Chapter 2

Continued from Chapter 1
——————————————Hardik Bhai’s house---------------------------------

Determined to leave her past pain and heartbreak behind, she eats breakfast and gets ready and gathers all her books and is about to walk out of the door and she tackles with a hard figure that just entered through the door and her books go flying out of her hands and she’s stumbles and is about to fall back, when a firm pair of hands catches her at the right time, preventing her from the hurt she would have gotten. As soon as Raavi sees Shiva holding on to her with a worried look on his face, she furiously pushes him away and is almost pushed back herself by the force exerted.

Shiva in a concerned tone "Aye chipkali, kya kar rahi hai, aise dhakka kyun mara, agar tu gir jaati toh, tujhe chot lag jaati toh"

Raavi snapped back at him "Gir jaati toh gir jaati, uss mein kaunsi badi baat hai, ab toh aadat ho gayi hai mujhe girne padne ki"

Taking a deep breath, Shiva explains "Dekh Raavi, main jaanta hoon, tujhe bohut dukh hua hai aur tu gussa bhi hai, iss liye toh main yahan tujhse maafi maangne aaya hoon, apni galti sudharne aaya hoon"

"Maafi!?" says Raavi saracastically, "Mujhe koi maafi nahi chahiye, aur waise bhi maafi toh tune pichli baar bhi maangi thi, par phir bhi hum aaj yahan aise, iss mod pe khade hai"

"Raavi, main jaanta hoon maine tujhpe ilzaam lagaya, pann abhi mujhe sach pata chal gaya hai, aur main tujhe ghar wapas lene aa gaya, main sab theek kar doonga, tu jaisa chahiye waise hoga, tu ghar chal" said Shiva desperately.

Raavi glaring at him says "Kis haq se ghar leke jaayega mujhe, haan, shayad tu bhool gaya Shiva, humara talaak ho chuka hai, ab hum pati-patni nahi reh, aur kal hi toh tune mujhse kahan tha, ghar wapas kabhi mat aana".

Shiva takes a step towards Raavi and says "Main maanta hoon, maine gusse mein aake yeh sab keh diya, jab maine tujhe uss Bua aur Anita ke saath dekha, mujhe aisa laga ki tu unke saath mili hui hai aur—"

Raavi takes a step back from him and says "Aur phir tune har baar ki tarah mujhpe vishwas nahi kiya, aur saara blame mujhpe daal diya, haina, tujhe humare rishte pe naa hi mujhpe kabhi bharosa tha, bachpan se jaanta hai na tu mujhe, phir tune kaise soch liya ki main Dhara Di ke saath aisa karoongi"

pausing for a moment with hurt in her eyes.

She continues "Khair, chodo ab inn sab baaton ka koi fayda nahi, waise bhi ab yeh rishta khatam ho chuka hai, aur mujhe iss baar aur baat karke, khud ko aur dard dene ka koi shauk nahi hai"

"Raavi, ek baar meri baat sunle—" pleads Shiva only to be cut off by Raavi who says "Iss liye toh Gaumbi ko maine bola tha ki tu aaj aake mujhse baat kar le, main sirf iss liye baat kar rahi hoon kyunki main Gaumbi ke baat ka maan rakhna chahti thi, main unse kahan tha ki main teri baat sunungi, bol jo bhi bolna hai, jaldi, mujhe college jaana hai, bohut kaam hai" indifference in her tone.

The indifference in her tone was something which he had never witnessed, it pierced in his heart like a dagger. Earlier, every fight of theirs had been full of anger and angst. But there was something different about Raavi today, she seemed unaffected and apathetic about the conversation they are having, like she doesn’t care anymore about their relationship. She didn’t sound like the Raavi he knew.

Nevertheless Shiva continues to explain to her "Main jaanta hoon Raavi, ki maine tujhe bohut takleef di hai, aur bachpan se leke aaj tak kabhi tujhe khushi nahi di, naa hi tujhe chain se jeene diya, inn sab ke liye main maafi maangna chahta hoon, mujhe pata hai, maine jo kiya woh maafi ke laaikh nahi hai, iss liye main tujhse maafi ki ummeed bhi nahi karoonga, aur tujhe apni life apne tareeke se jeene ka pura haq, main bas chahta hoon ki tu humesha khush rahe, iske liye mujhe jo karna padhe main karoonga, tere har dard, har takleef ke liye mujhe tu koi bhi sazaa de, sab manzoor hai mujhe" while looking at her unaffected stoic face. But he doesn’t get shattered by it, because he knows how much of pain she must have gone through because of him and he just wants to reassure her that he will never break her trust again.

"Main jaanta hoon ki maine tujhe mujhpe bharosa karne ke liye kabhi koi wajah nahi di, par ab dena chahta hoon, tujhe jitna waqt lena hai tu le, main kahin nahi jaa raha hoon, zindagi bhar tera interzaar karta rahoonga aur tujhe jab bhi meri zaroorat hogi, main humesha tere saath doonga" says Shiva firmly looking into her eyes with such conviction and truth.

