Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Kaveri walks out of the Poddar house, Armaan spends his first night without Maira

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhira decides it's time for Maira to meet the Poddar family. She introduces her to each member one by one, Manoj, Manisha, Kiara, Abhir, Kajal, and Sanjay. Then she introduces Tanya and Krish. Tanya playfully says she can only become Maira's aunt if Abhira agrees. When it's time to introduce Kaveri, Maira looks toward Abhira for an answer. Abhira calmly responds that Kaveri is Armaan's grandmother and points out that both Armaan and Kaveri share the same traits.

Later, Abhira turns to Abhir and reminds him about the song he had prepared for Maira. Abhir sings Te Amo in front of everyone, trying to lift the mood. Even though Maira is surrounded by many new faces, she still misses Armaan deeply. Abhira gently tells her it's completely normal to miss someone. But Maira feels that since Armaan was the one who sent her away, he might not feel the same way about her.

At the same time, in Mount Abu, Geetanjali is heartbroken over Maira's absence. She cooks a big portion of khichdi to send to her, as a way to feel close. Dadu tries to comfort her and asks her to come to terms with the situation. But Geetanjali, unable to hold back her emotions, shares that she is also going through pain—just like Abhira. She remembers how Maira used to call her mother and emotionally says that Maira should be with her, as she had raised her since she was just three years old. Geetanjali firmly says Maira needs to return.

Meanwhile, Armaan sits alone in the dark, filled with pain and memories of Maira. He feels like he's losing a part of himself without her around. He reflects that Abhira had not even been with the child for seven years and was completely unaware of Maira's whereabouts. Armaan tries to convince himself to accept the separation and make peace with the hurt, believing that he brought this situation upon himself.

Abhira expresses her gratitude to Anshuman for helping her find Maira and uncover the truth. Anshuman light-heartedly tells her to stop thanking him repeatedly. Abhira worries about Maira's adjustment and how much she must be going through. Anshuman tries to lift her spirits.

Kaveri attempts to have a word with Abhira, but Abhira snubs her. Kaveri confides in Anshuman that she had her reasons for hiding the truth. Anshuman empathises, but doesn't condone her actions.

Tanya checks on Kajal, who silently struggles with thoughts of Pookie. When Krish brings up Charu, Tanya scolds him for being insensitive. Kajal shares that Krish may never truly understand her pain. She resolves to give Pookie all the love and support she couldn't offer Charu. Tanya and Krish clash over the issue, with Krish calling her an unsupportive partner.

As the Poddars attempt to uplift Maira's mood, Abhira makes special efforts too. Kaveri seeks Abhira's forgiveness, but Abhira stands her ground and refuses to let go of the betrayal. Kaveri, feeling defeated, decides to leave. Abhira instructs Vidya to follow her.

Later, Abhira comforts Maira and explains the importance of sharing feelings with one's mother. Maira asks if she can speak to Geetanjali. Abhira tries to soothe her. Maira then questions why Armaan and Abhira separated. Abhira reveals that Armaan believed Maira would be happier with him. Maira agrees, saying he was right. Abhira senses that Maira has yet to come to terms with her emotions and realises she only chose to stay with her out of anger towards Armaan.

In the precap, Maira asks Armaan when he plans to return. He tells her to remain with Abhira. Abhira lovingly prepares food for Maira, who is still missing Geetanjali. Abhira begins to feel that Maira doesn't see her as a mother. Meanwhile, Armaan comes to the painful realisation that he's the reason Maira doesn't view Abhira in that light, and he decides it's time to make things right.
