Part 2

After the confrontation Ani was relived . He was happy that he could come out of guilt, all thanks to his Bonditha .She who shared with him, that Mini can see and she didn't help her in Hira Mandi. It really opened his eyes. Like an angel he saved him from Mini, he felt that he is indebt to Bonditha for saving him from Mini. Truly she saved him twice. Once by marrying him ,next time by revealing the truth about Mini.

Ani was thankful to God for sending Bonditha in his life. His happiness had no boundries . It was late night so he thought that Bonditha must be sleeping so he too went to sleep .

Next day, Ani woke up with so much hope. The dawn indicated him new life of his and Bonditha . He smiled remembering his Bonditha .His dil ka sukoon.

Ani wanted to meet her whole day but somehow because of something or the other he couldn't talk to her properly . Whenever he talked he felt Bonditha has distant herself from him. He waited as he thought Bon will come with her coconut shell phone . He knows if she has a problem with him ,that she reached him with that. But alas, she didn't come. He went to kitchen , he found Bihari .

"Bihari, where is Bonditha ? Why did she sound so low today? Did someone say something to her?"

"Barrister babu, choti Malkin came to see what you and Saudamini talking. She was sure that Saudamini will harm you. She came to save you, but after few minutes she came back tears pouring her eyes. I asked why. She didn't reply. Today whole day she didn't talk much with any of us. She did her work and went. We really miss her laugh"

Ani's heart sank.

"Has she heard what Saudamini told about our past and marriage truth? Just hope it's not. I need to see her soon and convince her ."

Aloud he asked.

"Where is...Bon..Bonditha ?"

"She went to sleep."

Ani didn't wait a second . Rushed to her room.

Opened the door saying "Bonditha!"

He switched on the light to see Bonditha shivering .

He rushed to her.

"Bonditha....Bonditha .."He called her. He kept his hand on her forehead .

She was burning with fever.

"Bonditha.."

He didn't get any reply . He rushed and brought a bowl of water and a piece of cloth. He wei it and kept on her head with determination if she not get well soon, he will rush her to a doctor ,no matter who is against . For him only Bonditha is important nothing else.

Seeing her like this ,is the last thing he wanted to see. His heart lost the peace . He wanted his chirpy Bonditha back.

"Please Bonditha get well soon. I cannot see you like this. Your silence killing me. If you stay like this , who will encourage me?"

He stayed till late ,time to time changing the wet cloth and checking her temperature . He cannot remember when he fell asleep .

He got up when he felt her move.

She got up seeing him.

"Biristara babu , you are here?.Do you want anything ?"

That very second he felt like he wanted hear Pati babu from her mouth.

" Yes, I want you to get well soon. You had fever last night. " While saying he checked on her.

"Bonditha, your fever has got reduced."

She just nodded her head.

"Do you want something to eat? Is it paining somewhere? Are you alright."

"Biristera babu, Pari didi became Buri did because of me. Right? That is why her father scold me that day . Right?"

Ani felt like his heart pierced with a sword.

It was Mini who was wrong and now this little girl thinks she is at fault. His fear has turned true. He never wanted Bonditha to learn this, though he knew someday he has to face this. No he cannot lose again . Not again . He cannot even think of a day without her. He cannot think about a moment without her smile which cheeted him.

He sat beside her. Held her hand.

" Bonditha , you believe in your Durga Ma . Right?"

Bonditha nodded.

" She never do anything wrong. Right?"

Bonditha nodded.

"Yes, Bonditha ,Saudamini was about to marry me. But God knew she is cruel. As Durga Ma loved me too, she sent you as an angel . You think I saved you. But you too saved me Bonditha . God heard Kaka 's prayers and sent you as an angel to our haveli . Thank you Bonditha for saving me from your buri didi. She didn't turn buri because of you. She was always buri. She had never treated your Koeli or other servants nicely . Ask them. You are my Patni. Best Patni. You always asked me whether you are the best Patni. Right? Yes, you are. Don't worry Buri didi won't come again to trouble us. I asked her to go away. She went far away. She won't come back. Shotti"

"Did you trust me Pati babu?"

Ani lit up hearing Pati babu.

"I only trust my choti Bonditha. "

"Shotti?"

"Shotti!"

Bonditha smiled and clapped .Ani too smiled . He forgot the pain he went through last night.Her smile brought himself back.

"Ok. Now you are not well. So you need to rest. I will bring you some food. "

" But Pati babu , I need to go to kitchen and help Bihari babu..Kaka Sassurji ..."

"Bonditha... I told you right. You are not going anywhere today. "

Bonditha pouted . Ani smiled and went to bring her foid and medicine
