1. Rewritten fate

It was all a de ja Vu! Chaos in the public, cluttering at the back stage. Arnav closed his eyes to take in a good amount of oxygen to calm his nerves.

"Who is she?"
"Theme is red, why's she in green?"
"She's not even walking"

ASR opened his eyes. Everything came back to him like a bam.
There she was pulled by the models in red. They kept a straight confident face at the audience. But she... She couldn't even walk properly in those heels literally.

She had to put all her strength to cope up with the pace of the ladies beside her.
He saw confusion and fear written over her face. It was replaced by defeat when her partners abandoned her in the middle of the stage. She turned around to follow one of them but couldn't walk any further. Pulling her dupatta to the chest, she at once turned to walk away. But fate was rewriting her story.

Her heel twisted, she came crashing into the arms of Arnav Singh Raizada. When she opened her eyes she stared into the rage filled eyes of a man who was going to change her life upside down.

Cameras, flashlight, guests and participants had all their attention on them.
Click... Click... Clack... Clack... Click...
She was brought back to reality.

Expecting him to drop her, she struggled in his arms. But as I said the fate was rewriting their parts, he held her tightly and walked away from the venue.

"Where are you taking me? Put me down please"
He carried her all the way to his room and dropped her carelessly. She lost her balance again but he was busy locking up the door. Being careful with her was an old thing for him. Now it doesn't matter!

"Why are you here?"he asked turning back in anger.
"I'm sorry. I came here by mistake" she had fear all over her face.

"Don't give me that crap again Khushi"

"Belie... how do you know I'm Khushi?"

She looked at him with anticipation but he just gave an unbelievable look.

"I asked you a question. Answer me damnit. Why are you here? Who sent you? Why are you still following me?"

"Do you know me? Are we acquaintances?"

Rolling his eyes and inhaling a hot breath he pulled her by the shoulder.
"Stop messing around with me. I'm not going to entertain any of your games. Asking you the last time. Why are you back?"

She was shaken. In a way it was the first time someone was shouting at her. That too an unknown man. When he pulled her, she realized he's going to cause trouble for her. So she concluded one thing. She's not going to fall into more trouble.

"Leave me. It's hurting" she started struggling.

"I'll not. Not until you answer my God damn questions. Samjhi tum!"

"How am I supposed to answer when I don't even know what this place is. And who are you?"

He gave strong look at her.

"Toh tum mujhe nahi janti huh?"

"Nahi"

He pulled her close.

"Badla lene aayi ho tum?"

"Nahi"

He pulled her closer.

"Hisaab barabar karne aayi ho?"

"Nahi"

She could feel his warm breath on her face.

"Di aur meri zindagi fir se barbaad karna chahti ho?"

"Nahi Nahi Nahi"

Their nose touched. She closed her eyes to gulp the pain due to his hold.
He left her with an unbelievable expression.

"How much are you going to lie? You love playing games right? How can I forget? Girls like you would know what else? I can't believe ki tum itni giri hui hogi. After all that nonsense, you have the guts to come back. Nothing amusing, girna toh tumhari fitrat me hai"

It was like a satire to her situation. She gave a blank look at him.

"Why are you saying all this?"

"Kyu? You thought you can fool me around with your innocence drama?
Credits to you, tum jaise cheap logo ki fitrat pehchaanta hoon mai"

"Aapka dimaag toh thik hai? Kuch bhi boley chaley ja re hai. Bina jaane aap humare character ke baare me aise bol bhi kaise rahe hai? Maaf kijiyega lekin raah chalte kisi bhi insaan ki bezzatti karna humari fitrat me nahi hai. Shayad aapki parvarish hi galat hui hai"

She tried to move but he blocked her way.
"Tum hoti kon ho - to question my upbringing? Bhoolo mat meri parvarish meri di ne--"

"Toh aap kon hote hai humaare baare me aise kehne waale? Humey bura lagta hai aapki family ke liye ki aap jaisa insaan unki zindagi ka hissa hai. Ya fir kahi aapki family bhi aisi hai?"

His anger kept increasing. First she didn't let him finish and now she's insulting his di.

"--hath jaayiye humaare raaste se. Humey jana hai"

He blocked her way and kept moving closer. She didn't move, he noticed. As he was leaning close to her, she caught hold of the edge of the table and walked back only to be blocked..

"Tum kahi nahi ja rahi ho. Not until you spill your motives. Kyu aayi ho tum yaha? After all this time? Kisne bheja hai tumhe? Ya fir khud ka koi plan hai? Mera fashion show barbaad karne ka kitna mil raha hai tumhe?"
She gave a pitiful look at him caged between him and the wall. Suddenly it dawned upon him.

"Toh tum paise banaane aayi ho! Yaad rakhna mai ek footi kaudi nahi dunga. Tum jaisi aurat ke liye toh kaafi asaan hoga ye sab"

"Kya bakwas kar rahe hai aap? Pehli baat toh ye ki aap humey jaante nahi toh ye saare bebuniyad ilzaam lagana band kijiye. Hum chup hai iska matlab ye nahi ki hum chilla nahi sakte. Aur aap hai kaun? Tab se humaare piche padey hue hai.. Agar humaare saath badtameezi khatam ho gayi ho toh please hath jaayiye."

Her pace was halted when he held her hand.

"Kisne kaha meri baat khatam ho gayi hai?"

Her hand was twisted at her back. He moved towards her ear from behind and whispered with hot flames "badtameezi toh maine abhi tak shuru bhi nhi ki hai"

He pulled her veil which now hanged over her twisted hand. When he tore up the blouse dori she started to struggle, in turn twisting her hand more.

He slid his hand over her waist and turned her around to face him. The fear in her eyes satisfied him.

"Now do you remember me?"

"Chodiye humey... Bachao... Help... Help... Please help..."

He just kept looking at her pity self trying to free herself from him. He didn't even realize she had scratched his hand with her free one so he would leave her. But the physical pain was nothing compared to what he was going through emotionally. When she noticed he kept moving his face closer, she raised her free hand to slap him. He caught it midway and pushed her at the wall.

"Shhh..." he whispered.

She turned her face as he continued to speak over her face.

"Koi nahi aayegaa. Chilla lo jitna chillana hai. Ye meri property hai, samjhi tum!!"

"Humey dard ho raha hai" she said without looking at him.

He pressed himself more on her twisted her hand mercilessly.
That's when a tear drop slid across her cheek and he came in to senses.

She didn't know what happened, all she could remember was picking up the dupatta and running away.
