Kripa was frustrated with her landowner. She was ready to kill this man.

K- But Mr. Prakash what's the problem if I cancel my....cancellation?
MP- Look, it's not that easy, I've already given the apartment for rent to a new couple, I can't take my word back, besides they're paying me way more then you did.
K- But Mr. Prakash, I don't have anywhere else to stay.......
Mr. Prakash looked at her hopelessly.
MP- I wish I could so something, I guess you'll have to rent a new apartment and pay a down payment and start all over
K- But I gave all my money to my apartment in London, which I won't get back for six months....
MP- I'm sorry......you're going to have to empty my apartment in a week.......
K- .........thanks anyways

Kripa left his home and went to her own apartment. She took out her keys and was about to open the door when she saw Angad standing there smiling at her. His smile made her angry. Angry that he was so happy and had no stress when the world seemed to be against her. She probably looked like a pigsty and he was standing there looking like a runway model. He seemed to have his whole life figured out and she had no idea where she would be living in the next week. But then again, there was something in his smile that brought a strange type of reassurance to her that somehow, someway everything would solve itself out.

A- Kripa, Kripa, Kripa!
K- oh, huh
A- Where were you lost?
K- oh, nowhere
A- In my thoughts?
K- .....urgg...in your dreams!
A- Okay sorry. Anyways how are you?
Kripa unlocked her door and turned the knob.
K- Good
A- Good isn't good enough, (Angad followed her into her apartment) the woman I love should be ON TOP OF THE WORLD
K- Why? Are you the King of England or...or the Prince of Denmark or something?
A- No.....as far as I remember I'm Angad Khanna.
K- As far as I thought, you were Angad Kapoor
Angad saw Kripa kept moving around, like she was trying to avoid eye contact from him or something.

A- Kripa, that's very mean of you, I said sorry
K- Whatever, the only reason I still have anything to do with you is because---
A- Because of our child, .......I know
Kripa could notice the pain in his voice, but she didn't care. It was nothing compared to the pain he gave her.
Angad grabbed an apple and sat on the table as Kripa was cutting carrots.

A- What are you cutting carrots for?
K- None of your business
A- ...okay
K- Why are you here?
A- None of your business
Kripa turned around and gave Angad a mean glare.
A- Just kidding, just kidding. Actually, it's my birthday
K- Your birthday?
A- Yeah
K- And how do I know this isn't one of your stupid lies?
A- It's not, I mean it
K- You mean everything Angad
A- Okay, here
Angad took his driver's license out of his wallet and showed it to Kripa.
Kripa looked at it, it was indeed his birthday.
K- So, why are you telling me, it doesn't make any difference to me if it's your birthday or not
A- Oh......erm.....I don't have anyone else that's my own to celebrate with.......
K- Hey, one second, I'm not "your own" and never will be okay!
A- .........sorry. But what if my kid wants to celebrate with me?
K- What the **** are you talking about Angad?
A- Yeah, what if my kid wants to celebrate with me and vise versa
K- Trust me, this kid doesn't want to celebrate with you
A- Hey that's not fair, it's my kid as much as it is yours
K- Go to **** Angad! I bet the next thing you'll want is to have custody of the kid!
A- Where do you get all this crap from? Did I ever even mention custody?!
K- .......sorry, I was just....sorry
A- It's okay, I heard woman get mood swings during pregnancy, anyways you can make it up to me by going to dinner with me
K- Angad........why are you doing this?
A- I don't want to be alone.....I mean, on my birthday.....so will you....please!
K- .....fine

Angad had gone home to change. He told Kripa to stay ready. Kripa wore a black dress, she had worn it several times before. She didn't think much of the occasion to dress up too much. She wanted to maintain as much distance from Angad as possible. She heard the doorbell ring. She went to open it knowing it was Angad.

To her surprise he was standing there looking drop dead handsome. He had his hair gelled which made it glow. He wore a blue suit looking like a billionaire. He had red roses in his hands and a box of heart shaped chocolates.
K- Angad----
A- This is for you.
Angad handed her the roses.
K- .....thanks, but there was no need for this---
A- And this is for the little one
Angad handed her the box of chocolates
Kripa took them both and put them on the table. She knew there was no use to fighting with him, it would only build up to something bigger and more horrible.

A- By the way, you look beautiful
Kripa knew this one had to be a lie. She wore a black dress which was of no special design. She wore no jewelry and had done nothing special with her hair.

Angad couldn't take his eyes off of her. Even while looking so simple, she was the prettiest woman he had ever met in his life. Not just the outside of her, but also the inside. He loved her for not what she looked like but who she was. Her personality could make any sane man go crazy.

K- What are we doing here?
A- Here for dinner, remember?
K- Yes, but it's....so big and...beautiful
A- What, did you think I was going to take you to McDonalds?
Kripa laughed, when she realized it she quickly sealed her lips and reminded herself not to laugh at any of jokes or sarcasm..

