kaha, mujhe bahut bura laga. Aur mujhe laga ki hamara rista abtak mazboot (strong) nahi hai. Mujhe laga tha ki hume ekdoosre ko samajh kar hamare pyaar ki rista ko aurbhi mazbooth (strong) banane ki zarurath hi. Par tumne to hamara rista hi tod diya.

Armaan : ye kya baath hue Ridhima, mere sab galti galti aur tumhara sab galtiya maaf?? Agar mai gusse me tumse ye kaha ki ab hamare beech me kuch nahi hai to tum ne kya kiya?? Jab mai tumhara paas aane ki kosish kartha hoon tab tum mujh se door bhagthi ho. Aur jab mai tumse door jane ki kosish kartha hoon tab tum mere peche peche aate ho?? Aur jab mai phirse tumhare kareeb aane ki kosish karthe hoon, tum phirse mujhe hurt kake door chalejathe ho???? Jab maine tumhe choodkar kasuli chalegaya, tum mere peche piche aagaye. Jab pustini kada tut gaya aur tumne mujh se ye kaha ki ab hamare beech mai kuch nahi hai, maine bhi sochliya tha ki ab hamare beech kuch nahi hosakta. Par tum ne holi ke din ye kaha ki ab bhi tum mujhse pyaar karthe ho. Mai bahut kush hogaya tha. Aur agle din tum mujh se kaha ki tum mujhse kehte ho ki tumne ye nahi kaha?? Tum chate kya ho Ridhima??????

Ridhima is shocked to hear this. For the first time she understands that she is confused about what she wants to do.

Armaan : Ridhima, holi ke din jab tumne ye kaha ki tum mujhse bahut pyaar karthe ho aur tum mere bina jee nahi sakthi ho, mai bahut kush tha. Mujhe aise laga tha ki mujhe mera pyaar wapas mil gaya. Par tum ne mujh par bhang lane ka ilzam lagaya tha. Mai chahu to tumhare papa se ye keh saktha tha ki tumne jhoot kaha aur maine bhang nahi laya tha. Par maine aisa nahi kaha kyonki mai tumse pyaar kartha tha. Aur mai nahi chata tha ki tumhare papa ko ye patachale ki tumne bina soche samjhe mujhpar lizam lagaya.

Maine bhang nahi laya tha Ridhima. Par tum to mere baath suna hi nahi.

Ridhima : I am sorry Armaan. I thought it was u who brought bhang. I am very sorry.

Armaan : Ridhima, ab sorry kehne se kya hoga? Jo honatha vo to hogaya. I was hurt not because you complained against me, but I was hurt because you didn't even think there is a need to ask me about the matter before reporting it. This is your problem Ridhima. You jump into conclusions before listening others point of view.

Ridhima remembers the situations in which she jumped into conclusions about Armaan without listening into his point of view (the maya episode, the pager scene, and bhang episode). She realizes that she was also at fault in judging Armaan. (I hope you remember the scenes I mentioned. This part is becoming too long, so I am not going into the details of the scenes I mentioned. If you don't remember the scenes, PM me or mention it while writing your comments and I will clear your doubts.)

Armaan : Ridhima tum soch bhi nahi sakthi ho mujhe kisa lage jab, holi ke din ke baad tumne mujhse ye kaha ki tum mujhse pyaar nahi karthe ho. Mai bahut toot gaya tha. Mujhe kaam par dhayan nahi rehtha tha, aur tum chathe the ki mai normal hojavu?? Dard bhi tum dete ho aur chate ho ki mai muskuravu?? Dil toote aur aasu na aaye?? Ye kisa hosakta hai ridhima??? Tumhe kya laga Ridhima? Tumhare stupid games(bike race, fighting, BB, gulami) se mai kush tha?? Mai to kush hone ka acting karke apne aasuon (tears) ko chiparaha(hide). Par mai ek bath se kush tha. Mujhe ye pata chala tha ki tum mujhse pyaar kathe ho lekin accept nahi karthe ho. When I read your letter I understood the reason why you didn't accept that you still loved me.

Ridhima feels that she made a mistake by behaving in such a way with Armaan. Till now she thought that whatever she was doing is right and she that she was doing this to make Armaan happy. But now she understood that she only hurt him more with her actions.

 

For the first time Armaan and Ridhima tried to think in others point of view. Till now they thought that the other was at fault. Today they could recognize that it was the fault of both of them. But there are still some more difference of opinions and they still have different point of views in some matters.

 

Ridhima : Armaan, I am sorry. Till now I thought that I was right and you were wrong. But I never tried to look into things in your point of view. But now I came to know that both I and u are at fault. Both of us are right in our own way and also wrong in our own way. I think we need time to sort out the differences existing between us and understand the relationship between us in a better way.

Armaan : I am also sorry Ridhima. You are right. Both of us have done mistakes. Both of us did things which hurt both of us. I always thought that I was the only one hurt by you always and you never felt the pain. I was wrong Ridhima. Now I understood that I was also equally responsible for your pain and the most important thing is we were experiencing the pain which was never necessary. We had to bear all the pain just because our relationship was not strong and we never understood each other completely.

Ridhima : Armaan, I think we should give each other space and first try and understand ourselves and what we feel. Only then we can understand each other in a better way.

Armaan : You are right Ridhima. We should first try and understand ourselves better. I always thought we can never be just friends, but now I want to start our relation from being just friends. I want u to forget everything and start our relation with friendship again. I think this is the best way to understand eachother.

Ridhima : Ok. Friendship is the first step in love. But we started it the other way round. So lets start our relation again from the first step ' fiendship.

 

Armaan, Ridhima shake hands and go to their respective rooms to sleep.

 

After many days infact after many months Armaan, Ridhima are clear with their thoughts. Their heart is light and they could understand eachother or atleast tried to understand eachother. They could sleep peacefully after many days.

 

Let's hope their relation progresses in a proper way at least this time.
