Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Kaveri reveals her decision to hire Abhira at the Poddar firm

Tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya kehlata Hai episode begins with Sanjay expressing disbelief that Kaveri has given Abhira a job, lamenting the years he spent in the firm. Armaan intervenes, arguing with him, stating that Sanjay had to commend Abhira during the last press conference, highlighting her hard work and talent. He insists that the firm needs her, which is why Kaveri offered her a position. Sanjay questions the decision, noting that Kaveri did not consult them before hiring Abhira and confronting Vidya. 

Meanwhile, Manish instructs the workers to thoroughly clean Ruhi's room. When Swarna inquires about the preparations, he reveals plans to bring Ruhi home and suggests they should also invite Abhira for a traditional ritual. Surekha supports this idea. Ruhi arrives at Abhira's door, complimenting her on the delicious kheer and prompting Abhira to question her sudden kindness. Ruhi expresses her desire for Abhira to accept the job offer, explaining that it was her mother's dream. Abhira retorts, saying she never sought Ruhi's advice.

Vidya confronts Kaveri:

Elsewhere, Manish stumbles at the door and drops the auspicious items, which he interprets as an ill omen. Swarna reassures him, but he expresses a premonition that his daughters may be in trouble. Surekha suggests he contact them, leading Manish to call Abhira and Ruhi. He asks if everything is alright, and Abhira assures him it is. Ruhi reveals Kaveri's job offer to Abhira, which Manish congratulates her on. Abhira, uncertain, asks about their plans, to which Swarna responds that they are heading to the Poddar house for rituals. Abhira and Ruhi request they not come, prompting Manish to laugh at their antics.

Later, Abhira chastises Ruhi for sharing the job news with Manish. Ruhi insists she should accept the offer and enjoy the kheer. Swarna and Manish exchange knowing looks, suggesting they are aware of the girls' deception.Kaveri finds Abhira's nameplate and is approached by Vidya, who expresses frustration at Kaveri's decisions regarding Armaan and Abhira. She questions Kaveri's decision to allow the marriage and asks why she offered Abhira a job when she had previously tried to keep them apart. 

Kaveri reassures Vidya that she sees her as a daughter and explains that her decision was made with the family's future in mind, a vision that Vidya seems unable to grasp. In response, Vidya conveys her feelings of betrayal, stating that both Kaveri and Armaan have failed to understand her, leaving her feeling isolated and alone. She expresses that she once viewed Kaveri as a mother but now feels she is simply a mother-in-law.

Kaveri reveals her reasons:

Armaan arrives and discusses the job offer with Abhira, acknowledging that Kaveri likely has a plan behind it. He asks if she will accept the job, and Abhira expresses her uncertainty about the implications for their relationship. He reassures her of his support no matter her decision before leaving. As Abhira contemplates Kaveri's words, Vidya confronts Kaveri, questioning why she has suddenly become supportive of Abhira after not backing her before. Kaveri explains that with Armaan's commitment to Abhira, he is in a position to maintain family unity. Vidya counters, asserting that Rohit can manage the firm, but Kaveri counters by highlighting the differences between Armaan and Rohit. She points out that Armaan is actively fighting for the family's interests, while Rohit distanced himself when he learned about Armaan and Ruhi’s connection.

While Vidya acknowledges Armaan's bravery and support, she presses Kaveri about the job offer extended to Abhira. Kaveri responds that Abhira possesses the talent needed to contribute to their success, and without her involvement, she could pose a risk to the Poddar firm. Kaveri believes Abhira has the potential to become a valuable asset, ensuring that Armaan remains committed to the family and the firm.

Kaveri's response stuns Sanjay:

Vidya defends Sanjay, stating that he has devoted significant time and effort to the firm. However, Kaveri argues that while Sanjay is like a son-in-law, he still remains an outsider. She believes that for the Poddar legacy to thrive, Armaan must take the lead, with Abhira by his side. This revelation infuriates Sanjay, who overhears their conversation.

In the meantime, Abhira considers calling Manish for advice. Charu and Kiara discuss the importance of women pursuing their careers and the changes in their roles. Vidya reflects on Kaveri's words while performing aarti but accidentally drops the plate, which Armaan catches, revealing his emotional turmoil. Vidya leaves as Rohit enters, noticing Armaan's distress.
