Chapter 3

Next day after their marriage. Sid and Riddhima seems to be happy.

At the nurse station

Sid - Armaan ...aur tum Shilpa(looking at her) kaha chale gaye the phero ke time?

Armaan - Wo kuch kaam tha important.

Sid - Itna kya important kaam tha jo shaadi bhi nhi dekhi.

Armaan - Arey mai aaya tha(fumbles) par par saare log aaege khade hoge toh mai dikha nhi hoga.

Sid - Armaan bahana toh acha bana leta.

Sid leaves from there and Armaan follows him.

Armaan - Sid...sid...sid sun naa. Dekh aisa toh hai nhi ki kuch chupa ho tujhse. Tu sab janta hai. Bhai samjh bhot ulja hua hu. Haan tum dono ki shaadi ho gyi hai. Iss baar meri wajah se tumhari life mei koi problem nahi aegi. Itna keh skta hu. Baki tu samjhdar hai.

Sid - Sorry yaar shayad maine overreact kardiya.

Armaan and Shilpa have their duty together but Shilpa starts behaving awkwardly. She starts avoiding coming an inch nearer to Armaan.

Armaan had it enough. He holds her hand and take her to the fire escape.

Armaan - Kab tak ye ignore ignore ka game khelna hai?

Shilpa - Mai tumhe ignore nahi kar rhi.

Armaan - Seriously? (He looks at her with a serious face)

Shilpa - Wo..jo bhi maine uss din kaha.

(After a min of silence and trying to avoid eye contact)

Armaan - Shilpa, actually. Mai tumne apne muh se apni life ki kahani btana chahta hu. I know tumhe mere aur riddhima ke baare mei pata hai.

Shilpa - Bolo armaan. Bolne se mann halka ho jata hai.

Armaan - Maine jis tarah Riddhima ke liye feel karta hu, shayad hi kisi ke liye kar pau.

Jabse pyaar ka matlab jana h sirf Basket i mean riddhima se hi pyaar kia hai. Humne shaadi krne ka bhi socha tha par ....(a tear started rolling down thinking about that incident). I wish mai sab theek kar skta. But bhot daer ho chuki hai.

Apne pyaar ko kisi aur ka hote dekhna.

(Armaan just wanted to tell her the truth but while telling her it broke him more)

Shilpa - Armaan (wipes off his tear)

Armaan - Mai theek hu. Mai tumhari feelings ki respect karta hu but I can't love you .

(That word just hits Shilpa's heart.

Usse pta tha Armaan ka jawab par phir bhi usse bura lgta hai)

Shilpa - Thats okay (lowering her voice) hum dost toh rhe skte hai na Armaan.

Dosti shyd pyaar se zyaada khobsurat hoti hai.

Armaan hugs her for the first time.

Armaan while hugging her - Thank you samjhne ke liye.

(Armaan had this thing in his heart to clarify about his feelings)

Pager rings

Armaan - Sorry mujhe jana hoga.

Shilpa - Hmm.(smiles at him)

Armaan leaves for his duty.

Shilpa's duty hours are over.

She sits on the bench .

Shilpa (to herself) (Her eyes are filled with tears) - Armaan tumhari isme koi glti nhi hai. Tum apni jagah theek ho. I dont blame you. I blame my heart. I love you no matter what. Aur shayad tumhari life mei ek dost hi shi par....(she doesnt complete her lines) .

(Sajda tera kar na sakoon

Toh bandagi kya bandagi

Tere bina jeena pade

Toh zindagi kya zindagi

Kya rang laaya Dil ka lagaana

Goonje hawa mei bechde dila di duhaiyan

She wipes off her tears.

Shilpa - No more crying. Let's start fresh. Agar positive side dekhi jaye toh aaj pehli baar Armaan ne apne dil ki baat boli hai. I think mujhe apni feelings side kr ke iss dosti ko time dena chahiye.
