Chapter 59
~59~
Anuj was in deep slumber when he heard a soft knock. He woke up as the knocks continued. Knowing it would be her, he marched to the door and opened it. His breath hitched for lo and behold, she was wearing the midnight blue gown with sequins sewn all over. She had let her hair lose and done soft curls with the short hairs. It looked as if she had the night sky wrapped all around her. As she slowly walked towards him, his mind reminded him of the vision long long ago. But no vision could match the beauty in front of him. He wondered if he was still asleep on his bed dreaming. He pinched himself hard to make sure he was awake. Finally mustering up some courage to speak, he opened his mouth, his voice came out as a squeak as he mouthed her name
"Anu..."
She knelt before him and held up her hand.
"Anuj... I love you... all of you and I am ready... right at this moment... I want to be yours... Let's get married tomorrow.."
"Married...?"
"Mmm hmm... I went to the register office... its open and they said we can come and get married provided we have proper government ids..."
"Tomorrow..?"
"If there's one thing that the past few days taught me, it's never to put off things..."
"But Anu... what about the horse, the decor, the everything... I mean didn't you dream of a fairy tale wedding..."
"I don't want any fairy tales... I want you... and only you are enough... you are my fairy tale..."
"But guests..."
"Mukku, Aarav, GK and my kids are enough... them and you are my world... I have my world... let's get married..."
"But... Anu..."
She stood up and clicked her tongue.
"Bholuram... I want to get married and all you are thinking of are excuses to postpone it... do you want to marry me or not?"
He pulled her towards him and lifted her up in his arms. He twirled her around and kissed her.
"Mohatarma... all my life I have wanted to marry you... it's just that I didn't expect you to come and whisk me away to marry me... my dreams always had it the other way around..."
She giggled.
"So are you marrying me or..."
"I am... let's get married..."
She squeezed his arms tight.
"Anuj... Drop me at the apartment after lunch for the night... I want to spend some time with the kids... I will come back to you tomorrow as your wife..."

His heart pounding, he walked towards the room. His wife was waiting for him inside... he felt his heart swell with pride at the term 'wife'. The marriage had gone so well. Being a court marriage, surrounded by loved ones, it had ended very quickly. Aarav had arranged lunch and photoshoot for them at a five star restaurant the wedding. They had had so much fun. He had wanted stay there for the night but she had refused saying she wanted to be at home.... and so they were all alone tonight in their little yellow stone house. He opened the door and entered in... seeing her standing on the balcony, looking at the stars. He walked behind her and wrapped his hand around her waist.
"What are you thinking, Mohatarma..."
"Just how beautiful the night is..."
"Not as beautiful as my wife...."
She playfully pushed against his jaw with her head and he bent and placed soft kisses on her neck. She gave a contented sigh as she leaned back to give into his ministrations.
"Anuj..."
"Mmmm..."
His hands were now on her waist, his fingers tempting her navel with a little dance on their own. The often dropped dangerously low yet pulled back just when she thought they would go further. As he kept teasing her thus, she moaned
"Annnuujjjj..."
"Mmmm..."
She turned around making him withdraw his hand at the sudden movement. Slamming her lips with his, she kissed him passionately, her fingers groping his hair tight. He pulled her closer to him and sunk deeper into the kiss. As the basic need for air made them pull apart, she looked at him, her eyes dark with desire. Grazing his cheek with her fingers, she whispered
"Make love to me, Anuj... I want you tonight..."
He looked deep into her eyes and gave a satisfied sigh as he noticed the fear was no longer in her eyes. Bending down, he lifted her up and walked to their bed.
Outside, the moon shone softly as the lovers became one in their own little world.
