Proposal?? The whole Sharma clan went into a state of collective shock..
What kind of proposal ..Kanta Chachi was the first to recover herself..
Oh I am sorry ..did you guys think of the matrimonial kind?? ...nahin nahin..
After all you all know ..that I really respect Mehak's talent and my proposal is strictly professional ..
Though on the other hand you also know that I treat all my staff members as my extended family.
Huh?? Mehak wondered ..what had got into this Man   Kya kehna chahta hai .kya karna chahta hai ( what does he want to say , what does he want to do)
PD cut to the chase ..woh sab to theek hai beta ..par tum laddoo se kya chahte ho..
Shaurya wished , she could tell this cute woman , what he really wanted of her laddoo.
HE was sure PD could have handled it , she was one feisty and naughty woman. He was not sure of the rest of the clan.
PD as you know Delhi has a really bad reputation as far as women safety is concerned . A lot of unfortunate cases have happened , specially late in the night.
The atmosphere grew grim.
The government has put in a lot of measures for the employers to follow like giving cabs etc to women working late in the night , but as you know bad things still happen.
He looked at Kanta Chachi ..Main jaanta hoon jab tak Mehak ghar nahin aati aapko neend nahin aati ( I know you cannot sleep till Mehak reaches home)
Kanta Chachi looked back intently , as if trying to read his soul. Inspite of everything she was always a little wary of this Man.
All that is fine , but what has this got to do with Mehak. Balwant ..Mehak's grandfather interrupted impatiently.
See , it will be unfair for Mehak if she has to leave such a great career for security reasons.
And it is unfair for you all to spend half of your every night worrying about Mehak..
But what security concerns ?..Mehak could not remain quiet. This man is surely upto something. ..my driver bhaiyya is very nice. He drops me safely home every night.
Yes I know , but he is going to his village . He wants to get back to farming and it is difficult for me to find someone as trustworthy as him at such a short notice..
Huh..he never mentioned it to me once?? Mehak was truly bewildered.
Well you know with these guys ..how it is ..they do not do a detailed project plan ..it is all last minute .He just told the transport supervisor , yesterday and then the news travelled to me .
Shaurya did not think it was necessary for them to know that the INR 250 ,000 offer from him had gone a long way in Satbir deciding he did not want to drive a taxi for atleast sometime now. He could spend that time in his native village
Oh so what will we do now ? asked Kanta Chachi ..I am not in favor of leaving mehak to come on her own every night neither any driver will do , unless he is absolutely trustworthy and police verified. Kanta Chachi emphasized.
See, I would have dropped Mehak every night myself , said Shaurya ...Mehak turned pale ..but then you know I travel a lot so am not around quite often.
Mehak started breathing again.
So then ..what is the solution ..should Mehak leave the job..asked Bade Chachu.
It was Shaurya's turn to stop breathing for a moment.
No No of course not ... here is my solution
You know very near the restaurant I have bought a few apartments in a condo . My idea is to give them for my staff to lodge.
A lot of my staff are using that facility. A shuttle runs from the condo to the restaurant everyday , and it is easy to coordinate as many staff members live there
Since Mehak is ,my star employee , I will offer her an exclusive apartment ,solely for her use . His eyes held deep meanings..No sharing for   Mehak..
Infact Mehak you have seen that apartment . Remember the apartment you went to see with your friend Sonal ,,,as I told you, I was also looking at the same apartment for my employees.
You do remember right... The eyelock grew deeper., sharing silently the memories of what had happened on that Karwa Chauth evening . Mehak turned red thinking of the secret between them. What would her family think if they know it was Shaurya who had broken her fast that day. She still remembered him picking up gently and taking her to the balcony ,so that she could see the moon and then feeding her his energy bar holding her in his lap.
Shaurya smirked seeing her expression change ..let's see where you run Ms Sharma ? How do you avoid me ? His eyes told her.
But beta we cannot have laddoo living alone .. We do not have our girls living out of their homes.
Oh PD she is not really living outside the home. She will be here every off day and you guys can see her anytime . Afterall she is in the same city . Think of it just as a safe place for her to be parked in the night.
He looked at Kanta Chachi , "you have encouraged her to be an independent woman. You always wanted her to showcase her potential to the whole world. Think of it as another step in that direction."
Why do not you think over this and let me know the answer . Only thing and that is the reason I came here so early in the morning, is that I need to tell my broker , immediately whether I am taking that apartment or not, else I lose the deal.
So I am here ..aap log aapas mein salaah kar le ( discuss it amongst yourselves) and let me know in the next 30 minutes.
He saw them moving inside . He already knew who is supporters were... PD , Nehal and Mohit .
Dadaji was the active opponent and both Chaachus and Mansi Chaachi fence sitters .Kanta Chachi was the final decision maker.
Mehak ..well she was just going to bewildered . Her eyes were already asking him what was he upto .He will be damned if he told her what was he upto.
He knew he had played his cards right
Playing on Mehak's professional attainment did the trick . PD was able to overrule Dadaji's objections and Kanta Chachi had tilted to trusting Mehak to handle her independence where it could further her career as a professional. Nehal and Mohit's support as that was being with the times also played on Kanta's mind
Shaurya walked out with a smile. He had used his negotiation skills to the maximum and got the outcome he was looking for. He did not think it was relevant for this discussion for anyone to know that he owned a penthouse on the top floor of that condo which he intended to start using more often now.
He had begin whistling as he approached his car , when he heard his name being called out.
He turned back to see Mehak come running after him.
His smile grew bigger.
Mehak was breathless ,by the time she caught up with him
Yes Ms Sharma ..
The condescending man was again using that husky tone with her..if only she did not find it that sexy.
Why are you doing this ?
Why am I doing what ?
This whole apartment thing , she said flipping back an errant lock of hair that kept blowing in her eye.
He gently tucked back tha lock behind her ear.
Because I like taking care of yo...I mean my employees
Besides I like you being more productive .
You mean I do not work hard enough ...
There she goes again misunderstanding him ..what is wrong with this girl.
I did not say that ..i just believe you could do more, if you were not hassled about this commute and reaching back
I do not think I will use the apartment much for sleeping in the night
Well I am sure there are many more pleasurable things you can do in the night in that apartment ..Ms Sharma..
He laughed as she turned red .
I am not that kind of girl Mr Khanna.
Oh ok if you are not a TV watching kind of girl ..you could always curl up with... a book..
But why would you turn red at thought of TV or a book Ms Sharma? He asked with mock curioisty

Oh you are insufferable Shaurya .. she turned in a huff and ran back to her home as his laughter chased her..
