Ridhhima sat in her private room with the drip attached to her wrist.. she was waiting for Armaan who has gone to get soup for her.. she smiled as she remembered how tightly he came nd hugged her.. she had seen the intensity of his love at the moment.. his pale face nd swollen eyes told her how much he must have suffered.. she was surprised when he told her that she was unconcious for three complete days.. nd then just as he was about to say something else everyone barged in with smiling faces..

Her chain of thoughts broke when she heard the door being closed.. there he was standing with the tray.. "Armaan.. tum kuch tasty nahi la sakte thhe.. yeh ajeeb sa soup hi mila thha.." She said making a face nd Armaan smiled "Nautanki band karo aur chup chap apna mooh kholo.. phir main bhi tumhe ek special baat batunga.." Ridhhima opened her mouth to retort but stopped when he said special baat.. "Armaan.. kya baat hai batao na.. (she turned her face as he forwarded the spoon towards her saying) pehle baat phir soup.."

Sighing nd giving up Armaan kept the tray on the table nd went closer to her.. they were very close nd Ridhhima was nervous.. Armaan kissed her cheek nd went to her ear.. he let his cold lips linger around on her earlobe for a few seconds nd whispered "You're pregnant.."

Ridhhima was so lost in the moment that she thought that she had just imagined him saying that.. she quickly jerked out of his arms nd asked "What..? are you serious..?" looking at Armaan nodding she was so overwhelmed nd happy, that she held his face nd kissed him full in mouth.. realising what she just did she hid herself in his chest mumbling "I'm so happy Armaan.. We're going to feel the bliss of having a new life entering again.. I Love you.." while Armaan gave his widest smile nd said "I Love You too Jaan.. nd ya this time it will be my princess.. chalo ab finish this soup.. you have to stay healthy for the baby nd yourself.."

"Armaan I want to see Arav nd kiddo.." Ridhhima said when he made her lie down nd was patting her lightly.. "Don't worry love.. I've asked Atul to call them here.. they'll come to meet you soon.. now go to sleep for sometime.."

Ridhhima was happy to see EVERYONE standing around her bed when she woke up.. The D-Gang, all the Malliks, Abhi, Kirti nd Shubhankar.. as soon as she sat taking the support of the bedpost she forwarded her one hand towards Arav.. Rahul smiled nd made anxious Arav sit besides Ridhhima carefully as she still had fractured leg nd stitches on her hand.. she cuddled Arav with the other hand nd kissed him.. "Mama ko dald ho laha hai..?" Arav asked looking at her bandaged hand nd head.. looking at Ridhhima nodding in YES he got up on his knees nd kissed her head nd then the hand saying "Ab nai hoga.. main na mama ko roz aishe hi kishi kalunga.." Ridhhima smiled at him saying "Hmm.. aap to best doctor ho.. ab mujhe bilkul dard nahi ho raha.." while the rest smiled at Arav's proud face too.. after a while of chit chat when everyone was leaving Ridhhima requested Mr.Mallik to stay..

Mr.Mallik came nd sat besides her quietly.. Ridhhima looked at him with a guilty face as Armaan had told her about him knowing the truth about Ridhhima nd Shashank's relation now.. "I'm sorry papa.. maine aapse apni family ke baare mein jhoot bola.. lekin papa maine yeh sirf isliye kiya kyunki main apne beete kal ki buri yaadien bhulana chahti thhi.. phir aapse itna pyar mila ki main sach mein sab kuch bhool gayi.. kuch yaad thha to yeh ki main aapki sabse pyaari beti hoon.. aap please mujhe jo chahe sazaa dein, lekin apne se dur matt kariyega.. please papa.." Ridhhima was now in tears nd her voice was cracking due to this..

Mr.Mallik got up from the stool nd sat besides her on the bed.. he wiped her tears nd hugged her.. "beta main tumhe apne se dur kabhi nahi kar sakta.. main samajhta hoon, tumne jo saha vo theek nahi thha.. aur tum meri beti ho aur humesha rahogi.." listening to Mr.Mallik's affectionate tone she hugged him nd cried her heart out.. as her sobs subsided Armaan came in with Nikki while the rest have gone home to take some rest.. They came in yet stood quiet..

Mr.Mallik again started when Ridhhima was quiet.. "Ridhhima.. Beta mujhe lagta hai ki tumhe apni family ko maaf kar dena chahiye.. (looking at trio's frowning faces he continued) dekho beta, tumhare papa ne jo kiya tumhare liye kiya.. aur ek pita hone ke naate main yeh samajhta hoon.. main bhi Nikki ki shaadi aise hi nahi karaunga.." cut in between by Ridhhima "to kya agar kiddo ki koi pasand hogi to aap usse milenge bhi nahi.. usse test nahi karenge.. bas faisla sunayenge ki uski shaadi kisi aur se hogi..?"

