Happy MaAn day!!!!Lack of MaAn on sunday and today's episode inspired me to write this..

Part 14:" The Groom"

The next morning, as the sun rose in the sky, shining a little brighter, the birds chirped a little louder, the trees swayed a little more happily, and GK shouted Anuj's name, a little louder..

But Anuj, was still sleeping peacefully and dreaming about his Anu..

GK:" Anuj beta uth jaa"

Anuj:" Anu... sone do na thodi der.. kal raat humne kitna romance kiya"

GK:" Anuj uthhh..Anujjj"

Anuj:" Mmmm.. Anuuuuu.. jaan.. sone do naaa.. tum bhi aajao.. so jao mere paas.. itni jaldi kyu uth gayi.. and hugged the pillow beside him tight"

GK:" Iss pagal chokre ko kaise uthau main!!!"

He had a brilliant idea.. he called Anu..

On the call:

Anu:" Hello? Jai Shree Krishna kaka.. kya hua..itni subhe subhe..?"

GK:" Anu beta woh Anuj ko kabse utha raha hu..uth hi nahi raha.. tumhaare sapno me khoya hua hai.. "

Anu,blushing:" Su kaka tame pan "

GK:" Are main jhooth nahi bol raha.. ruk main dikhata hu.. "

He switched to a video call, and showed Anu the bed, where Anuj was sleeping..he walked up to Anuj.. and shook his shoulder..

GK:" Anuj uthhhh.. subha hogayi"

Anuj cuddled the pillow closer to himself..

Anuj:" Anu..jaaan.. Sone do na baby.. itni bhi kya jaldi hai.. tum mere paas ho na.. aur main tumhaare paas.. aur kya chahiye shona.."

And he kissed the pillow..

Anu blushed redder than a beetroot.. she didn't know what to feel... love or anger!! But she knew one thing for sure.. her bholuram was definitely not a bholuram anymore..

GK:" Dekha Anu beta...ab tu hi bata main kya karu iss gadhe ka.."

Anu:" Kaka ek kaam kijiye.. side me jo jug pada haine.. uska pura paani daal dijiye Anuj pe"

GK:"Pakka?"

Anu:" Haan kaka pleej"

GK took the jug of water and emptied its contents on Anuj's face..

Anuj gasped and woke up with a start, coughing..

Anuj:" GK ye aap kya kar rahe hain..shaadi waale din dulhe ko koi aise uthata hai?"

GK:" Finally tujhe ye toh yaad aagaya ki main Anu nahi GK hu.."

Anuj:" Matlab?"

GK handed him the phone

GK:" Ye le, Anu se hi pooch le.. mujhe Mukku aur Devika ko bhi jaakar dekhna hai.. tum sab toh bilkul bacche ho.. mummy ke bina kuch nahi hota tumse.. huh.. shaadi hai aaj aur subhe utha bhi nahi jaata"

And he left..

Anu:" Anuj ye aap kya kar rahe the?? Aise karta hai koi.. kaka ka jara toh lihaaj karte"

Anuj:" Arre aaj subhe subhe sab mujhe daant kyu rahe hain.. main toh abhi abhi utha hun maine kya kardiya"

Anu told him what he was mumbling in his sleep..

Anuj took the pillow in his lap.. and gave a naughty smirk..

Anuj:" Phir toh isme meri galti hai hi nahi"

Anu:" Toh kya meri hai"

Anuj:" Ji bilkul"

Anu:" Meine..meine..meine kya kiya.."

Anuj:" Tumne.. mera dil, dimaag, chain, neend sab chura liya hai.. tum hi aayi thi mere sapne me.. main thodi aaya tha tumhaare sapne me.."

Anu,blushing:" Aaye the"

Anuj:" Accha.. toh kya kar raha tha main?"

Anu said she'd tell him later.. after the wedding..but he knew, from the colour of her cheeks..

Anuj:" Waise.. aaj humaari shaadi hai Ms. Joshi.. taiyaar rahiyega.. main aaunga tumhe lekar jaane"

Anu:" Mein toh kabse taiyaar hu.. jaldi aaiyega.. mujhse ab aapki Mrs. Kapadia banne ka intezaar nahi ho raha"

Anuj:" Waise.. officially toh hum dono name change nahi karwa rahe ha? Bas bulaane ke liye main Mr. Joshi aur tum Mrs. Kapadia.. haina?"

Anu:" Hmm.. ab chahe kisi bhi naam se bula lijiye.. par hun toh main bas aapki Anu na"

Anuj:" Uffff subhe subhe itni romantic baatein karogi jaan... toh main control kaise kar paunga"

Anu, still blushing:" Anoojj.. aap bhi ne"

Anuj:" Subha toh barso se hoti hai par

Itni khubsurat kabhi hui nahi

Gul toh lakhon khilte hain magar

Mere mehboob sa sundar koi nahi

Noor toh humesha se tha iss chehre par

Par iss chehre pe haq mera kabhi tha nahi

Aaj haq se kar raha hu taarif unki

Kitaab me chupaane ki zarurat nahi

Ab roz meri subha unke deedar se hogi ye yaqeen hai hume

Magar is yaqeen par hume yaqeen nahi"

Anu: "Taareef toh sab karte hain

Par aapki tarah lafzon ko sajaata koi nahi

Jab tak aapki mohabbat ka noor na ho,

Ye chehra toh kya, ye duniya bhi khubsurat nahi!"