He starts picking up the books that flew when they collided and says "Tujhe college ke liye der ho rahi hai, hum iske baare mein phir kabhi baat karlenge, jab bhi tujhe sahi lage. Main tujhse maafi expect nahi kar raha hoon Raavi, naa hi kuch aur, tu jaise hi hai, mujhe waise hi acchi lagti hai, tera gussa, teri zidd, teri nafrat, sab manzoor hai, pann yaad rakhna, agar tujhe kisi bhi cheez ki zaroorat padhi, toh mujhe phone karna, main aa jaaonga, theek hai? Agar tujhe apni saare badaas nikaalni ho, tabhi bhi phone uthana aur mujhe gaali de dena, main khushi khushi sunn loonga" giving her a smile despite the hurt he’s feeling to leave her here and go, he understands that she needs her space and he must not force her to make any choices. 

"Chal tu college ke liye nikal, main ghar jaata hoon, tujhe college chod doon?" handing over her books.

Snatching all the books from Shiva, Raavi said "Mujhe teri help ki koi zaroorat nahi hai, waise bhi jo bhi humare beech tha, woh sab kal khatam ho chuka hai, ab main sirf wahin karoongi, jo mujhe karna chahiye, logon se mera na koi matlab hai na koi vaasta, log sirf dard aur takleef dena jaante hai, aur agar tujhe aisa lag raha hai, ki tu aise mujhse sweetly baat karega aur main sab bhool jaaongi, toh galat lag raha, kyun ki main Pandya Niwas mein wapas kadam nahi rakhungi, uss ghar se ab sirf dard bhari yaadein judi hai, aur main apne aap ko kabhi uss daur se guzarne nahi dungi"

Shiva in his mind ponders over his thoughts "Teri har shikhayat aur tera gussa sab mujhse hai Raavi, mere pariwar waalon se nahi, pann koi baat nahi, waqt ke saath main sab kuch theek kardoonga aur tujhe Pandya Niwas bhi wapas leke jaaonga, chahiye mujhe uske liye kuch bhi karna padhe" while glancing at her fleeting figure. His heart aches with the fact that she left but even more by the amount of pain she suffered due to him.

Raavi catches an auto to go to the college and is lost in her instrospection of what Shiva said but she brings herself out her zone and into reality and says to herself "Tu kamzoor nahi padh sakti Raavi, tujhe yeh karna hoga, tu phir se Shiva ke baaton mein aake apne ko hurt nahi kar sakti, tu sirf apne studies pe focus karegi, you can do this”.

----------------------------------------------Pandya Niwas------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Shiva leaves for Pandya Niwas and sees Krish leaving for college, goes to talk to him,

"Aye Krish, idhar aa, wapas aate waqt Raavi ko bhi college wapas lete aana aur usse sahi salamat Hardik Bhai ke ghar pe chod de, theek hai?"

Krish mocks him, "Wah re wah Shiva, concern and all, pann main kyun unhe college se leke aoon, tu khud jaa, agar tujhe itni hi chinta hai toh"

Rolling his eyes and hitting a tapli on Krish’s head, Shiva says "Gadhede, zyaada shaana mat ban, agar tune bakwaas ki na, main Rishita Bhabhi ko tere aur Kirti ke baare mein bata doongi, phir woh tujhe Kirti ki life se 1 to 2 ka 4 hone ko bolengi"

"Arrey main toh mazaak kar raha tha, main Raavi bhabhi ko har din college chodunga bhi aur leke bhi aa jaaonga saath mein, theek hai?” replies Krish with a worried look on his face.

Putting a hand on Krish’s shoulder  and pulling his cheeks Shiva says "Good boy, Chal main dukaan nikalta hoon, tu college nikal” 

—————————————Pandya Store-------------------------------------------

Pandya Store was buzzing with customers today and Shiva and Kaka were busy hustling around, trying to fulfill their demands, ensuring that the supplies are well stocked. A customer enters the shop and asks for some jeera from Shiva, while Shiva keeps himself busy in getting the jeera and weighing it, the customer asks "Shiva bhai, suna hai aap ki biwi ko aap ne ghar se nikal diya, sun hai uss ne aap ko domestic violence ke charges pe talaak de diya,acha hua aap ne usse ghar se nikaal diya, warna aisi aurat se aap shaadi mein rehte toh----"

Shiva is boiling with anger as soon as he hears these words and he closes his fists, trying to stop himself from breaking the customer’s face for talking trash about his Raavi.

Just as he’s about to retort back, another female customer chips in saying "Maine yeh bhi suna hai ki uski behen Anita ke saath milke, uss ne Dhara ka Maa banneke sapne ko bhi tod diya, koi bhi ladki itni giri hui kaise ho sakti hai----"

Shiva closes his eyes and clenches his jaw while all the muscles in his body tense up. He sees the supplies track standing in front of Pandya Store and starts furiously marching towards it.
