Part 27

Seeing Rey standing in front of them they quickly separated from their position, while Rey was looking, correction, glaring at them. Rey scanned the entire room to find it messy with cotton lying all over.

Shivam: Rey voh.. erm.. mein.. erm..

Rey: Shivam, mein yeh nahi poochunga ki tu iss waqt yahan kya kar raha hai, kyunki I.. I exactly know ki tu yahan iss waqt kya kar raha hai!

Shivam: Aa.. actually.. you know..

Rey: I know!

Niki: Yansh.. voh..

Rey: Quiet Nik!

Shivam: Rey..

Before he could continue ahead, Rey fell on the ground and was shaking. Niki and Shivam panicked and rushed to him.

Niki: Yansh? (and made him turn)

Now Rey was lying on the floor laughing holding his tummy.

Rey: Aisi shakale dekh kar toh koi bhi hasne lage. Yeh Swayam kaunsi chakki ka aata khata hai ki aisa behave kiya. (laughed more)

Niki: Yansh, you alright?

Shivam: Yeah dude, tu theek hai?

Rey: Sorry to disturb you. Carry on. (got up laughing)

Niki: Yansh you okay ki Shi.. (before she could speak further Rey said)

Rey: See I don't think ki mujhe, out of all people, iss sab se problem hone lagegi. Bas kuch utt patang ki cheezein nahi honi chahiye. I think I can trust you two with that!

Shivam: You can surely do!

Rey left still laughing at their horrified faces.

Rey (thinking): I looked that funny back then! Swayam ek unique piece hai! Aur Taani usse bhi! I'm sure kal bhi ignore karegi!

Then he drifted off to sleep thinking of ways to talk to Taani.

Shivam: Tumhara bhai shayad pagal hogaya tha!

Niki (glaring at him): Usse pagalpan nahi experience kehte hai!

Shivam: Don't get angry! Aur kal please apne gusse ko under control rakhna.

He bids her and leaves. She drifts off peacefully without any tension. But one person was unable to sleep. She tried hard but just couldn't drift off.

Taani (to herself): Rey mujhse bohot gussa honge. Kriya ke aane ke baad meine unse baat bhi nahi ki hai. But kya baat karti, voh Kriya ka lautne ka gussa mujhpe nikal dete. But unka gussa bhi toh jayas hai. But mein Kriya ko na bhi nahi keh sakti thi. Krishna ji yeh sab itna complicated kyun hai?

She tried forgetting everything and sleeping, and finally succeeded. Her tired mind refused to think more and finally she retired to bed.

Next day was a holiday at college due to some reason, so everyone left for academy. They reached the academy early, so they were just chilling out in the rehearsal hall instead of starting with their routine. A few souls; Rey, Taani, Niki, Shivam, Kriya; were absent, but their absence didn't create panic amongst the rest.

Rey was pacing to and fro in the hallway waiting for Taani. Kriya spots him alone in the hallway. She thinks that it is a good opportunity for her to talk and apologize. She is about to go ahead when she sees him stopping abruptly seeing Taani.

Rey: Finally!

Taani sees him but still keeps walking towards the rehearsal hall.

Rey: I'm waiting for you!

Taani: Me? (acted surprised)

Rey: Mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai.

Taani: Not now. Abhi mujhe kaam hai.

Rey: Stop avoiding me!

She felt a pang in her heart when he said this and turned to him.

Taani: I'm not avoiding you.

Rey: Toh baat kyun nahi ka rahi ho?

Taani: Kar toh rahi hoon.

Rey: Taani. (held her by her arms and stopped her from walking)

Kriya (Thinking): Rey mera saara gussa Taani pe na nikal de. I think I should go and prevent a fight. But Rey gusse mein bhi nahi lag rahe.

Taani: Rey mujhe jaane do.

Rey: Pehle meri baat suno.

Taani: Rey abhi nahi.

Rey (losing his cool): Taani you know ki mujhe tumse bohot important baat karni hai. So stop ignoring me!

Taani (Taken aback by his temper):Mein aapse.. (Rey didn't let her complete and dragged her inside a store room and locked the door.)

Kriya: Damn! I should help her. She doesn't deserve his anger.

After locking the door, Rey turned to her and saw her pale face. Then he realized what he just did and also the room was too dark and she is afraid of darkness.

