Hues in the Wild
Purple
Purple is the colour of the kings,
Of magic and of pride.
When a femme fatale showers a look,
Or more, purple by your stride.
Purple brings peace to your way,
And grace be your gait.
Sprinkle it light on the flower-beds,
And wisdom be your mate.
Blue
Let the blue be you friend.
Go! Go for what you want
We blues will be always
With you in all jaunt.
Loyal, to you and unto
The Master, we stand by, to serve.
Be not afraid to face the joy,
Not to face the verve.
Pink
Bubble-gum’s blasting away.
Here and there and everywhere.
Pink’s the one in vogue
For colouring the cakes, and what you wear.
Sugar is the taste of pink,
Love is how it looks.
Try the sprinkles and the candy,
By the shade near the brooks.
Red
Claret cherries on the bloom
They’re on the way to growth.
Good and evil, Satan and Cupid
They hold in them the both.
Sweet cherry and sanguine tears
That shreds life and gloom.
Smile. Smile for Cupid;
Vice is in the loom.
