Chapter 2

To say that the past few days had been shocking would be quite an understatement !

Shiva Pandya was perplexed beyond comprehension. All thanks to the woman he called her wife, or soon to be ex-wife, to sum it up accurately.

The girl whose facial expressions changed every quarter of a second, ever since Maa had announced his alliance and brought Disha home, had off late been behaving as if nothing mattered to her anymore.

He was beyond pleased when he had seen her scrunch up her nose in anger at the unwelcoming intrusion that was being forcefully sent into his life. He had never wished to look up at a woman again the way he did at his wife, much less get married to one. So his heart felt somehow at ease when the feeling sank that for him to belong to someone else would rile his woman’s head.

But ever since the garba night, she appeared quite unbothered as she went along with the task of taking care of his Bhabhimaa and the entire house on her own, day in and out. Disha would make several visits and Suman would shower her with every appealing emotion she could offer, much to his annoyance. But his chudail of a wife would not even spare a glance at him, much less look at the weirdly loving soon to be saas-bahu Jodi. Infact he could swear he had caught her smiling devilishly sometimes or hide a smirk. He wondered what was going on in her head.

Raavi on the other hand had made quite the plan and was now eagerly waiting for the moment she could put it to execution. By the end, she was sure she would kill two birds with one stone. Not only would Suman kaki realize her folly and get tired of her Disha jaap but her husband with a matar-sized brain would also be hers.

Her cousin Sharmishtha, who was settled in Paris and worked for a fashion magazine there had given her a call a few days before she had shifted back to Pandya Niwas to take care of Dhara and her unborn baby. The case being, her company wanted to do a photoshoot for brides belonging to various ethnicities and was currently looking for an Indian model. Sharmishtha had quickly thought of Raavi and was sure that she would make the prettiest bride anyone had ever laid eyes on. She was also aware of her dream to visit Paris someday.

Back then Raavi had rejected the offer much to Sam’s dismay as she lovingly called her cousin. But now seemed like a perfect opportunity and it was as if luck favoured her too. The company had not yet found a model of their liking and Raavi had sealed the deal in the nick of time. Sharmishtha had assured her that she would take care of all her arrangements from tickets to staying, provided she let her know the dates.

Raavi gleed merrily as part one was done well than she wanted it to be.