This was both a question for the sake of Abhi nd Nikki nd it was also a way of Ridhhima to express what Shashank had done.. Mr.Mallik thought for a minute nd said "Beta main manta hoon ki tumhare papa ki kuch galtiyan hain.. nd I promise to not repeat them kyunki Nikki ke liye ladka tum aur Armaan dhundoge.. main sirf uska final test lunga.. mujhe sach mein lagta hai beta that they deserve atleast one chance.. rest is upto you.. I know yeh sab ek second mein nahi hoga but atleast give it a try.. take care beta.. I'll be back in some time.." saying so he kissed Ridhhima's forehead nd left giving her an assuring smile..

It was evening by now Armaan had gone home for an hour got fresh nd came back.. now it was only them while unknown to them outside Gupta family was there who were getting in but stopped when they heard AR talking..

"Armaan tum bolo na.. tumhe bhi lagta hai ki mujhe Dr.Gupta ko ek aur chance dena chahiye..?.. I'm confused Armaan.. maine itne saal jo nafrat unki aakhon mein dekhi hai main usse ek din mein kaise bhula doon..?. lekin main papa ko mana bhi nahi karna chahti.. unhone mujhe bohot pyar diya hai.. yahan tak ki aaj mere sorry kehne par maaf bhi kar diya.. (she frowned looking at him) kya hua tum yeh stupid si smile kyun de rahe ho.. help me na.." she said pouting like a kid..

Armaan smiled looking at her nd then sat besides her on the bed, nd kissed her head lightly.. "tum aise baat karte hue bilkul Arav ki tarah lag rahi thhi.. (looking at her frowning face) achha baba.. no mazaak.. main tumhe ek bohot simple solution batata hoon.. So the solution is sabse pehle Dr.Gupta ko naam se bulana band karo.. address him the way you used to.. nextly try to be okk with him.. give yourself nd him a little time.. Tell Arav to call him nana so that even Arav starts to get comfortable with him.. (as she was about to say something he cut her in between) Now don't deny the fact that Arav's awkward behaviour in front of your father doesn't worry you.. I know it does.. mujhe pata hai yeh sab ek din mein nahi hoga, but give it a try Jaan.. nd trust me I'm with you.. Doctor ho to doctor ki tarah kaam karo.. beemari ka diagnose to ho gaya lekin vo theek tabhi hogi jab usse sahi medicine di jaye.. right.."

Ridhhima was touched at Armaan's concern nd by the perfection with which he knew her.. she looked in his eyes nd in a very low tone asked "tumhe sach mein yeh sahi lagta hai..?.. unhone tumhari kitni baar insult ki.. tumhe kabhi nahi apnaya.. yahan tak ki mujhe aur Arav ko tumse dur karne ki koshish ki.. aur phir bhi tum.. kyun Armaan..? tumhe yeh sab sahi kyun lagta hai..?"

He smiled lovingly at her innocence nd naive question nd in a very adorable tone explained to her "Dekha.. phir se vo buri yaadein.. Ridhhima sabse pehle tumhe past bhulna hoga tabhi tum present aur future ke baare mein soch paogi.. aur sach kahun to mujhe yeh sahi iss liye lagta hai kyunki.. kyunki main chahta hoon ki tum ab apni family se dur na raho.. family se dur hona kya hota hai main jaanta hoon.. aur agar tum na hoti to shayad mein aaj bhi Dad se baat nahi kar raha hota.. I know you miss them baby.. nd you deserve all the love nd happiness in this World.. Moreover, we can't deny the fact ki agar unhone meri insult ki hai to humne bhi bohot bar unhe jawaab diya hai.. aur galat to vo bhi thha na.." Ridhhima knew Armaan was right nd had No reasons to protest so she just hugged him..

"I Love You Armaan.. tum humesha meri problems bohot easily solve kar dete ho.. lekin ek aur problem hai.. ab main Dr.Gupta.. I mean.. papa se baat kya karu..? vo to mujhse milne bhi nahi aaye.." Ridhhima said making a baby face..

"Don't worry Love.. Anjie ne bataya thha ki vo aaj ayenge tumse milne.. aur ab unhe papa hi bulana.."

After hearing AR's conversation Shashank just went to his cabin nd cried his eyes out.. even Padma was crying while Anjali was trying to support them..