Rey grabbed her into a tight hug.

Rey: I'm sorry. Mein waise behave nahi karna chahata tha. I'm really sorry.

Tears were rolling out from her eyes. He cupped her face and made her look at him. She saw concern, for her, in Rey's eyes and immediately hugged him and started crying.

Taani (between sobs): I'm sorry Rey. Mujhe aapko ignore nahi karna chahiye tha. But I was afraid.. (left her sentence midway)

Rey (pulled her more towards him): Tumne kis bhi wajah se Kriya ko wapas laya ho, voh mujhe utna bura nahi laga jitna tumhara mujhe ignore karna.

Taani: I'm sorry.

Rey: Hey stop. (Her sobs continued) Dekho abh mein gussa ho jaunga.

Taani broke the hug and gave him a questioning look.

Rey: Tum mera shirt kharab kar rahi ho.

Taani hits him on his chest while he pulled her in a hug.

Rey and Taani stayed in the same position for sometime. After a while, they both separated. Taani was looking at Rey trying to say something, but was debating with herself to say or not.

Rey: Khud se aur Krishna ji se jhagadna band karo, and speak up!

Taani (letting out a deep sigh): I know ki aap mujhse baat karna chahate ho, but mein iss waqt kuch nahi keh sakti. Bas ek request hai, aap Kriya se..

Rey (cutting her): Mein Kriya se kya?

Taani: Aap Kriya se ek baar baat karlo. Please. Mere liye. (she said with a pleading look)

Rey: But mujhe usse koi baat nahi karni. (he said blankly)

Taani: But usse karni hai. Please Rey, just once.

Rey: Okay fine. But not now.

Taani: Thanks Rey.

Rey: Sirf thanks se kaam nahi chalega.

Rey started moving close to Taani. Her breathing was increasing with the reducing distance. Rey felt happy to see his effect on her. He kept on approaching her. By now their bodies were plastered  to each others. She shut her eyes giving him permission. He saw her eyes shut and took it as an approval and was about to cut the distance when a loud THUD brought them back. Taani was furiously blushing while Rey was cursing the person, who made noise, under his breath.

Outside store room Kriya was hell shocked. She saw everything through the glass window. She saw Rey and Taani getting up to leave and quickly grabbed the fallen file, which made that loud sound, and left from there.

Rey and Taani came out. They were heading to the rehearsal hall when Rey remembered that he had forgotten his bag in his car so he went out asking Taani to carry on. He went to the parking lot and grabbed his bag from his car. He was heading in when he saw Shivam and Niki entering the academy. Shivam dropped Niki at the entrance, where she met Rey, and asked them to go ahead saying he'll come directly there after parking his car.

Kriya was moving to the canteen when she saw Rey and Niki entering.

Kriya (thinking): Yeh wahi hai na jo kal mujh pe chilla rahi thi? Jo Rey ko lekar kaafi possessive hai?

Niki: You seem very happy today? Baat kya hai?

Rey: Tum itni beautifully ready hoke aaogi toh mujhe khushi hogi hi na.

Niki: Aaj compliment dene ka bhoot sawar hai janab pe, not bad!

Rey: Ab jab saamne wala itna pretty lagega toh compliment dena toh banta hai!

Niki: Hayye mere Romeo! I love you!

Rey (mimicking her): Hayye meri Juliet! I love you too! (He gave a peck on her cheek and left humming.)

Niki: Isse kya hua hai? (He was crossing the store room with a wide smile.) Yansh pagal ho gaya hai!

Kriya saw their entire conversation and was shocked even more.

Kriya (to herself): Rey aur Taani store room mein itne close the. And now Rey isse I love you bol rahe hai. And dono khush dikh rahi thi. Kahin Rey dono mein se kisi ek ko cheat. No! Rey aise toh bilkul nahi hai. Aur Taani toh Shivam ki girlfriend hai. Hai na? But fir voh store room? Argh! Mujhe kuch nahi samajh raha! I think mujhe kisi se baat karni hogi. Swayam! Haan. I'll talk to  him.

She calls Swayam and decides to meet him in the canteen.

Chalo last time jo TaaRey ka koi bhi scene na hone ke wajah se complaints the voh iss baar nahi honge.
