Chapter 4

In the pretext of questioning Arjun and Shree, Rathore and Ayesha take them into another room. Rathore immediately rounds up on Arjun and said "Fiancee, Arjun. We agreed on Fiancee. Hadd hoti hai laparwahi ki, Arjun. Arjun just folded his hands and said "As a husband, Rathore I have the right to stay in her room at the Raizada mansion and this gives me access to her room. Samjhe ya Samjhau?. Rathore set to go in another tyrant but is interrupted by Shree, "Please don't fight. Riya is fighting for her life in there. Please just don't fight. Ayesha squeezes Shree's shoulder and Shree sits in the chair heavily. Rathore glares at Arjun but walks towards Shree and sitting beside him said "Shree, Riya is a strong person. She will fight back. Nothing will happen to her. Shree nods his head but doesn't say anything. Arjun said softly "Shree. Shree looks at him and Arjun said "We need to know about Riya's background. And who to contact. Shree wipes his eyes and removes his specs said "Riya wouldn't want any of her family members to know about this?. Ayesha said "Why?. Chotu knocks and enters as Shree said "Because none of her family members know that Riya is a police officer. Rathore, Ayesha and Arjun were shocked whereas Chotu did not look surprised. Seeing Shree still trying to control himself, Chotu sat beside Shree and took up the narrative "Riya's previous name is actually Lavanya Kashyap. She changed her name to Riya Lavanya Kashyap Mukherjee. Riya never said, why she made her name like this. Her family members as far as we know are not even aware that Riya's name change has taken place. Riya's only contact with her family members has been through her lawyer. The last time Riya had a personal contact was when she was 18 yrs old and she fought a case to get her share of the property assets of her family. Rathore asks "Any resentment from any of her family members for Riya?. Shree snorted and said "Resentment is a small word for what her family members feel about her Rathore sir. And the feelings are mutual on Riya's side also. Ayesha said "So could they have planned the attack on Riya?. Chotu replies "No, that's impossible. Riya is careful on not portraying where she is to her family members. Last time I heard about her family members, Riya told me that they still think that she is in London, partying her share away. Rathore rubs his hand over his face and notices the choice of word Chotu uses. The team member which ended up being more precious to all four of them than he realized is more complicated than any of them realized. Ayesha asks the question "Whom do we contact then?. Feeling his phone vibrate, Rathore takes his phones and his stance stiffens and he said to Ayesha "I have to go. Singh is here. Both she and Arjun nods and Rathore leaves. Ayesha then ask the question on both her and Arjun's mind "Is there anyone we can contact then?. But both Shree and Chotu were unable to give answer to that question.

Rathore steps outside the hospital and turns to the darkest corner where there is no light. Reaching that corner, he spies the figure all dressed up in black. Although Rathore didn't want to say it but his position could not afford such liberties as he said "Jai Hind Singh Sir. Singh said "Jai Hind Rathore. Why did you call me here?. Rathore just said one word "Riya. Singh understands and gestures Rathore to follow to a bench and sit down. Both of them settle on the bench and Rathore said "You lied to me about her. Singh said "No Rathore, I never lied to you. She is the best in Research. Rathore said "You also never mentioned that she is an undercover agent. Singh said "And I never saw any reason to mention that. Rathore looks at him and said sarcastically "And may I know the reason why I wasn't in a position to know? Singh looks at him and sees the distrust for him in his eyes. He sighs and knew that he had to reveal the real reason why he hid this information. He said "Do you know Rathore how many assets do we have in the high society?. Rathore stays silent just waiting for him to continue. Singh continues "How much ever do we ever look for the criminals but there is always someone higher than him and more powerful who is difficult to catch. And in today's times, these people have also become smarter. With the use of technology and use of money they are able to mask their involvement in criminal activities. But why would these powerful people suspect someone who has been a part of their circle from the start itself? And that's where I bought Riya in. Her background itself showed that she is a model who had modelled for some big campaigns, her contacts were enough for her to gain access to such people. I saw an opportunity to input an asset and I took it. Rathore asked "then why didn't she continue with that work itself? Why did you make her a part of our team?. Singh said "Riya was starting to become restless in her work. Even though her position was enough to continue her access, but her handler and her relationship were not nice to say the least. Rathore asked "Who was her handler?. Rathore could see that Singh was going to answer in the negative and he said in a quiet voice "Riya is my team member Singh Sir. And you can make sure that if you don't cooperate then I will make sure that I will put every resource of mine to see that your life is very uncomfortable. Singh said "Rathore, are you threatening me?. Rathore said "You can consider that as a threat your wish Sir. Singh looked at him and said "Sharma. Uday Sharma. Rathore stiffens and said "The Uday Sharma who is suspended till the Internal Affairs investigates about his blackmailing? Singh looks at Rathore and said "Who do you think tipped off the Internal Affairs about his blackmailing in the first place?

Arjun is sitting his head on his hands and he hears a voice said in a puzzled manner "Arjun Sir. Arjun looks at him in shock and sees Riya standing in front of him watching him with a puzzled expression. Arjun immediately walks towards Riya and putting his hand on her shoulder said "Riya are you fine? What are you doing here? When did you get up? Where is everyone?. Riya looks at him still with a puzzled expression and said "Arjun I am fine. And when did I get up? When was I sleeping? And look we are late. Come on we have to go somewhere. Before Arjun could ask where they were going , she takes his hand and walks pulling him with her in tow towards the entrance of the hospital. She opens the entrance and the next second Arjun sees they are standing in front of the fire. Turning he sees Riya is a bridal suit with his sindoor and mangalsutra on her. He said furiously "Riya what are we doing here? You should be at the hospital Riya. You were injured. But Riya seems to not listen to him and comes towards him and hugs him, his hands automatically enclosing around her. She pulls his head down and said "You always said Arjun Sir that there is always a story behind every crime and there is always a beginning to a story. Well this story starts from a marriage Arjun Sir. Samjhe Ya Samjhau?. And the next second Arjun wakes up gasping. Shree is beside him and he sees others going to make a move but stopping remembering where they were. Shree whispers "Arjun sir, are you okay? . Arjun just said "Marriage. Shree looks at him with a puzzled expression. Arjun said "If we want to know what happened to Riya, then we have to go to the beginning. When Riya and I got married.