As if after ages Shashank finally gathered all the courage nd moved towards Ridhhima's room.. entering quietly he saw Arav feeding her Apple slices while she was whining nd Armaan was smiling at the duo.. "Armaaaaannnn.. tumne yeh achha nahi kiya.. tumhe pata haina, main Arav ko na hi mana kar sakti hoon aur na hi dant sakti hoon.." Ridhhima said with her mouth full of Apples nd Armaan giggled loudly saying "Well maine tumhe warn kiya thha.. agar tum pehle hi sharaafat se yeh fruits aur medicines kha leti to mein Arav ko tumhare peeche nahi lagata.."

"Lekin tumne isse kaha kya..? " Ridhhima asked glaring Armaan who smiled nd said "bas itna hi ki agar tum time par nahi khaogi to usse uska bolne wala teddy jaldi nahi milega.. aur tumhe to pata hai ki usse Kasauli se aane ke baad ek chota baby chahiye thha.. jiske saath vo khoob khele.." Armaan giggled at Ridhhima's shocked face while Arav made her eat the last slice saying "mama bash yeh lasht hai.. phir chote baby ko bhooki nai lagegi.."

Ridhhima smiled at his statement nd concern.. she cuddled him closer to her kissing his forehead, smiling even more widely but her smile dimmed as she saw her family standing by the door smiling at them.. She looked at their glum faces nd bowed her head down.. Armaan noticed this change nd turned to see where she was looking.. He smiled looking at Gupta Family nd invited them in.. Arav also turned his attention to them.. he was so excited to tell them that he is now gonna be a big brother.. "Nani.. maashi.. (he paused looking at Shashank nd then looked at Ridhhima who smiled assuringly so he continued) NANU.. main na ab big boy hoon.. mama ke paash mele liye chota baby hai.." 

They smiled at his innocence nd enthusiasm.. nd Shashank was in tears.. his grandson had first time called him NANU.. he was so happy.. he looked gratefully at Ridhhima nd Armaan.. nd then came to Armaan.. he folded his hands in front of him saying "Mujhe pata hai ki main iss layak nahi hoon.. lekin agar ho sake to please mujhe maaf kar dena.. maine tumhe bohot galat samjha aur tumhare pyar ko bhi.." Armaan was surprised at this.. he held his hand nd smiled saying "Galtiyan humne bhi ki hain sir.. aapko maafi mangne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai.."

They sat there for a while.. Anjali was called for an emergency while Armaan decided to leave Ridhhima alone to bond with her father again so he signalled Padma nd went out excusing himself.. While Arav wasn't willing to leave Ridhhima's side for even a minute so he was left there with Ridhhima nd Shashank..

There was an awkward silence in the room.. Ridhhima was fidgeting with the hem of the comfortor while Shashank was gathering courage to face her.. he knew he has to do it.. "Ridhhima.. main janta hoon ki main tumhe apni beti kehne ka haq kho chuka hoon.. maine tumhare saath, Armaan ke saath aur Arav ke saath jaise behave kiya vo bohot galat thha.. I'm Sorry.. main sirf ek mauka chahta hoon beta.. apni galti sudharne ka.. tumhe aur Anjali ko tumhari khushiyan dene ka.. aur Arav ke mann se apne liye darr nikalne ka.. plz beta sirf ek bar.. "

Shashank said in a pleading tone nd crying.. Ridhhima knew this is for real.. while Arav was confused.. "aap roiye matt.. maine kabhi aapko rote nahi dekha.. papa.." this was it.. as Ridhhima called him "Papa" he had a smile.. Ridhhima gave him a small smile too..

Though she felt very awkward.. what a quirk of fate, she was feeling awkward sitting with her father with whom she has spent half of her life nd she feels so much at ease with Armaan's father, who knows her for only last 5 years..

After a long apology session, Shashank got up to go as he knew it was the time for Ridhhima's nap now, she needed rest.. he kissed her head lightly nd put his hand on Arav's head.. while Arav shifted closer to Ridhhima.. Ridhhima looked at the disappointment on Shashanks face nd kissed Arav saying "Darte nahi baby.. Nanu aapse bohot pyar karte hain.."

Still unconvinced he looked at Shashank nd gave a half smile.. Shashank nodded saying "Arav ko shayad abhi time lagega.. (he bent in front of Arav holding his ears) Nanu ab aapko kabhi gussa nahi karenge Arav.. promise.." Shashank kissed Arav's head when Arav gave him a convincing smile nd Shashank left..


