Popular actor Sehban Azim speaks about his parents on the teachings which he has got from them. He feels it's natural to learn from things you see around. Similarly one learns a lot of things from a lot of people that they have been around with them.

He says, "My list includes so many wonderful teachers from school and college, grandparents, bosses I have worked under, family, relatives, friends and even friend's families. When it's about my learning I am so thankful to my parents. They are different people in nature and are individuals, with different ways of working and understanding. They had a different way of teaching things as well."

Sehban also adds, "My father, Abdul Azim who was an entrepreneur and a commercial artist has a vast knowledge about everything. I still remember him quoting from Vedas, Quran and from a lot of different authors and philosophers. Bertrand Russell is one of his favourites. He always had books around him and I was a curious kid who always wanted to know what he is reading and why is he reading. I have learned to be simple, patient, calm and also how there's no end to learning and you should always be ready and eager to learn new things and that would eventually transform into a good life."

Speaking about his mother, Azim adds, "My mother, Dr. Nigar Azim who is an Art Teacher and an Urdu fiction writer always had a different perspective towards life. She has a realistic approach and she is someone who always believed in doing than talking. She has immense clarity of thought and is very observant in nature. While growing up, I saw her going to school to teach coming back home to take care of the house, take care of me and my four siblings, helping us to study and cooking for us. While doing all of this she managed to study more and complete her PhD on Sadat Hasan Manto. She also penned down around 4-5 books and still continues to write, most of them being a collection of short stories mostly inspired by her real life. She also writes Urdu poetry and you can see such emotions flowing in abundance in each one of them. She is one super woman with such strong attributes. All this had an immense impact on me while growing up and I have learned so many things. I learnt how to be strong and to have a never give up in life, no matter what."

At the end, he adds,"To be more realistic it's not that I have learned all the brilliant things from them or from people around me. I have ended up picking and learning things I like irrespective them being good or bad. What life I have lived and I am going to live ahead is the biggest teacher in itself. I make mistakes, I learn, I make more mistakes and I learn more...the idea is that I should be willing to learn and improve."
