Zakir Khan’s show to go off air

The much-loved comedy series Aapka Apna Zakir is set to end its run. Fans nationwide are saddened by this news. Surprisingly, the show's closure is attributed to its failure to meet expectations, with low ratings prompting the producers to conclude the comedy program.

Times Now/Telly Talk India broke the news, sharing insights from their sources about Aapka Apna Zakir going off the air. According to their sources, “The second week’s ratings of Aapka Apna Zakir are so abysmally low that the makers almost fell off from their chairs. They were only getting big stars and there was nothing interesting about the show when it comes to its creative aspects. Hence, the ratings are low, as the audience has obviously rejected the show."

The insider also mentioned that viewers may have already watched the final episode since only six episodes were filmed. While the channel has opted to remove the show, the producers are eager to take one final chance at reviving it.

For those unaware, Zakir Khan's show debuted its first episode on August 10 and was axed in less than a month. It also signified the comedian's television debut, generating considerable buzz. Prior to Khan's show airing, there were rumors that it would replace KKapil Sharma's show, leading viewers to draw comparisons between the two comedy programs.

Apart from Zakir Khan as the host, the show featured panelists like Shweta Tiwari, Rithvikk Dhanjani, Paresh Ganatra, and Gopal Datt. It attracted numerous Bollywood celebrities who appeared to promote their movies. In recent episodes, stars such as John Abraham, Karisma Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu, Sunny Kaushal, Karan Johar, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao graced the show with their presence.
