Part 22 :" Wedding Reception"

They reach at the gates of Hotel Taj Skyline and the media flocks around the red car, as Anuj Kapadia steps down from the car, and moves to the other side, holding the door open for his wife.. he offers his hand, she takes it and steps out, they link arms and walk down the lawn, into the huge banquet hall..

They step inside and greet all the guests and family... after everyone is seated at their respective places, Anuj holds Anupama's hand and leads her to the stage..

Anuj:" Good evening ladies and gentleman, thank you so much for being present on this special occasion. Without any delay, I would like to introduce all of you to the love of my life, now, my wife, Anupamaa!"

There was a thunderous round of applause as he handed the mic to Anu..

Anu:" Jai Shree Krishna.. humaari khushi mein shaamil hone ke liye aap sabko thenk you, Anuj ki patni banna mere liye saubhagya ki baat hai, inse accha jeevansaathi na mujhe, na kisi aur ko kabhi mil sakta hai..meri zindagi me aane ke liye, aur meri zindagi mujhe lautane ke liye, thenk you Anuj.."

As the kept the mic aside, the live musicians started playing...

And Anuj offered his hand to Anu, who gladly took it..

He had found many others, but he couldn't find anyone whom he could love .. she had found someone too, but he didn't deserve her love..  finally, the found each other.. and they found the missing pieces of their puzzles..

They waltzed on stage, looking into each others eyes, conveying a thousand unsaid words as their bodies moved in perfect sync...

Stepping away, holding her hand, he pulled her towards himself and twirled her thrice, gathering her in his arms as the music ended...

They both had tears in their eyes, and wiped each others tears, not paying attention to applause from the audience...

As he held her hand and got down from the stage, she shook her head sideways, withdrawing her hand, and gestured him to take his seat...

He was confused, but nodded and complied..

Anupama excused herself and went backstage, and returned in five minutes, as the curtains were drawn..

Anu:" I want to dedicate this performance to my husband, who helped me discover myself, and who is the wind beneath my wings"

Anuj, and everyone else in the audience was surprised to hear her speak a difficult sentence in English  clearly..

The curtains opened, and Anuj gasped, as the spotlights focused on Anupama, her back to the audience, wearing a white anarkali, looking like an angel who had descended from heaven ...

She turned around, as the music started playing ..

He looked at her, transfixed, as her eyes locked with them, and the rest of the world ceased to exist for them, as she moved and twirled around the stage gracefully.. her moves expressing her feelings for him..

From the moment he had touched her life, he had brought magic into her world, it was as if someone had sprinkled fairy dust all around her...

She had longed to belong all her life ... and she had finally found her home - his embrace

Her monotonous life had become a fairytale in every sense.. she looked forward to every day, her hustling days were filled with joy and her lonely nights were filled with love... he was her blessing from above, and he was her everything now.. and she would treasure him at all costs..

She didn't care about the world anymore.. she was his, he was hers, they were together, that was all that mattered to her now...

Each expression of love from him endeared him to her even more.. she didn't just love him, she worshipped him now.. and she didn't have any qualms in expressing her devotion for him in front of the whole world, as she kneeled down, bent her head, ran her palm over her head and she simultaneously raised her head, looking at him,  she got up and gliding around the stage in circles, she stopped and raised her right hand, as if ringing a bell in a temple...

The tears flowing from her eyes conveyed the depth of her love, as her hands and feet moved gracefully... "This is what poetry really is" he thought, while she was felt like she was flying and gliding in the sky, she couldn't feel the stage beneath her feet.. she didn't know anything around her...her senses just told her, that he was sitting across her, and she was a part of him... and she didn't need to know anything else...

As the music stopped, she stopped dancing, her eyes still fixed on him... she was in a daze... he was beside her in two long strides, and he had wrapped his arms around her tight, as she melted into his embrace, without any thoughts in her mind... they were just lost in each other...

They snapped out of their daze, and parted as the audience had stood up, clapping.. everyone present there was moved with the extent of their love... while they didn't even attempt to stop the tears streaming down their cheeks..

This was the first time the world had seen the business tycoon Anuj Kapadia cry...

He was smiling through his tears, so was she...

Anuj, whispered:" Anu..thank you so much..I..I love you.."

Anupama wasn't able to speak... but she didn't need to say I love you too, hadn't she just said it loud and clear enough ?

Overwhelmed with emotions, he hugged her again, wrapping his arms around her waist, as she wrapped hers around his neck..and he lifted her, taking her backstage... he placed her down once they were alone, as he looked into her eyes, and placed his lips on hers, letting the kiss convey all his emotions to her...

As they broke the kiss..

Anuj:" Yaar tumne toh aaj shayar kapadia ko bhi speechless kardiya.."

And they both laughed.. wiping each other's tears...

After they both had composed themselves, they stepped out and cut the cake, fed it to each other.. and then they all had dinner.. after which they interacted a bit with the media, clicked pictures, and finally the guests congratulated them and left..

They all left the hotel too, content and happy..

MaAn got into their car, still not over the emotions the song had evoked in them.. they were silent all the way, her resting her head on his chest, his chin on her head..

They reached home and headed straight to their room, holding hands.. and devoted themselves to each other, making love, filling each other's hearts with love.. and sleeping in each other's arms, content with themselves, with each other, with life....

That's all for today! There was no romance today, because there is a lot more to love than the physical aspects, I really wanted to explore the emotional side of their relationship...

This part will be the closest to my heart, and I don't know how to explain why...

If someone asks me to use a song to describe love, it will be Saiyyan...
