Chapter 25 :

On the other side though khushi tried to be strong enough to speak to arnav and give orders. The moment she cut the call, tears started pouring from her eyes. She sat on the floor and clutched the phone saying i love you arnavji. I love you a lot. Lavanya and NK saw this and felt bad for her. Lavanya hugged her and consoled her that everything will be alright. Soon the day passed and khushi joined her course. Here back in RM, as per khushi's order, arnav was not allowed to do any work. He was feeling as a fish out of pond. He always was involved in work and taking rest without working for 2 days was like being on holiday. He took rest and spent time with naani. The guptas came to visit him and he had nice time with his family.

Days passed by. Khushi used to call arnav and tell about her progress. Arnav was in a way happy but at the same time he was missing her badly. But then he knew if that is what she wanted and he was ready to give their relationship some time. He heard from payal that next month was her birthday. He started planning something special for her. He told NK & Lavanya about it and they were ready to help him since they could see how much he missed his khushi. Khushi was in constant touch with Raizaadas & Guptas. Though guptas were worried about her but were relieved that she had NK & lavanya with her.Khushi had changed a lot. Her dressing sense had changed. She started wearing western clothes. But still she was the same old chirpy khushi. She made many friends. Infact there was a guy named Rohan, he was her classmate and was attracted to her. He came to know about her birthday and was preparing for the day to propose her. Lavanya & NK had a slight doubt as they often caught him staring at khushi. When they asked him he just told nothing.

Arnav came to Sydney a week before her birthday. He had carried lot of gifts which was sent by guptas & Raizaadas. He was arranging a party in NK's house. Lavanya was helping them keeping khushi busy so that the party remains as surprise. 

Soon the D-day arrived. Khushi went to her college where all wished her. Later on NK told that she has a surprise. She invited her friends to NK's house for the evening celebration. Lavanya had taken her to a mall to buy some clothes. If was a plan so all her friends along with NK & arnav could surprise her. Rohan on the other hand had purchased a ring for her as a gift. When khushi reached NK's house she felt a cold breeze as if telling her arnav was near. But then she brushed off thinking she was imagining him. She entered the house and found it dark. She called out to lavanya who suddenly was missing. She slowly walked into the hall and switched on the light only to get shocked. All her friends screamed "SURPRISE". The entire house was decorated with fairy lights and in the middle of the hall stood a table with 3-tier chocolate cake with wordings "Happy Birthday Khushi"

There he was standing in all glory in brown armani suit smiling at her. Her arnavji was standing right infront of her.  She just could not move an inch. Suddenly rohan came to her and gave her a tight hug. Seeing this arnav's eyes popped out. NK & Lavanya looked at arnav and at each other thinking of the fireworks which might start any minute and also praying for rohan's well being. Khushi was so lost seeing arnav that she dint know rohan hugging her. All her attention was on arnav. She then saw his expression changing and only then she realised that she was in rohan's arms. She started struggling all the time looking at arnav. Rohan broke the hug and went on his knees and took out the ring and asked khushi

Rohan: " Khushi i know you might feel this weird but i am in love with you. I want to hold you and be with you throughout my life. Will you do the honors of accepting me in your life forever."

NK & Lavanya gasped hearing this. All their friends were waiting for khushi's reply. NK & Lavanya could feel the heat from arnav's body. Khushi was too shocked to saw anything. Lavanya decided to break the silence. She moved towards khushi and placed her hand on her shoulder.

Lavanya: Enough now come khushi get ready and lets cut the cake. Rohan let the birthday girl cut the cake then she will reply to your proposal.

Rohan got up from the floor. Lavanya pulled khushi with her towards room and handed her a packet and asked her to get ready. Lavanya came near arnav and gave a wink. All this was seen by rohan who dint understand who was this arnav. But before he could ask arnav excused himself and moved towards the room. Khushi was standing in the room with a packet in her hand trying to recollect her memory of seeing her arnavji. She was on her dreamland and was bought out of it when she heard a knock on the room door. She kept the packet on the bed and opened the door to get shocked.

Arnav moved into the room and closed the door and locked it. He dint give her any time to react, just pulled her into a bone crushing hug. He missed her a lot. Khushi slowly came out of the shock and hugged arnav with same intensity.

Arnav: Happy Birthday Sweetheart. Did you like the decoration or were you too shocked to see me.that you dint notice my hard work.

He said it with a sad pout. That made her realise that it was arnav who made the decorations and ordered her favourite cake.

Khushi : I am sorry arnavji. I was lost seeing you that i dint notice you.

Arnav: Its ok khushi did you like the gift.

He said pointing to the packet. Khushi moved towards the bed and opened the cover to again gets shock. She knew that it was designed by him. She could feel his touch and love in it.

Khushi : You designed it for me right aranvji.

Arnav: How did know it khushi.

Khushi : I can feel your touch and love in it. I loved it arnavji. Now go i will get ready.

Arnav: Wait a minute sweetheart, there is more in the store. Just change and come i will wait for you here.

She nodded and moved towards the bathroom and got changed and came out. In the meantime arnav had changed into black tuxedo and was looking more handsome. He saw khushi and went to stand infront of her, led her to the dressing table and stood behind her.

He slowly made her wear the gifts which he had purchased. Once she was ready she looked at the mirror and gasped. She stood wondering what is really her.? Arnav looked at her and slowly turned her towards him. He cupped her face and kissed her tenderly. He asked her to get ready. Khushi put little makeup and she was blushing naturally seeing her husband admiring her. She left her hair open with a clip at the centre. They both came out of the room. Khushi's hand around arnav's arm. Both looked perfect as a couple. By now all were jealous seeing this. Girls because they lost him and guys cuz she dint care for anyone other than this person arnav. Rohan was shocked seeing her like this. He wanted to know who is this arnav but then decided to ask later.Arnav led her to the cake where NK, NK's parents LA's parents and her friends were standing. Lavanya gave her the knife and asked her to cut the cake.

NK : Not alone khushiji.. No not alone. U have to cut your birthday cake along with nannav, mere bhai. Nannav what are you waiting for. go on help khushiji to cut the cake.

NK's Dad : Well said NK. Come on arnav beta join her and make this moment special. Come on beta cut the cake.

Arnav held khushi's hand and cut the cake. All the while they had eyes on each other. Arnav took the cake and fed her. Khushi took the cake and was about to feed him but stopped but arnav caught hold of her hand and took a small bit of the cake. She then fed lavanya, NK , NK's parents, La's Parents, rohan. 

The party was on full swing. She had received so many gifts from her friends, including NK & LA Parents. They gave her blessings for successful life ahead.Soon dinner was served and all of them decided to retire for the day. Khushi was accompanying her friends outside when rohan pulled her aside.

Rohan : I dont know who is that arnav. I can see you are very much attracted to him. But i love you khushi and i want to marry you. Please think about it and tell me your decision. I will wait for your reply.

Saying this he kissed her cheeks and wished her again and moved out to the parking area. Arnav, NK & LA who had come out to check what was taking so long stood shocked hearing and seeing the sight in front of them. The most affected wa arnav. Khushi just brushed the thought of rohan and turned around to see shocked and hurt filled arnav, scared and tensed NK & LA. Arnav dint say a word, he just turned and left inside to one of the guest rooms.
