     Saying that Kripa threw her lunch away and left the cafeteria. Now, she noticed people staring her way and whispering at each other. Oh great she thought, gossip of the day: Kripa Sharma does not have a date for the winter dance. She could imagine headlines of the monthly newspaper: The most popular girl at school: dateless. But she knew that would never happen. People weren't that mean, were they? Kripa went to her class and looked around with a surge of hope. To her disappointment, Angad was still not here. It is not as if she really was expecting him to be there. But she had a teensy bit of hope. She grumpily sat down in her seat and paid attention to the physics professor who had just entered.

     Angad had woke up late again and was heading off to school when his cell rang. He looked at the screen and the name flashed: Love of My Life. He smiled and picked it up.

Angad- Hey Sweetheart
Person on other line: Hello, is this Angad Khanna?
Angad frowned, "yes it is, and who are you?"
Person- "Hi, my name is Mr. Saxena and I am your grandma's neighbor."
Angad-worriedly-, "oh, is she all right?"
Mr. Saxena- "No, actually Mr. Khanna, your grandmother is very sick, I took her to the hospital, and they want to talk to a relative, I found your num-'
Angad-cutting him off-"I'll be right there! What hospital?"
Mr. Saxena- "Henry Ford Hospital"
Angad without replying shut the phone and sprinted down the stairs. His mom tried stopping him,

Naina- "Angad, beta, where are you going in such a hurry?"
Angad- "Mom, I am going to Michigan" he said it very fast and went out to his car.
Naina stood there confused. Why was he going to Michigan all of a sudden, he should be at school. I hope everything is all right there she thought.

     Angad drove super fast in his car. He was close to his dadi, he loved her, told her everything. But as far as he knew she was in perfect health and didn't have any medical problems. If she had been, sick, he would have known, she would have told him. He sighed and drove. He was driving above the speed limit and suddenly a squad car came from behind him. "Oh crap" he thought. He pulled over and the cop got out.

He came to his window, "Sir, is there any problem you were driving past the speed limit"
Angad- "oh I m sorry I didn't realize it, my grandma is in the hospital, I need to be there, it's a matter of life and death."
The officer looked at the dry tears on Angad's face and the pleading look in his eyes and sighed. "Okay, but please be careful next time, and I will escort you there."
Angad- "thank you very much."
The officer escorted him there, and he finally reached the hospital after a couple of hours.
He went to the reception, found the room number and ran up to talk to the doctor. He reached the cabin and knocked.

A voice from the inside, "Come in!" He went in and the doctor looked up, "Angad?!"
"Sean?" Angad replied, just as shocked, "What are you doing here?"
Sean- "Well, I am a doctor, what are you doing here?
Angad- "Oh, my grandma is sick, she got admitted a few hours ago…is she allright/"
Sean- "Why don't you take a seat, "
He motioned to a chairand Angad sat down, facing him.
He continued, "I am attending her; she had a minor asthma attack."
Angad- "She had asthma?"
Sean, "Yes, didn't you know?"
Angad-, "No, no one ever told me."
Sean- "oh, well, she has had it for some time now, but it wasn't exactly serious. Today it was dusty and all and so she had a sudden attack. But now she is in stable condition"
Angad- "Thank god she is ok, I got really scared."
Sean smiled,- "You really care about her, huh?"
Angad- "yes, I do, she is everything for me!"
Sean- 'well, she is real lucky to have you as a her grandson, now, I thought you lived In Chicago?"
Angad- ' yea, I still do, I drove here. What about you? We haven't met for some time!"
Sean- "Oh yeah, well, I moved a lot. From Chicago to Texas, where I attended medical school, and then I moved again to Indiana, where I completed medical school, and finally I am here in front of you as a doctor."
Angad- cool…. Well can I meet my grandmother?"
Sean- "of course you can!"
He took him to his grandma's room and left him there. His grandma looked up,
"Angad, beta, what are you doing here?"
Angad- half-angry, and concerned at the same time, "Dadi, you scared me there, I never knew you had asthma!"
Dadi- "Beta, I didn't want you to worry!"
Angad, sighed, "Dadi, I admit I would be worried, everyone would, but it is scary, you live here all by yourself."
Dadi- "I am sorry, beta no more secrets from now on, happy?"
Angad- "very!" he smiled and hugged her.
