Angad's cell rang as he was driving home. It was Mishty. He knew he couldn't just ignore her, so he picked it up.
A- hello
M- Hey Angad, whats up?
A- Nothing, just driving home, hows life treating you?
M- Horrible!
A- That sucks, why?
M- Because I haven't seen the man I love in like forever
A- ...oh....
M- Angad, I'm serious, ever since you started this high school thing, we hardly ever meet.
A- That's not true, you came over my house the other day
M- Oh yeah, one day out of the seven days in a week. Plus you kick me out saying you have to do your homework or something
A- Okay fine, I'll take you out this weekend, alright?
M- Really! I love you Angad! Anyways, did you get that one girl, whats her name....
A- Kripa, her name is Kripa.
M- Yeah....Kripa, did you get her to go out with you yet?
A- ....we're working things out----
M- God, your talking as if you really want to be in a relationship with her
A- Maybe I do--
M- WHAT!
Angad realized what he said.
A- Just kidding, you know jk
M- oh......okay.
A- yeah...so I'll talk to you later, okay?
M- okay, i love you
Angad hung up. Why did woman have to be so.......complicated.

The next day at school Angad accidentally slammed into someone causing her books to drop.
A- I'm so sorry
Anagad saw the girl's face. She looked so familiar.
Girl- It's okay
Angad helped her pick up her books.
A- Are you.....Ria?
Girl- yeah, your Angad right?
A- yeah, your Josh's girlfriend right?
Ria- His ex-girlfriend, anyways I've heard quite a bit about you from him
A- yeah, we're best friends, but......if you don't mind me asking, why did you guys break up?
R- Like he didn't tell you
A- No, actually he didn't
Angad and Ria both stood up now.
R- Then..... I don't know if I should tell you
A- All I know is he's heart broken and he really misses you
R- Your just saying that because your his best friend
A- No really, he told me himself, he even said he wants to spend the rest of his life with you, so...........I guess this means he loves you........
Ria- But....I told him, I told him to stop taking those steroids, but he didn't stop. I thought maybe if I leave him then he'd somehow, with some miracle, realize his mistake
A- Wait! Josh takes steroids-----no, it can't be, your mistaken
Right then Angad remembered the steroids he found by Josh. So they really were his.
Ria- I wish I were lying, but I saw them with him myself, he.....he's addicted, he's been taking them for a long time now. He tells me he'll quit, but he never did..
A- Look, I'll talk to him, okay? But what he needs is you to support him, not leave him hanging.
Ria realized what Angad was saying was true.
Ria- Your right, thanks. So friends?
A- Friends

At lunch Angad found Josh.
J- Dude, where've you been, it's chicken day----
A- Josh I have to talk to you
J- okay........about what?
Angad sat down across from him. No one was close enough to hear.

A- okay.....ermm.....how do I say this? .......
J- Angad, your freaking me out, hurry up and say what you want to say, my chickens getting cold
A- okay.. Your taking steroids aren't you?
J- What! How do you--- I mean, no!
A- Josh, I hate to tell you this, but your not really the best liar, now what the hell are you doing taking steroids, you know they're bad for you! In the long run they can hurt or damage-----
J- Angad stop this! I only take them once in a while
A- That's why the bottle I found was three fourths empty, right
J- Uhgg! How'd you know they were mine?
A- It doesn't matter, just.....your addicted aren't you
J- I'm not addicted dude, just leave me alone
A- What kind of friend would I be if I did that, anyways I know your not going to listen to me, that's why I'm telling your dad
J- What! Are you crazy, he'll murder me if he finds out!
A- Fine, if you don't want me to then get help. Go into a rehab----
J- No way!
A- Fine, then I'll tell your parents and they can figure something out
J- No! l.....fine, I'll....I'm ready for help
A- Here's a rehab counselor's number
J- What! You had the number already
A- Yeah, I was late because I had to go the library to look it up
J- ...........Angad, your impossible
A- You better be attending all their meetings otherwise---
J- I know, I know, you'll tell my parents, what a great friend you are
A- Okay, catch you later, I have to go

Angad got up and left.

Kripa watched him leave. She really wanted to talk to him, tell him how she felt about him, only she herself didn't know how she felt. She knew she liked him, but why were her feelings towards him so strong? God, she needed answers! And for these answers she needed to spend time with Angad. But every time she wanted to go to him, guilt took over. Prithvi and her had only broken up three days ago, if she went ahead and started dating Angad, then he would be crushed......okay he would be more crushed then he already is. He would hate her even more.

Angad got out his blue journal. He knew he had to write about steroids being used in high school. Steroids were being used more and more everyday. The youth started depending on it, they were addicted. Boy, he knew Mr. Kurana would love this part for sure.