This was a magical day for Guptas nd Malliks.. Malliks have got the foundation of the unity nd happiness of their house, Their Ridhhima out of death clutches while Guptas have got Ridhhima, Arav nd Armaan back.. Though they still felt awkward if left alone to strike a conversation but still manage something.. Armaan apologised to Anjali for his rudeness after Ridhhima's accident while she confessed that even she somewhere blamed herself for this accident, just like Jai Mallik thought..

Even Jai Mallik nd Shashank have exchanged apologies for being unfairly rude.. Mr.Mallik was sorry for whatever he said about Ridhhima being suffering because of Shashank's daughter unknown of the fact that Anjali nd Ridhhima are sisters nd Shashank apologised for his cold behaviour towards Ridhhima, Arav nd Armaan..

A week had passed.. things have started to settle down abit.. everyday it was a routine, early morning Armaan would come home to get fresh nd take some home cooked healthy food for Ridhhima.. in the afternoon, everyone would gather around for lunch in Ridhhima's room, including Malliks nd Guptas.. after they would leave Arav would stay back till evening when Abhi visits Ridhhima after his office nd meetings nd also drop off Arav back to Mallik house.. while whole evening either AR would chat about their coming baby nd Arav or Armaan would pamper Ridhhima..

Ridhhima on the otherhand was loving the attention she was getting but little did she knew this is gonna get throttling when she will get back home..Lolzz…

Two weeks passed smoothly.. in all this commotion Atul nd Anjali's love nd suffering were put aside.. even they wouldn't react looking at eachother when everyone is around but would silently cry nd long for their re-union.. Ridhhima was getting discharged in the evening nd Armaan had gone to fulfill all the formalities.. he had asked Anjali, Nikki nd Muski to be with Ridhhima.. as he left Atul entered with an ice-cream tumbler nd Arav in his arms.. his smile somewhat dimmed when he saw Anjali there nd this was very well noticed by everyone present in there.. Nikki nd Muski remembered Jai Mallik's verdict of rejecting Anjali as Atul's wife even though it was pure anger while Ridhhima was completely unaware of it..

"Kya hua hai.. Di..? Atul bhaiya aapko dekh ke ekdum chup kyun ho gaye..?" Ridhhima questioned.. Anjali kept quiet nd Atul tried to make a lie while Nikki interrupted.. "Don't lie to bhabhi, AJ.." nd she tells Ridhhima the truth.. Ridhhima was guilty for what had happened while Muskaan suddenly jumped with excitement.. "Oye.. hum Dad ko manane ka full proof plan to bhool ho gaye.. kya yaar..vahi karte hain na jo humsab humesha karte hain.." she said looking at Ridhhima with meaningful eyes..

Ridhhima widen her eyes in surprise getting Muskaan's implication nd quickly said "No ways.. don't even think about it.. main papa se kuch nahi bolne vali.. vo gussa hue to..?" to which Muskaan instantly replied "Kisse bewakoof bana rahi hai ridzy.. Dad tujhse kabhi gussa nahi ho sakte.. tu hi to ek aisi hai jo unse har baat kar sakti hai aur vo na bhi nahi karte.."

 
In the afternoon when all the Gupta nd Malliks were to gather, as usual Jai Mallik, Shashank nd Padma were there early.. they smiled entering the room seeing Armaan nd Ridhhima having their nok-jhok.. Armaan was reading a novel to her while she was saying she had read it before..

"Arre Jaan.. pehle padhi hui hai to kya hua.. ab main padh ke sunata hoon na.. it will be more interesting.." Armaan said foolishly while Ridhhima whined "Kya interesting Armaan..tum mujhe ek aisi Suspense story suna rahe ho jiska end mujhe pata hai.. nd now if you read another word out of this novel, I will not talk to you.."

Listening to her Armaan immideately closed the book nd threw it on the sofa making Ridhhima giggle.. but it turned into frown as he said "I know tumhe abhi kuch mahino mein phirse vo Fairytales wala obsession hone vala hai jo Arav ke waqt hua thha.." he shook his head as she proudly said "to kya.. tumhe pata hai ek expecting lady last few months mein jaisa sochti hai aur dekhti hai uska baby thoda thoda vaisa hi hota hai.. nd see Arav is a complete fairytale baby prince.."

Just as Armaan was about to retort Mr.Mallik spoke "Okk.. now stop your banter.. aur yeh fairytale obsession kya hai..?" he asked in an confused tone..

