Who will make it to 'Dancing Star'?

After the successful completion of Nach Baliye 4, Star Plus is coming with the second season of Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar which has be rechristened as Jo Jeeta Wohi Dancing Star, as the battle has now moved to the dance floor.

The show will have the same concept as earlier, wherein the battle will be between Champions and Challengers. The channel as well as the production house, Endemol are trying to rope in some big names for the contest.

If sources are to be believed, there will be 6 Champions and 8 Challengers overall taking part in the show.

According to our source, "In the Champions league, Sachin-Supriya, Hussein-Tina, Aamir Ali-Sanjeeda Sheikh(all three jodis of Nach Baliye fame), Mouni Roy-Karishma Tanna(Zara Nachke Dikhaa), Mona Singh–Toby (Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa), Naman Shaw-Bindu (winners of Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket) and Kiran Sutwane-Pravin Ingle(Aaja Mahi Vay) have been approached".

"For the Challengers team, Krushna-Kashmera, Rakhi Sawant-Abhishek Awasthi, Yash-Gauri Tonkk, Varun Badola – Rajeshwari Sachdev (Nach Baliye fame), Chaitanya- Bakhtiyaar(Zara Nachke Dikhha), Mini Mathur and her choreo partner (Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa), Shama Sikander – Vinod Kambli (Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena) have been approached".

On asked about the surprising pairing of Rakhi-Abhishek even after they have split, our source informs us, "The channel wants to rope them in as Jodi for the show, and it looks like both are considering taking part in it".

We talked to Sachin, who categorically said, "I was approached, but my commitments do not give me any time for the show".

When asked Kiran Sutwane, winner of Aajaa Mahi Vay, the girl said, "We have been approached for the show. But I am doing Zee's Dance India Dance too. So I don't think I can do this show".

Mini Mathur says, "I would love to put on my dancing shoes again. But I don't know whether it will work out. Let's see".

According to our source, "Farah Khan has been approached as judge in the second season too. But nothing is finalized yet". Last year saw Farah Khan, Vishal and Shekar as judges to select the Superstar..

We tried calling Deepak Dhar, MD, Endemol, but he was unavailable for comments.

Well, let's wait and watch to see who goes out and who comes in, when it comes to the final list!!
