Chapter 53

 

 

Maan goes down in the Hall and whle family is actually there. No one feels like going to office and they are managing work from home.

 

Viccky:"Bro… how is Geet now, she was just missing you these days…. Mujhse bhi baat nahi ker rahee thee"

 

Maan:"hmm… she is Ok, you go and give her company and try to keep her mood up."

 

Viccky immediately went upstairs to Geet's room, Geet his best friend has gone thru so much it was beyond his imagination…. He never thought anything such could even touch their bubbly Geet

 

Maan while standing: "Mujhe aapsab se kuch baat kernee hai"

 

Dadima:"Maan aram se baithiye beta…. We all know you are troubled after seeing Geet in that condition"

 

Maan: "Dadima, I want to marry Geet today.. I can't leave her alone for a single moment from now… kya halat ker lee hai usne apnee"

 

Mr Handa: "Maan we all can understand your situation son and we had already decided for the marriage date and it's just 15days from today"

 

Maan:"nahi… mujhe aaj he usse shadi kernee hai…. Uncle I can't leave her in this condition…. Applog meri baat samajhiye… have I ever forced any of my descision on you all… no… but this is Geet aur uske taraf se main ek bhi chance nahi le sakta….."

 

Mr Khurana:"Maan beta…it's a matter of just few days"

 

Maan:"Dad…. You are talking about few days; I have seen how one night destroyed all her happiness…. I am not ready for any risk now"

 

Mrs Handa: "Bete hum sab sambhalenge na usse"

 

Maan:"haan app sab sambhalenge usse… 3 din bas 3 din maine ignore kiya usse…. Pata bhi chala aap logon ko kab usne apna aisa haal ker liya…. Aunty her mind is not stable, kab usse sab yaad aata hai aur kab who kuch karlegee aapko pata bhi nahi chalega…. Please try to understand"

 

Darji: "Mere hisab se maan bilkul sahi kerh raha hai…. Geet ko abhi bass Maan he sambhal payega… Shadi ke tareekh ke chakar me hamree bitiya ko kuch na ho jaye… kahin der na ho jaye"

 

Mr Handa:"per adhda din to beet gaya… abb kaise hoga arrangement itnee jaldi"

 

Maan:"tou ek upay hai…We can go for registered marriage today and after 15 days as you all have planned we can have a marriage with all rituals that you want…. Waise bhi main tou in rasmo ko manta bhi nahi per Geet ko aur app logon ko achcha lagega isliye"

 

Everyone thought for a while but thinking was of no use as Maan had already decided and he was right as far as Geet's condition was concerned to they all agreed.

 

Maan goes upstairs and asks viccky to take time in marriage registrar office and that was no worry and Khurana and Handas were involved.

 

Maan in Geet's room:"Geet abb main tumhe apnee banana jar aha hoon samjhee… so dare you try to harm my Mishty"

 

Tears welled down Geet eyes…. She had no words and she just hugged Maan tightly….

She did not know that if she actually ready for it in her present state but Maan said it and he wanted it…. And that was all for her.

 

"Bohut khush ho rahen hain apne ser pe mujh jaise bala ko lekar…."

 

He kissed her forehead, "get ready and I will check if everything is taken care of properly".

 

Mrs Handa came to get Geet ready but the moment Maan left geet drownd back in sadness…. the pain was too deep, how could she let anyone other than Maan see her and not only that, he had tore her each and every piece of cloth on her and she had to run around the room with nothing ON infront of him to save herself …. This all had gone deep inside her and it was too early to expect her to get out of it.

 

Mrs Handa:"Geet bete… yeh le yeh pehen le main tujhe saja detee hoon"

 

Geet:"Aise nahi jaa saktee??? "

 

Mrs Handa:"Maan ke liye…"

 

And that was it; she took her clothes to change

 

So everyone reached to the Marriage registrar Office, Maan and Geet exchanged the garland, Maan placed sindur on her parting, they signed on file and papers wherever required, pictures were clicked and after all formalities, Maan and Geet were declared Husband and wife. Every one hugged them when they took blessings and also hugged each other…. Not big celebration was made seeing geets mode, just the sweets were distributed.

 

Maan and Geet were then taken to temple for blessings as all rituals will take place after 15 days.

 

Maan had already decided to work from home and manage everything remotely till Geet returns back to her old self and their dads were there to look into the office where personal touch was needed.

 

Geet was going on with Maan to KM now, everyone knew that was best for her.

 

In Khurana Mansion, proper welcome was done for Geet…. While maan wanted no such formalities but ladies in house would not listen as how could they bring their eldest bahu, that too Geet without proper ways. Geet, who would otherwise enjoy all this, at present just wished to run to maan's room and hide herself in his embrace.

 

Maan noticed Geet, his eyes were continuously observing of how comfortable or incomfortable she was with all this happening…. He too wanted all this to end and take Geet to himself and somehow soothe her.

 

Family also knew that they needed their time alone together and thus tried to finish everthing fast.

 

It was 8pm night by now… Geet who had no strength to keep up with all this for so long in this mental state was just somehow able to do it all just because Maan was by her side all the time.

 

 

Then everyone hurried, seeing Maan's face getting serious and also Geet's state not looking good.

 

Maan brings geet to his room and closes the door. But the moment, he closed the door Geet hugged him tightly and tears just started flowing….. she had held her for long. Maan just let her do what she was doing, he wanted her to feel light, he was there just for her…. After she had gone thru, this sudden happening and marriage was too much for her heart to hold.

 

He picked her up in his arm and placed her softly on bed…. He placed the pillow behind her back to make her sit comfortably.

 

"aapko he mee liye sab kerna per raha hai… mera dimag he kaam nahi ker raha Maan… kaisee banoongee main achchee patni aapkee"

 

"iss chote se pyare se brain pe jyada zoor nahi daloo… aram karo, main bass tumhare paas hee hoon… anyways, it was too hectic a day" and he sat beside her

 

Geet came near him, held his arm from both her hands and rested her cheeks on his chest…

 

"Maan main jobhi bolungee aap sunege na…. I have so many things in mind I want to speak everything to you"

 

"Geet I am here and everywhere just for you…. Yeh zindagee bass tumhare namm hai hmm… but now you are very tiered… so just take rest for a while"

 

"Nahi… bolna hai mijhe…please Maan"

 

And Maan knew Geet will not take rest until she is done

 

"Achcha bolo"

 

"Don't stop me in middle….. I have been thinking this these day….."

 

"hmm… bolo"

 

"Maan…. He saw me everywhere….I had nothing on, he tore my clothes, each on by one and to save myself from not letting him touch me, I was running all around in room, infront of without anything ON"… Maan closed his eyes tight in pain and tightened his fists in anger

 

If just listening was so painfull for him, what must Geet be going thru…. He will do anything on this earth to make her feel better but he felt so helpless

 

Geet's grip tighten on him

 

"it doesn't go away from my mind…. I want you to wash it away Maan…."

 

Maan got confuse and Geet paused as how to say what she was going to say, but she started again