Anuj:" Anu.. ye.. tum.. kabse on the spot shayri karne lagi.. ?"

Anu:" Ab kya karu.. Mrs. Shayar Kapadia jo banna hai.."

Anuj:" Hmm.. main tumhaare pyaar me Shayar bangaya.. aur tum mere pyaar me.. sahi hai..par mera toh phir bhi samajh aata hai.. tum ho hi itni khubsurat ki koi taarif kyu na kare!!!"

Anu:" Khubsurati dekhne waale ki nazar me hoti hai Anuj...main toh baaki sab ki tarah dikhti hu..bilkul normal maa ya grahini ki tarah.."

Anuj:" Anu.. aise kabhi mat kehna...tum..iss duniya ki sabse khubsurat ladki ho..hmm?

Aankhon se teri kya kya chhupa hai

Tujhko dikhaaoon main zara

Anu:" Anuj.. "

And she gave him a big smile.. and her happiness had just started to flow out of her eyes.. she couldn't believe how lucky she had gotten...

Anuj:" Arre mohotarma.. ye khushi ke aanso shaadi ke liye bacha kar rakhiye..aur ab apne is Shayar ko ye bhi bata dijiye ki aapne sapne me kya dekha?"

Anu:" Aise nahi...aankhe bandh kijiye...phir batuangi"

Anuj obeyed..

And Anu started singing -

🎶Tum paas aaye

Yun muskuraaye

Tumne na jaane kya

Sapne dikhaaye

Ab toh mera dil

Jaage na sota hai

Kya karu haaye..

Kuch kuch hota hai🎶

As she stopped.. Anuj opened his eyes....smiling wide.. his smile reaching his eyes.. making him look all the more handsome..

Anuj:" Anu..ab tum itni romantic ho rahi ho..mujhe kuch kuch nahi bohot kuch ho raha hai.. kaise control karu main raat tak"

Mukku barged in with Devika

Mukku:" Bhai.. ek idea dun..aap dono na bhaag ke shaadi karlo abhi ke abhi.. raat tak wait nahi karna padega.."

Anuj:" Brilliant idea.. chalo Anu..bhaag jaate hain"

Devika pulled his ear..

Devika:" Besharam, yaha hum sabne itni mehnat ki hai teri shaadi ke liye..aur tujhe bhaagna hai? Aur Anu tu.. subhe subhe iss gadhe ke saath antankshari khelne baith gayi.. darwaaza khol main aa rahi hu tujhe taiyar karne.. "

Anuj:" Bye Anu.. I love you.."

And he blew a flying kiss to her through the phone..

Anu blushed, as Devika and Mukku chorused an Awwwww...

Anu whispered a quick bye and cut the call..

Devika left.. promising to be back in time for the baraat..

Anuj went to have a shower.. and got ready in a white shirt and denim..

All the while.. he was just thinking..

"Aaj meri aur Anu ki shaadi hai.. ab Anu humesha ke liye meri Anu ban jaayegi.. I can't believe it.. ye sapna toh nahi haina.. nahi nahi.. ye sach hai.. ye sach hai.. Anuj.. teri shaadiii.. yesssss"

Just then.. the doorbell ran..and Bunty ran inside the house as soon as GK opened the door..

He touched GK's feet..hugged him.. hugged Mukku and barged into Anuj's room.. and pulled him in a tight bone-crushing hug..

Anuj:" Bunty.. tu... tu aagaya.. tu kaisa hai..haan.. itne time me apne bhai ki yaad nahi aayi na tujhe.. ab aa raha hai milne.. tune college promise kiya tha na.. ki mere aur Anu ke sangeet me mere saath chhapri dance karega.. toh kyu nahi aaya.."

Anuj was crying by now.. so was Bunty..

Bunty:" Anuj.. ab main aa gaya hu na.. aaj teri baraat me hum dono pakka chappri dance karenge.. par haan.. agar tera dance dekh kar bhabhi bhaag gayi toh mujhe mat kehna.."

And they both laughed hard through their tears..

Bunty:" Teri shaadi ke baad hum apne saare misunderstandings clear karlenge Anuj.. don't worry.. aaj bas shaadi pe focus kar.."

They both then had breakfast..reminiscing their college memories.. then Bunty wanted to meet his Bhabhi and Devika once.. so he went to Anu's apartment and met her family..

After he was back, GK, Mukku and Bunty helped Anuj get ready in his red and gold kurta pyjama, and GK proudly placed the golden turban on his head.. all 3 of them were so happy..

They had seen him madly in love with Anu,they had seen him break down after her wedding, they

had seen him gain control of his emotions and grow.. and GK had witnessed him fall in love with Anu all over again after they had come to India.. and all the ups and down..

All three of them were as glad as Anuj.. perhaps even more.. to see him smiling, ready for his wedding with the love of his life.. !!

And Anuj.. his joy knew no bounds.. he was ready to be hers.. officially..forever..and make her his too.. !!

He'd once said to Anu.."Mujhe nahi pata dulha banna kya hota hai..mujhe nahi pata hai pati banna kya hota hai.."

But now he knew.. he knew how it feels to be a groom.... to know that today, the love of your life is going to walk down the aisle and hold your hand..and never leave it....

He knew, that it was just a matter of few hours before he would he understand how it feels to be a husband..

Above all, he knew that he was the luckiest and happiest man on the planet in that moment.. and he thanked Kanhaji with all his heart..