As they entered the restaurant and the clerk greeted them and led them to their table, Kripa noticed no one else seemed to be around.
K- Angad, where is everyone?
A- hmm......I have no idea
K- Angad, I don't have stupid written on my forehead, I know on a Friday night, one of the most beautiful and one of the hardest restaurants to get reservations to won't be empty.
A- It's not empty, we're here
K- Angad----
A- Kripa I don't know, maybe everyone had better things to do then come here
K- ........whatever

After the most delicious dinner Kripa ate in her life, a couple of guys in bow ties came and started playing violins. She noticed the lights dim. She looked ahead of her and Angad wasn't in his seat. She looked to the side of her and he was on his knees.
K- Angad, what are you doing, get up
A- Kripa, I know I've made more mistakes then you can probably even count of, I know you blame me for everything you've lost, but I also know somewhere inside your heart you love me. Kripa, ever since I've met you, I can't stop thinking about you, I dream about you every night, your the first person I think of when I wake up in the morning. Your all I know and all I want to know. I know I can happily, without regret, spend the rest of my life with you. I'll keep you the happiest woman in the world because even if you don't love me yet, my love will be enough for the three of us, our child is included in that...anyways, Kripa Sharma, will you marry me?
K-.......................................................... ..............wow.This is really   ....unexpected .......uhgg who am I kidding, I knew you would pull some stupid stunt like this, Angad we both know why you proposed to me, it's because I'm pregnant

A- No, it's because I love you
K- but I don't love you
A- Kripa, don't do this, you told me you love me
K- That was before I knew about your lies, besides, a man like you can't love anyone else, you didn't even give your family another chance
A- What are you trying to say?
K- If you could leave your family and never even go meet them again then I'm pretty sure you can leave me too
A- Kripa....I don't know what I can do or say to make you believe that I love you
K- ......
A- At least marry me for our child
K- Why?
A- Kripa, we're having a child together, do you want for the rest of our lives this child to be a ball bouncing from one of us to the other
K- Angad, a lot of people have children without getting married, and we're going to be one of them because I can't compromise my life with you
A- Kripa but----......fine, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pressure you, your right, you shouldn't have to compromise your life with me.....

Why did he seem so sad at the moment. Kripa was almost positive he only wanted to marry her for this child. She would have never in a million years thought Angad would be so serious about this kid. He was being so......"nice" about everything. STOP, she had to stop thinking about him, he meant nothing to her.
K- So ......should we go now...
A- Actually, Alliya told me about your apartment problems and I'd like to help
K- Oh my gosh, that girl can't keep anything in her stomach
A- Don't get mad at her, it slipped out of her mouth
K- Sure it did and by the way, no, I don't want your help
A- Kripa, I have an empty room in my apartment and---
K- Why don't you understand what no means Angad?!
Angad could see she was getting angry, but he would make her say yes.

A- It's better than staying anywhere else, where you'll be alone, you know you'll need someone to be with you and take care of you while your pregnant, right?
K- I don't need your favor?
A- I won't be doing you a favor, I'll be doing it for my child.
K- .....erm......
A- And that way I won't have to worry about you---I mean the child 24/7
K- So your doing it for this child right?
A- Yes
K- ......fine, but are you sure you'll be able to stand me for 9 months?
Angad laughed- I should be asking you that
K- But Angad, I'll be paying you rent
A- But why?
K- Because, that's all we'll be, housemates and besides I don't want any favors from you
A- As you wish
K- ......thank you
A- Thank you
K- Angad, why are the violists still playing?
A- I paid them for an hour's time of playing, they better be playing
K- You stay here and enjoy the violins, I'm going home
Kripa got up and started walking away.
A- I'm coming, I'm coming!

Angad heart felt like it had been broken but he still smiled. She rejected him and said she didn't love him and he started to believe it.
K- bye
A- Good night

By the next week Kripa was packed and in Angad's apartment. She felt kind of awkward in his home, but not for a second did he let her feel it wasn't her home too. It was the day Alliya would be leaving for London. Alliya came to visit her before she went to the airport.

Al- Kripa I'm going to miss you so much!
K- Me too!
Al- So your coming to London next term
K- .......yeah

Angad came in the living room and saw Alliya.
A- Alliya, long time no see
Al- I know, I'm leaving today Angad
A- oh yeah, you told me, congrats
Al- Congrats to you too
A- thanks
K- Anyways good luck and have a great year
Al- Kripa, I wish you would go with me, I'm going to miss you guys so much, hey what time is it?
A- Almost 6
Al- I have to run guys, my flight is in forty-five minutes
Alliya hugged both Angad and Kripa.

K- Good luck
Al- To you too, call me, and I'll come visit you guys during break
A- Bye
Al- Angad take care of Kripa, otherwise---
A- I will, promise
Al- bye, see you guys]

Alliya left. Kripa felt lonely. She sat down on the sofa, she didn't even realize when Angad came and sat next to her.
A- Kripa
Kripa was startled, she knew she had to get used to him though.

K- What is it?
A- Nothing, I was just bored
K- So?
A- Lets do something
K- No thanks,
A- .......fine
K- Can i ask you a quick question
A- Sure
K- What do you want in life?
A- Not much, I just want everyone to love me
K-(sarcastically) .......yeah, that's not too much at all
A- I'm glad you agree, hey you want to go to a movie or something?
K- No thank you
A- .....okay, then sit here and be bored
K- Whatever
Kripa flipped on the tv and watched a soccer tournament, Angad was the one that was bored. He soon fell asleep on the couch. The phone started to ring. Kripa thought Angad would wake up and pick it up, but he was too deep into sleep, she got up and answered it.

K- Hello
Someone- Hello
K- ...yes?
Someone- ...hey, this is Karan, erm...is this Angad Khanna's house?
K- Yes, let me get him for you

Kripa put the phone down and went to go wake Angad up. She even shook him but that just caused him to turn around and face the other way. He finally opened his eyes when Kripa screamed his name in his ear. Angad got up with a shock.
A- what!
K- You have a phone call
A- So?
K- So go talk to the person
A- My foots asleep
K- Aww you poor baby, I don't care, go answer it!
A- Can you atleat put it on speaker, so I don't have to get up
K- ........fine
Kripa put it on speaker for Angad.

A- hello
Karan- Hey Angad, its me, Karan
Angad was shocked. He couldn't believe he was talking to Karan, his own brother, after so many years.
Kar- Come home Angad
