When "Ticket to Bollywood" did no good to these lead TV actors
Bollywood Debuts of these popular TV stars did not really make a mark.

Every television star nurses a silver screen dream. But not all of them are fulfilled. While some TV actors like Sushant Singh Rajput and Karan Singh Grover did succeed in making their mark on the big screen but not everyone is that lucky.
Dreaming big is not at all a bad thing but at the same time one has to be cautious that one does not end up being a Jack of all, Master of none!
Listed below are a few TV stars who made their big screen debut. These TV stars essayed main lead roles on the tube, but settled to play cameos or minuscule roles in their Bollywood debuts, reasons best known to them.
Gurmeet is etched in our minds as the angry, young and hot Mann Singh Khurana from Geet. There was a time when Gurmeet took over the television industry by storm. But he is yet to leave that level of mark on the 70mm screen yet. He was seen in a short role in Vikram Bhatt's horror flick Khamoshiyan where he played the main antagonist. But he did not leave a ling lasting impression on us. We are yet to watch Gurmeet go all out and charm everyone with his acting chops.
The chocolate boy from Splitsvilla can be remembered from his role is shows like Bhagyavidhata and Rishton Se Badi Pratha. But his big screen debut 1920:London Returns did not see Vishal get a proper platform to perform. He played a character who was possessed and honestly, we could see him in the character for hardly 20 minutes. Rest of Vishal's character was shown to be having a distorted and unrecognisable face.
Whenever Ekta Kapoor's Kayamath is brought up, what strikes one's mind is Jay Bhanushali. The actor's performance as Neev Shergill not only won him accolades but also awards. He then went on to do epic shows like Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil and Kairi. The actor too went the bollywood way and made his silver screen debut with Hate Story 2, which we felt was very short. With an actor like Jay, who has a certain amount of charm, the makers could have used him more.
He rocked the television industry when he stepped into television's path breaking show Balila Vadhu. Till date, Siddharth is remembered as Shiv from the show. The actor debuted on the big screen with Dharma Production's Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya as Alia Bhatt's fiance. But Siddharth failed to impress us because as huge a persona that Siddharth had, his role was that minuscule. Siddharth could have pulled off better roles or so, we feel.
He created huge waves when he entered Balika Vadhu as the grown up Jagya. His performance earned him rave reviews. But after quitting the show, we saw Shashank in a cameo role in Farak Khan's 'Tees Maar Khan'. The role, we felt, was pretty much as dismissal as the film itself. Our Jagya could do better.
As soon as Ssharad Malhotra's name is uttered, one can only picture him as Sagar from Banoo Main Teri Dulhann or Maharana Pratap from Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap or as Rishi from Kasam... Tere Pyaar Ki. Such were his epic roles. But sadly, Ssharad is not remembered for his stint in B-Town. He was a part o films like From Sydney With Love, My Father Godfather and will now be seen in a horror flick titled 1 13 7 (Ek Tera Saath).
Well, we can say that we are possessive of our television talent and would like to see them make waves in this industry and not just float around in the big bad world of Bollywood.
We would also love to conclude by saying that - No, we are not ridiculing their choice of films, but want to see them take up projects where we can get to see them let go all of their inhibitions and perform. After all, we have seen them exude their immense talent and potential on the small screen.

Didn't u find anything new to write..why are u posting the same article again and again? All these actors did a film or 2 films i think..how do u expect all the films to be super hit! All those actors didn't just stand for a poster...they did work hard! And the fame won't come with 1 film..and regarding choice of films..they do not have upper hand in choosing! Its their entry into BW and they can't be choosy... And why didn't u include IF's fav actor Barun...I think his name should top the list!BIASED IF! Keep upur hardwork Super Heros! Defn u all will shine like a star!