"Dad.. vo jab Ridhhima, Arav ke time 5 months pregnant thhi na, tabse usse sote waqt aur free time mein Fairytales padhna aur mujhse sunna acha lagta thha.. itni books to humne baby care ki nahi padhi hongi jitni fairytales padhi hain.." Armaan said mocking to which Ridhhima said "Haan to vo tumhari boring story books se to achha hi thha na.. aur vaise bhi hum doctors hain so we don't really need to learn about a baby's care.. nd did you say ki tum mujhe fairytales suna ke sulaate thhe..?. tum bhool rahe ho ki mujhe vo story sunate sunate tum khud so jate thhe.." they both stopped when they heard their parents giggling at their stupid banter..

"Hmm.. now I know ki tum dono ke paas Arav ko sunane ke liye itni stories kahan se aati hain.." Mr.mallik said teasing the duo who looked embarrassed for picking up such foolish topic to debate on in front of their parents..

After a few minutes when they were normal Ridhhima tried studying Mr.Mallik's face which did not go unnoticed by Armaan nd Shashank.. she then looked at Shashank who gave her a smile which she returned nd gulped.. she gathered all her valor nd addressed both Shashank nd Jai Mallik.. "Papa..!. vo.. ummm.. main.. agar main aap dono se kuch maangon to aap mana to nahi karenge na..?."

They looked at her confused.. looking at her mystified face they both shook their heads in NO.. this gave Ridhhima some more courage nd she finally said it  "Vo..umm.. papa.. vo.. ab jab finally sab clear ho gaya hai to kyun na Atul bhaiya aur Anjali di ki bhi shaadi.." She was cut in between by Mr.Mallik "Ridhhima.. Agar Atul ki khushi issi mein hai to theek hai lekin mujhe thoda waqt lagega Anjali ko apni beti samajhne mein jaise main tumhe aur Muski ko samajhta hoon.."

"Papa.. lekin jo bhi hua usmein di ki kya galti hai.. unhone Armaan aur Atul se nahi kaha thha yeh sab karne ko.. haan unhone Atul ko phone kiya thha lekin agar yeh log unki madat nahi karte to voh sach mein apni jaan le leti.. unhe nahi pata thha ki unke ek step ka yeh nateeja hoga.." Ridhhima said as a matter of factly.. "Lekin beta agar tumhe kuch ho jata to main.." Mr.Mallik said frowning..

"Lekin hua to nahi na papa.. aap sab ka pyar mujhe vapas le aaya.. aur ab aapki beti ki khushi issi mein hai ki aap di ko apna lein.. please papa.. mere liye.. "

Mr.Mallik looked at her pleading baby face nd couldn't help smiling.. he shook his head nd nodded "Theek hai beta.. main iss shaadi ke liye ready hoon agar Dr.Gupta ko koi problem na ho.." as they all turned they saw Shashank in tears.. he was crying to see how lucky he was to have such tender nd loving people in his life.. he just turned to Ridhhima nd Mr.Mallik nd mumbled

"Thank You"..

"Ridhhima.. ab aapka plaster to nikal gaya hai but still you have to walk minimum as your body is still weak.. it needs time to cope up with the accident nd the baby too.. aapke stitches next week khulenge kyunki ab tak aapki chot theek nahi hui hai.. take your medicines on time.. take care of yourself.." Kirti said to Ridhhima while cutting her plaster nd doing her final check up before discharging her.. while Ridhhima just smiled "Thank you mam.."

As she came out with Kirti's support Armaan rushed to her nd held her.. They went to the cars while Armaan lifted her off the wheel chair in his arms nd made her sit in Shashank's car.. "Armaan.. yeh papa ki car hai.." she said to which Mr.Mallik said "Beta Dr.Gupta ne humse request kiya ki he needs some time with his daughter.. to tum ab thode din unke ghar pe rahogi.. aur waise bhi ab Atul aur Anjali ki shaadi ki taiyari bhi karni hai to Anjali ko uski behen ki to zaroorat hogi na.." Mr.mallik said smiling..

Ridhhima looked around to look for Shashank or Padma.. not finding them she indicated Armaan something.. he came closer nd she whispered "Armaan.. main vahan akele bohot awkward feel karungi.. I know, I want this too but please ask muski di to come with me na.."

Armaan nodded understandingly nd went to muskaan who was left smiling at Armaan's concern for Ridhhima nd agreed to accompany her at Gupta's.. Armaan promised Ridhhima to even drop off Arav with her as soon as they reach.. Vaise bhi problem kya hai both bunglows are side by side.. that's why even Armaan agreed at once as he knew he would be there in a minute if Ridhhima needs him..

Finally the things were back to normal between the Malliks nd the Guptas.. both were now busy preparing for Atul nd Anjali's wedding which was scheduled for a week after Ridhhima's full recovery..
