Star Plus Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the loved shows on television. The makers have always tried to focus on social issues its audiences could relate to.

It has been shown that the family has been insisting on a grandchild, but Kartik has been against it knowing the complications it would entail for Naira. But, Naira too, insists on having a child. The latest we hear is that the couple will decide to have a baby.

After much insistence, Karthik will be forced to go for surrogacy. Gayu will step in to help the couple and will act as a surrogate. How will their family react? Watch out this space to know more about the track...

Writer confirmed it's not happening.
