When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan said there was no question of losing her career to marriage and motherhood

 Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage has been the talk of the town since months. The arrival of the Bachchan bahu alone at the Ambani wedding made netizens wonder if the rumours of deep discord are indeed true. Some days back, a blind item hinted that a top Bollywood diva is planning a make a comeback in the Hindi film industry. Many felt it could be a hint that Ash is looking up at Bollywood scripts. In 2022, she delivered an amazing performance in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. As Nandini, she aced the grey character to perfection. 

As we know, the couple who were friends for a long time found their love growing deeper on the sets of Guru. They got married in 2007. The actress continued to work in movies but took a break after the birth of Aaradhya. Then, she was a hands-on mommy. At an international conference, the actress who had married recently was asked if domestic bliss would take precedence over her career, and would fans lose her to marriage. She said that she loved the idea of marriage. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stated, ““I am looking forward to babies, I am enjoying marriage, there is no question of losing oneself to it.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s last notable Hindi movie was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Fans went gaga over her chemistry with Ranbir Kapoor. She oozed glamour as Saba Taliyar Khan. The bags, oversized jackets, trench coats and lipsticks were a rage. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also did other movies like Sarbjit, Jazbaa but they were far and few. Abhishek Bachchan had said that she is a hands-on mom. He had said, “When she became a mother her career took a backseat. Today, she does everything for Aaradhya. She is supermom.” 

He said that she is grateful for the love showered on her as the most beautiful woman in the world. Abhishek said she enjoys her career despite its challenges. Recently, he said he would love to work on a movie with her if they get the right script.
