Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Armaan says Abhira will always be family, divorce can’t change his feelings

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the focus shifts to Abhira's fragile state of mind and the family's growing concern for her well-being.

Kaveri, unable to watch Abhira suffer any longer, decides to take matters into her own hands. She quietly packs a bag, determined to do something that might help Abhira recover.

Maira’s Sleepless Night and Worries

Later that night, Maira lies awake in her room, struggling to fall asleep. She remembers a sleep trick Armaan once taught her and tries to follow it, but her thoughts drift back to Abhira. Instead of resting, she begins to worry whether her mother has been able to sleep at all. The thought unsettles her further, making it impossible for her to relax.

Her mind then recalls a moment from Pooja, where she had overheard Armaan angrily scolding someone. Since he never explained anything to her afterwards, Maira feels the need to find out what truly happened that day.

She wonders if Abhira might have been frightened by that incident, and with Armaan strictly asking her not to sleep in Abhira's room, Maira feels stuck in a dilemma, unable to decide what to do.

Kaveri Reveals Her Plan to Maira

Just then, Kaveri quietly enters Maira's room. She tells the little girl that she has a way to help Abhira recover. Eager to know more, Maira immediately asks her to explain. Kaveri, however, warns that the task won't be easy.

With innocent determination, Maira asks if it will truly make her mother better. Kaveri replies that they can only hope for the best. Hearing this, Maira confidently declares that she is ready to do even the toughest task if it means her mother will heal.

Before sharing the details, Kaveri makes her promise to keep everything a secret, especially from Armaan.

Maira’s Emotional Plea

In the following scene, Maira and Kaveri quietly make their way into Abhira's room. To their surprise, they don't see her anywhere. A worried Kaveri begins to fear that Abhira might have run away. But Maira, refusing to lose hope, checks the cupboard and finds her mother sitting inside, frightened and withdrawn. Relieved, Kaveri gently closes the door behind them and switches off the lights, hoping the darkness and calmness will ease Abhira's distress.

When Maira tries speaking to Abhira, she attempts to shut the cupboard door, but Maira stops her in time. Abhira, still gripped by fear, pleads to be left alone, worried that once again people will wrongly accuse and blame her. Kaveri steps in to reassure her, saying that she and Maira have already taken care of those who troubled her. She then encourages Abhira to step out, promising to take her somewhere peaceful where no one will disturb her.

Comforting Abhira and Encouraging Her to Step Out

Even then, Abhira refuses to come out. To ease her, Kaveri gently places Maira inside the cupboard beside her. Together, they try comforting Abhira, urging her to come out, but she remains unwilling to leave. At this point, Maira shares her feelings, expressing her wish to spend time with her mother after being separated from her for so many years.

She then agrees to stay inside the cupboard with Abhira but cleverly adds that from this spot they can look up to see their nani as a star. She explains that if they go with Kaveri to the nice place she mentioned, they will be able to see their nani even more clearly. Hearing this, Kaveri supports the idea, assuring Abhira that in that place no one will trouble her.

Armaan Stands Firm on His Bond with Abhira

On the other hand, Armaan expresses his growing concern to the doctor, insisting that Abhira's medication should not be increased further as it might worsen her condition.

Geetanjali questions Armaan about his constant presence outside Abhira's room, pointing out that she needs space to heal on her own.

However, Armaan refuses to back down, saying that Abhira is completely shattered and needs care and support. Armaan explains that when someone in the family falls sick, it is natural for everyone to care for them. Geetanjali interrupts, reminding him that Abhira is no longer his family.

She points out that their marriage has already ended. In response, Armaan reminds her of the feelings he had confessed about Abhira before the engagement. He admits that though their lives have now taken separate directions, Abhira remains an inseparable part of his world because she is Maira's mother. Armaan then declares that Abhira is his family and she will always be his family, and no piece of paper or legal formality can ever change this truth.

Trio's Journey to Mussoorie

Later, Armaan considers checking on Abhira one last time, but chooses to respect her space. Meanwhile, Kaveri, Abhira, and Maira prepare to leave. On their way out, Maira asks for her teddy bear. Kaveri tries to convince her to leave it behind by promising a new one, but Maira insists on carrying the old toy. Abhira gently requests Kaveri to allow Maira to bring it along.

As Maira heads to fetch her teddy, Armaan spots her. Before he can learn the truth, Kaveri hides the situation, telling Maira that helping Abhira is not wrong. When Maira asks where they are going, Kaveri keeps the destination a secret, adding to the suspense.

Abhira’s Emotional Return to Mussoorie

Soon after, the Poddar family realises that Kaveri has left with Abhira and Maira. Armaan grows restless, worried about Abhira's fragile condition. While Manisha tries to calm him by saying that Kaveri will handle everything, Armaan expresses doubt, pointing out that Kaveri herself needs care at her age—how will she manage both Abhira and Maira together?

Meanwhile, Kaveri finally brings Abhira to Mussoorie. The moment Abhira steps there, she is taken aback as old memories of the past come rushing back, leaving her emotional. Back in the Poddar house, Armaan desperately begins trying to trace the whereabouts of Kaveri, Abhira, and Maira.
